L'album est prévu pour début 2007

SIRENIA, the Norwegian gothic metal band featuring former TRISTANIA guitarist/vocalist Morten Veland, has finished mixing and mastering its new album, "Nine Destinies and a Downfall", due in early 2007 via Nuclear Blast Records.

"Nine Destinies and a Downfall" was recorded at Jailhouse studios in Norway with engineer Hans Eidsgard and Soundsuite studios in France with Terje Refsnes. The CD was mixed and mastered at Antfarm studios in Aarhus, Denmark with Tue Madsen. The cover artwork will be designed by Anthony Clarkson.

SIRENIA recently announced the addition of 27-year-old Danish female singer Monika Pedersen (photo) to the group's ranks. "Monika has been dedicated to music all her life, and has loads of experience from from other bands, projects, choirs etc." the group wrote on their web site. "In addition, she has been working with several professional singing teachers in Luxemburg and Denmark."

Pedersen joined SIRENIA as the replacement for Henriette Bordvik, who quit the band last September.

SIRENIA last year signed a new record deal with Nuclear Blast. The band have released two successful albums to date (2002's "At Sixes and Sevens" and 2004's "An Elixir for Existence") and in 2004 toured Europe with TIAMAT, PAIN and THEATRE OF TRAGEDY.

Pour moi ça a été une bonne découverte, j'aime beaucoup

je dirais que c'est du metal gothique à chanteuse avec des titres bien accrocheurs.

J'aime beaucoup aussi, particulièrement d'ailleurs le morceau que tu as mis en lien.

le problème c'est que scéniquement c'est très limite donc ça m'a jamais donné envie de m'y pencher . La chanteuse manque de charisme sur scène , on dirait vraiment qu'elle flippe sur scène.

Ah je les ai jamais vu en live. Ils seront avec Therion en fin d'année c'est ça ?

"The 13th Floor" will be released on January 23 via Nuclear Blast Records. The CD was tracked at Sound Suite Studios in France and Stargoth Studios in Norway while the mixing and mastering sessions took place at the Antfarm Studios in Denmark with Tue Madsen. The group says, "Expect a melodic and powerful album in the typical SIRENIA vein. The album features guest appearances by Jan Kenneth Barkved (who also did some guest appearances on our debut, 'At Sixes and Sevens'), French violin player Stephanie Valentin adds to the sound along with the Sirenian choir that has been an important part of our sound since the very beginning."

Ils ont recruté une chanteuse française :

Norwegian-based symphonic gothic metal veterans SIRENIA have announced the addition of singer Emmanuelle Zoldan to the group's ranks.

Commented the band: "Our cooperation goes back 13 years to the recordings of our second album 'An Elixir For Existence'. She has been a part of the choir on all our albums since then. She also did some lead vocals for the band on our EP 'Sirenian Shores', on our cover version of Leonard Cohen's song 'First We Take Manhattan'. And from now on she will also take the rôle as full time lead singer for SIRENIA.

"Emmanuelle is musically educated at Aix en Provence and Marseille Conservatories (4 years) and specialized at C.N.I.P.A.L Professional school of opera (2 years) She also made a career singing at various operas in France for many years and have collaborated with several bands and projects.

"Emmanuelle can handle lots of different musical styles and various techniques in addition to classical and opera, and this has had a big influence on our new album.

"The album was finished recently and we can't wait to share the music and our new sound with you.

"This is without doubt the most diverse SIRENIA album to date, and this album marks a new beginning and new direction for the band in many ways."

SIRENIA's new album, "Dim Days Of Dolor", will be released on November 11 via Napalm. Iit consists of eleven brand new songs plus one bonus track. The artwork was once again created by Gyula Havancsák from Hjules Illustration And Design. The CD was mixed at Hansen Studios in Denmark.

Le nouvel opus de Sirenia (Metal Sympho) se nomme Arcane Astral Aeons et sortira le 26 Octobre via Napalm Records. Une lyric video pour la chanson Love Like Cyanide est maintenant disponible.
