j'ai écouté les extraits, il a l'air assez violent, avec des passages limite death. Après y en a pas assez pour juger mais il a l'air dans la lignée des autres. Folklo/ Happy metal, avec cette fois une pointe de death ça peut le faire

Italian folk metallers ELVENKING have issued the following update:

"It's been a while since the release of our last album 'The Scythe', which moved a whirlwind of different reactions on the metal crowd (thing that we love so much) and is growing as a great success for this band.

"Now we'd like to announce that ELVENKING are working on a brand new exciting project. The next release from ELVENKING will be another great challenge, something that once again will create curiosity: a totally acoustic album.

"So no hard riffing and headbanging amount of metallic mayhem this time, but softer, romantic but still strong and emotional rhymes in music. We can consider this as an experiment, something that shows once again how much this band needs everytime new paths to follow and to express itself and its musical ideas.

"If someone thinks that this decision may come as a reaction to 'The Scythe' album we can say that we are working on this idea since a lot of time and that is also why 'The Scythe' contains a lot of heavy material and less folky stuff for example. The concept of that album didn't allow us to use some of the softer and easier melodies we are also used to, and there they will come to life.

"The acoustic album will contain a lot of new songs and different approaches to the non-electric side of the band but also some older songs revisited in a totally new version. So be ready for something different, hoping you can appreciate also this side of the bans, that by the way you already know well for episodes like 'Skywards', 'On the Morning Dew', 'Disillusion's Reel', 'Totentanz', 'Hobs an' Feathers', 'Loser's Ball'... just to name a few.

"While we are working on this new project though, we are also songwriting for the next 'standard' electric ELVENKING album, choosing which ideas can be represented at best in acoustic or heavy form. This just to let you know that we are simultaneously working on the two things so you can consider the acoustic album as an intermezzo before the new ELVENKING electric album.

"We have no release dates ideas for them yet, but in the meantime we'd love to invite you to visit us on stage for the next gigs and to share a beer with us!"

Ben j'ai vu la vidéo "the divided heart" de Elvenking et j'ai bien aimé ! Le violon se mariait bien avec la chanson. Le clip est pas mal, j'avais loupé une "petit" détail à la fin qui explique tout !

Italian folk/power metallers ELVENKING have set "Red Silent Tides" as the title of their new album, which is tentatively due this fall via AFM Records. The CD was recorded at Piranha studios in Karsdolf, Germany with producer Dennis Ward (ANGRA, PINK CREAM 69, PRIMAL FEAR). The album's cover artwork, which can be viewed below, was created by Samuel Araya, who has previously worked on CRADLE OF FILTH's "Thornography" CD.

Nouvel album le 14 septembre pour les italiens.

Italian folk/power metallers ELVENKING will release their new album, "Era", on September 14 via AFM Records. The CD was recorded at Sonic Pump Studios in Helsinki, Finland with producer Nino Laurenne (AMORPHIS, LORDI, SONATA ARCTICA, APOCALYPTICA). Nino previously worked with the band on "The Winter Wake" and "The Scythe" CDs.

"Era" features guest appearances by Jon Oliva (SAVATAGE, JON OLIVA'S PAIN), Teemu Mäntysaari (WINTERSUN), Maurizio Cardullo (FOLKSTONE), Alessandro Conti (RHAPSODY, TRICK OR TREAT), Marco Sandron (EDEN'S CURSE, PATHOSRAY) and Giordana Gisamano (INSANITY FAIR).

Italian folk metal act Elvenking have announced that the new album (and follow up to 2012's "Era") will be entitled "The Pagan Manifesto." The album is expected out in May 2014 via AFM Records and more information is expected soon.

Live/DVD à venir :

Italian folk metal act Elvenking will issue a live DVD/2CD release entitled "The Night of Nights - Live" on December 4th (USA) and January 22nd (USA) via AFM Records.

The band commented: "After 8 studio albums, we finally fulfill the wish of our dedicated, worldwide ELVENLEGIONS and release a Live DVD now!"

The recordings for "The Night Of Nights - Live" took place in the band's hometown of Pordenone, Italy. The magic of that very special night was captured perfectly. "The Night Of Nights - Live" will come as a DVD/2CD Digipak, which includes the full show (more than two hours
playing time) on both the DVD and 2CD. Additionally, the DVD will feature the band's six official video clips.

The cover artwork - shown below - was created by artist Samuel Araya Art. The track listing is:
