Girlschool are completing work on their 13th studio album Guilty As Sin with Grammy nominated producer Chris Tsangarides (Judas Priest, Thin Lizzy, Black Sabbath, Gary Moore). The album will be released by UDR Records worldwide in the summer.
A noter par ailleurs que le groupe donnera ses premiers concerts en Amérique du Nord en près de 20 ans, en mai prochain.
Avec notamment Crucified Barbara en support.
R.I.P Ronnie James Dio ! :(

Avec un EP en édition limitée, dont 2 réenregistrements :
Legendary all-girl British hard rockers GIRLSCHOOL are gearing up to storm North America for the first time in 20 years, reclaiming their rightful place as the hardest-rocking bunch of females to ever destroy a stage. Support on the trek will come from CRUCIFIED BARBARA, OLD JAMES and VELVET BLACK.

GIRLSCHOOL will be previewing tracks from its new album, "Guilty As Sin", set for release later this summer via UDR Music and, as a special treat, will be selling a special-edition EP, "Propaganda!", featuring two songs from the new album ("Take It Like A Band" and "Come, The Revolution"), as well as revisiting two tracks from their classic "Hit And Run" album in the form of re-recorded versions of "Kick It Down" and "Watch Your Step". Rounding out the EP, which is limited to 300 copies, is the girls' blistering cover of the BEE GEES classic "Staying Alive".

Both "Propaganda!" and "Guilty As Sin" were helmed by legendary producer Chris Tsangarides (JUDAS PRIEST, THIN LIZZY, ANVIL).

Tsangarides previously had a brief cooperation with GIRLSCHOOL on the 1983 "1-2-3-4 Rock And Roll" EP.

GIRLSCHOOL issued a re-recorded version of its classic second album, "Hit And Run", complemented by two bonus tracks. Available in Europe since September 2011, "Hit And Run - Revisited" was released in the U.S. in January 2012 via UDR in three versions: a CD digipak, a regular jewel case CD and a vinyl LP with gatefold sleeve.

Sortie prévue pour novembre :

Legendary all-girl British hard rockers GIRLSCHOOL will release their 13th studio album, "Guilty As Sin", on November 13 in North America via UDR Music in red colored vinyl, digital download and a deluxe ecolbook formats.

Pre-orders for "Guilty As Sin" will begin on October 9, with the first single, "Come The Revolution" (only available on the physical U.S. edition) as an instant-grat track.

Produced by Chris Tsangarides (JUDAS PRIEST, THIN LIZZY) at the Ecology Room Studios in Kent, England, "Guilty As Sin" includes ten tracks of the driven, melodic yet gloriously riff-heavy rock'n'roll that Kim McAuliffe (vocals and guitar), Enid Williams (vocals and bass), Jackie Chambers (lead guitar and backing vocals) and Denise Dufort (drums) are world famous for.

Featuring raw, energetic, killer cuts such as "Take It Like A Band", "Treasure" and "Come The Revolution", "Guilty As Sin" is soaked in the late-night spills 'n' sweat of beer, cigarettes, denim and leather — a timeless evocation of how it feels to throw away all life's B.S. and get down'n'dirty with loud, crunchy yet catchy rock 'n' roll. There's also time for two storming cover songs (including the superb, swaggering rock version of THE BEE GEES' '70s disco classic "Stayin' Alive").
