Les jeunes Thrashers Finlandais verront leur premier effort commun paraître le 15 Mars prochain :

17, 18, 19, 19. No, that’s not today’s lottery numbers, but the age of the band members of Finland’s most promising contemporary newcomer combo. Founded early 2010 in Jyväskylä by thrash/speed metal enthusiast Samy Elbanna, the front man gathered an ensemble of passionate allies around him to establish a band that soon should become known as the most energetic up-and-comers Scandinavia had seen in years – LOST SOCIETY!

Crafted under the aegis of famous producer Nino Laurenne (AMORPHIS, ENSIFERUM, LORDI) in the prestigious Sonic Pump Studios (FINNTROLL, SONATA ARCTICA, OMNIUM GATHERUM), the band’s debut entitled “Fast Loud Death“ will be released via Nuclear Blast on March 15, 2013. Already in the first quarter, this record can doubtlessly be ranked among this year’s best releases of its genre!

The fantastic cover artwork was designed by no less a figure than Ed Repka (MEGADETH, DEATH, SANCTUARY, VENOM), who has once again created a true masterpiece that perfectly suits LOST SOCIETY’s music, as band leader Samy states:
“When we heard that the one and only Ed Repka would be responsible for the album art, we were thrilled, as he created some of the most killer album covers of all times! The result looks absolutely amazing and truly captures the album’s theme - a bus full of crazy people who blew it up big time!”

Maestro Ed Repka himself comments: "This was a lot of work but a fun project, since both the band and the label were great to work with and very receptive to my input. LOST SOCIETY’s comical concept of their tour bus leaving a town destroyed was cool, but to make it even more crazy, I added the pop-culture "monster in car" aspect, giving the whole image a distinct, aggressive presence. Another tongue-in-cheek metal masterpiece is born!"

Après écoute hier soir, ça ne casse pas trois pattes à un canard non plus, c'est juste sympa. En leur faveur, ils ont super bien capté l'esprit de leur style thrash 1986/88, mi-Exodus mi-Anthrax.

YES. Très prometteurs, ces jeunes finlandais. Ils ont bien assimilé leurs influences. Si le morceau ne brille pas mélodiquement (sauf dans la partie solo), musicalement c'est très bien mis en place, nerveux, précis. Leur détermination est nette, et c'est ça qui fera la différence.

LOST SOCIETY, one of the most promising Finnish newcomers of our times, are back with a vengeance in 2014.

The new album named »Terror Hunrgy« is set to be released April 04 and the four newbies set their own standards even higher.
Produced by Nino Laurenne (AMORPHIS, ENSIFERUM, LORDI) at the renowned Sonic Pump studios (FINNTROLL, SONATA ARCTICA, OMNIUM GATHERUM),
the Finns shred their way through the new record with the energy and speed of an out-of-control freight train, rolling downhill on the way to Thrash-Olymp.

The debut »Fast Loud Death« already displayed a true Oldschool-Thrash manifest in 2013 and managed
to amaze press and scene veterans such as KREATOR, TANKARD, DESTRUCTION or TESTAMENT alike.

Dix mois à peine après la sortie de leur premier album, on ne peut pas dire qu'ils perdent leur temps En même temps, le retro thrash est une musique tellement recherchée et travaillée musicalement...

C'est vrai, comme tous les groupes de cette vague retro thrash... Mais en même temps Lost Society est loin d'être le pire groupe et leur premier album est finalement assez plaisant.

Ouai bon pareil quoi, pas de grosse nouveautés, mais bon ça passe bien quand même pour ma part!

Un peu le soucis avec ces groupes, c'est toujours du ça passe bien, qui au final après quelques mois devient juste du c'est vite chiant. Mais comme beaucoup d'autres, du moment qu'ils s'éclatent à jouer leur truc et que d'autres prennent leur panard en face, tant mieux pour eux.

C'est pas faux! Quand j'y réfléchi j'ai pas retenu grand chose du 1er. D'ailleurs c'est pour cette raison que je voudrais remettre la main dessus pour me refaire une idée, mais il est perdu j'ai l'impression!

Pendant bien deux ans facile j'ai apprécié le mouvement en général, y voyant ce que c'est obejctivement: des mecs qui se prennent pas la tête et plus un tribute au style qu'autre chose, mais au final ça tourne tellement en rond avec beaucoup de groupes sans saveur qu'on en devient largement dégoûté avec le temps.

Aujourd'hui ceux que je suis encore car "le truc en plus" doivent se compter sur les doigts d'une main je pense.

Après ça reste mon ressenti, je suis pas une réfèrence non plus.
