RHAPSODY: THE 20th ANNIVERSARY REUNION FAREWELL TOUR
Fabio Lione, Luca Turilli, Dominique Leurquin, Patrice Guers and Alex Holzwarth proudly announce the reunion of the original members of RHAPSODY, and the relevant farewell tour of the band.
The Italian band Rhapsody, one of the greatest icons of Symphonic Power Metal, will gather together to commemorate the 20th Anniversary from their first official release, playing their album “Symphony Of Enchanted Lands” in full, as well as other classics of the band. It will be an exciting and emotional event no one should ever miss, as this will be the only and last chance to see the band performing on stage together. The Rhapsody’s 20th Anniversary Farewell Tour will be hosted by Top Link Music.

j'y comprends plus grand chose : Rhapsody se sépare en 2 groupes, F.Leone vient d'annoncer qu'il arrêtait son Rhapsody et ils nous font ensemble un farewell Tour ???
Mais bon, l'album "Symphony.." en entier , je suis preneur .

Pour les 20 ans de leur premier album, ils joueront leur second album en entier ... ah bah oui tiens, ça reste dans la logique du reste en fin de compte ^^

Nan c'est pire que ça, j'ai pas trop suivi le groupe ces 10 dernières années, mais si j'ai bien tout compris :

1. F.Leone vient d'annoncer qu'il arrêtait le Rhapsody de Alex Staropoli (qui doit être au fond du seau ?!)
2. Turilli fait un farewell tour de Rhapsody ... mais il fait un Farewell tour de quel Rhapsody ? Celui de Staropoli alors qu'il est pas dans le groupe ? Le sien ? (LT's Rhapsody), les 2 ? Ou alors ils reforment le Rhapsody originel avec Staropoli, le vire et lance un farewell tour ?

3. Ils font un farewell tour avec le linup d'origine ... sauf qu'ils sont que 2 de ce line up (Turilli et Lione), le batteur d'origine était Daniele Carbonera (jusqu'au 3eme album), le bassiste était je sais pas qui mais sur Symphony c'etait Alessandro Lotta et ce jusqu'au 4eme album je crois ? Leurquin est arrivé comme 2eme gratteux scénique a cette époque aussi. Et Staropoli n'a pas l'air d'être de la partie

Donc, c'est du grand n'importe quoi tout ça, ou alors j'ai loupé un épisode ?

Moi tout ce que j'ai compris et que je retiens c'est qu'ils vont jouer Symphony Of... en entier. Je suis le troisième prenneur

C'est peut-être pas si bordélique que ça en a l'air : en gros Turilli a récupéré temporairement Lione et Holzwarth qui se sont barrés de Rhapsody of Fire, afin de proposer une tournée basée sur l'album le plus réputé de Rhapsody.

Par contre la promo "Farewell" machin avec une soit-disant "reformation" avec les "original members" est effectivement bien foireuse, quasi mensongère.
Et le concept de célébrer l'anniversaire du premier album pour finalement jouer le second, il fallait l'inventer.

PowerMetal.cl interviewed vocalist Fabio Lione about the anticipation of the 20th Rhapsody Reunion featuring Lione, Luca Turilli, Dominique Leurquin, Patrice Guers, and Alex Holzwarth.

Speaking about the reunion, Lione said, “After this tour the ‘original’ band Rhapsody will not exist anymore. Luca will make some different music with his band. And me and Holzy we will do different things. So that’s why it’s a farewell and a 20th year’s celebration tour! Regarding the set-list we will play the complete Symphony record plus some songs that the band never played live before! Of course we will also have some hits and classic Rhapsody songs during the set.”

Luca Turilli states: “I am really super excited to be part of this unique and special event together with Fabio and my other friends. The fact of playing legendary songs like “Wings Of Destiny”, “Beyond The Gates Of Infinity” and “The Dark Tower Of Abyss”, never played on stage before, will be the best way to celebrate the 20th Anniversary and a great reason to meet together for a very last time. This farewell tour represents for me the closing of one important chapter of my music career, as in the future I will dedicate myself to the cinematic music style of my new Luca Turilli’s Rhapsody band and to other important projects exclusively. Don’t miss such amazing event. It will be the last time you will be able to see me, Fabio and Alex Holzwarth together on stage playing some Rhapsody songs. Ouais, j'y suis allé. Concert de mise en jambe pour Rhapsody , concert complet dans une salle de 500 personnes.
le groupe a joué 1h45-2h . Ce qui m'a marqué, c'est le plaisir du groupe d'être sur scène , ils semblaient vraiment heureux d'être là et ensemble ;ils venaient sans cesse au bord de la scène en faisant des signes au public et notamment Leurquin qui avait une de ces banane.
Comme promis, l'album Enchanted land ( qui n'est pas mon préféré ) a été joué en entier et dans l'ordre .... juste entrecoupé de "Knightrider of Doom" , puis ce fut un "best" de leur premiers albums jusqu'à Power of the Dragonflamme. Aucuns titres des albums suivants même pas Enchanted land 2.
L'absence de Rambo au clavier a été compensé par des samples ou pas , ce qui n'a pas toujours eu un bon rendu ou donné un peu de puissance aux morceaux .
Une choriste lyrique s'est pointé pour un duo avec Leone sur "Enchanted land" - superbe instant . Le Fabio a vraiment une voix remarquable . Par contre , le contact avec le public fut un peu plus approximatif : il a tenté de parler en français, en italien, en anglais , sans avoir toujours de réponse du public.
J'ai cru comprendre qu'il espérait revenir jouer en France ............
Et le solo de Patrice Guers , quelle merveille comme toujours . Un des meilleurs bassiste à mon avis . Par contre, je n'arrive pas à supporter l'attitude et la gestuelle du Turilli .
Bon concert en conclusion, vu le plaisir du groupe et du publics les adieux furent long . Vu que c'était un concert de chauffe, il auraient pu en balancer une dernière.
