Yep entre autre (ces deux là ont été mis en ligne par un mec de Grèce qui vit pas loin de chez moi en Allemagne, rencontré lors de leur passage ici d'ailleurs, les titres en question étaient dispo via téléchargement avec une carte vendue puis donnée au merch durant les dates de cette année. Il y a un autre titre d'ailleurs, ceux qui ont chopé ça au KIT ou autre connaissent déjà les 3 ), en fait pour presque tous j'ai plusieurs versions différentes (Too Late a plus rien à voir, j'accrochais pas du tout aux premières versions), ils les retravaillent en permanence.

Au passage, Jason Bittner ayant rejoint Flotsam & Jetsam, il a quitté Toxik.

American thrashers Toxik have announced the departure of their drummer Jason Bittner. He just joined fellow Americans Flotsam & Jetsam. Bittner joins the veteran Arizona metallers as the replacement for Kelly Smith, who recently left the band to focus on family matters.

Here is what Jason Bittner had to say about his exit: "Well as they say when one door closes another opens - today I announce my departure from Toxik in order to focus on some new projects I will be involved in in 2015 that will require my full attention and commitment - that will be announced soon. In the meantime I'd like to thank Josh, Mikey, and Bill for an amazing year of playing together- these guys are some of the best players I've been lucky to jam with. So if you're a drummer and are looking for a crazy prog thrash band, contact Josh - love you guys and I wish you the best."

Toxik's guitarist and founding member Josh Christian recently posted a lengthy update on Facebook regarding recent lineup changes and the status of their long-awaited new album, In Humanity, which will be their first since 1989's Think This, and is expected to be released later this year or next year.

He writes: "Here's what I can say... And I will go into greater detail later but I know people are waiting, so this isn't an official press release but instead a shout out to our friends...so you don't forget us or lose hope.

"When we announced we'd be doing something in 2013 there were no songs written... I had a few things that were laying around and a couple of tracks from a solo project I was working on but basically we were starting from scratch...we were encouraged by the response that came from that announcement...(which was way too soon) but it wasn't real yet.

"To keep it short... Going back on the road a few times made us all aware of what the demands of touring are. It's not easy.. Especially for older guys that have lives and are settled in their ways. I had written 10-15 songs in about a 3 month period and that was to be In Humanity I demoed the tracks, Mike Sanders came and sang on a few of them Jason Bittner cut drums for all and Bill Bodily came in and dropped bass tracks on the songs with vocals... in between that we did the first Euro run spring 14 and when we got back we worked some more on the tracks with Mike doing a few more and Bill as well all in all we finished 6 tracks... Went back out again at the end of 14 and came back and sort of fizzled. We didn't get signed like we thought we were going too...I had a personal issue that was pulling me out of the loop and the guys got frustrated by this..

"Jason leaving for Flotsam set me back personally because I felt like I had dropped the ball but in truth he wasn't that happy (I don't think anyway) Toxik was starting over and he was used to being in a working band. There were other personal issues as well...so when we went to Latin America last fall/spring (there) that was when the touring schedule really became an issue...20 plus flights in like 14-15 days it was nuts flying twice in 24 hours no sleep etc... This shit is a grind and it's not for everyone... Monies didn't get distributed, we got stuck in Argentina etc...Also the gel just was not there interpersonally...

"The one really great thing that came out if the Latin American run was James DiMaria...So when we came back we didn't talk much and I started writing again this time from a different place completely... Couple years of gigging and playing has paid off so I wrote 5-6 new tracks musically added them to the better tracks off of IH and here we are... There's more to it but bottom line. Some things have changed and the official announcements about these changes are forthcoming... the record is getting done now... It's better more focused and we are a real band not just something thrown together around a Facebook comment.. Thanks for being patient. JC."

J'ai eu une grosse discussion avec Josh il y a quelques mois et il y a encore pas mal de choses qui vont encore tomber dont il ne peux pas parler en public pour le moment (du coup je vais pas développer), dont certaines qui vont surprendre pas mal de monde.

Pour avoir entendu certains des nouveaux titres, je confirme que c'est meilleur dans l'ensemble que ce qui a été enregistré depuis la reformation, y compris les quelques morceaux distribués au KIT et sur la tournée.

Tu peux lui demander a josh de balancer les dates pour cet été au cas ou je dis bien au cas ou une date serait en France je trouve rien sur leur site.

Il doit faire un update quand il aura le temps, mais à priori rien en France encore.

Pour info et suite à ce dont je parlais en Septembre dernier, les plus attentifs auront remarqué que les photos balancées sur les dates ne correspondent pas au line-up de leur dernier passage. Pas encore d'annonce officielle mais suite à ces photos, je ne pense pas trop sortir des clous en annoncant que cette fois ce sera Charles Sabin (qui a officié sur Think This) qui sera au chant, en plus d'autres changements. Ce sera donc un show globalement différent cette fois-ci.

Coffret triple CD annoncé. Un peu fourre-tout avec des sessions, des nouveaux titres, des réenregistrements...

No Dust Records has announced the worldwide release of the new 3CD boxset from New York thrashers Toxik.

III Works will be released in April and will feature the complete recording sessions of In Humanity (2014) and Breaking Class (2017), plus brand new songs and all new re-recorded Toxik classics. The package will include a poster plus three separate discs with individual artworks.

Peekskill, New York thrash metal veterans Toxik has announced that their new album, "Dis Morta" will be released on August 5, 2022 via Massacre Records. "Dis Morta" marks the thrash metal legends' third full-length album, and picks up where "Think This," the band's second album, leaves off. This will also be the first album recorded with the current lineup, making it the first Toxik album not to feature bassist Brian Bonini or drummer Tad Leger.
