Le premier album sortira en mars.

ADRENALINE MOB — the new band featuring drummer Mike Portnoy (DREAM THEATER, AVENGED SEVENFOLD), SYMPHONY X frontman Russell Allen, guitar virtuoso Mike Orlando (SONIC STOMP), bassist Paul DiLeo and STUCK MOJO/FOZZY axeman Rich Ward — will release its full-length debut, "Omertá", on March 13 via the newly formed Elm City Music in conjunction with EMI Label Services. The 11-song CD — which was produced by ADRENALINE MOB and mixed by Jay Ruston, who has previously worked on ANTHRAX's "Worship Music" and STEEL PANTHER's "Balls Out" — includes a blistering reinterpretation of DURAN DURAN's classic "Come Undone" featuring guest vocals by Lzzy Hale of HALESTORM.

J'ai écouté ce morceau hier, principalement parce que c'est Allen au chant, et effectivement il est assez méconnaissable...
Et musicalement c'est pas mon truc...

Pas génial la chanson du clip en effet... Faudra que j'écoute les autres morceaux car si tout est comme ça, j'ai beau être fan d'Allen (et de Portnoy), je pense faire impasse sur cet album

Leur nouveau bassiste est celui de Disturbed.

ADRENALINE MOB — the band featuring drummer Mike Portnoy (DREAM THEATER, AVENGED SEVENFOLD), SYMPHONY X frontman Russell Allen and guitar virtuoso Mike Orlando (SONIC STOMP) — has announced the addition of DISTURBED bassist John Moyer to the group's ranks.

Moyer will make his live debut with ADRENALINE MOB on March 12 at Hiro Ballroom in New York City.

Said Moyer in a statement: "Mike Portnoy called me about auditioning for his new band ADRENALINE MOB. He had heard through the grapevine that I was looking to stay busy while DISTURBED is on hiatus. After jamming with Russ, Mike Orlando, and Portnoy, the chemistry as musicians was undeniable. I am super stoked about joining 'The Family' and I can't wait to hit the road with these guys and see what kind of musical mayhem we can create!"

J'aime beaucoup tout ce que j'ai écouté jusqu'à maintenant, j'attends vraiment ça avec impatience.

A noter que le groupe sera en Europe au mois de juin. Déjà annoncé dans des festivals et des dates en solo ? En tout cas ils sont confirmés au Z7 de Pratteln le 18 juin. Malheureusement je ne pense pas y aller, y'a BEAUCOUP trop de trucs en mai/juin !!

"Omertà" m'a bien déçu quand même au vu de l'association Allen / Portnoy (qui donne un peu l'impression de vouloir toucher à tout et n'importe quoi depuis son éviction de Dream Theater, ceci explique peut-être aussi cela).

Je les avais déjà trouvés un cran au-dessus sur scène l'été dernier, à commencer par l'énergie déployée par les zicos, mais je retournerai pas les voir.

En revanche ils avaient montré être doués dans l'exercice des reprises, il faut bien leur reconnaître au moins ça.
"The Mob Rules" et "Come Undone" étaient prévisibles dans la mesure où il s'agissait respectivement du seul intérêt a posteriori de leur premier E.P. éponyme, et que le second figurait sur leur premier disque.
"Stargazer" et "Luke's Wall / War Pigs" rendaient super bien j'avais trouvé, donc je reste optimiste pour celles qui vont suivre.

Mais alors l'arrivée du nouveau bassiste risque d'entériner définitivement cette direction "moderne" enclenchée à demi-mot de manière plus ou moins assumée précédemment.

J'avais même pas remarqué qu'ils avaient remis celle de "The Mob Rules" tiens, là pour le coup "Adrenaline Mob" devient totalement inutile pour les amateurs, sachant que tous les autres titres figurent sur l'album, un peu étrange comme démarche.

Mike Portnoy quitte le groupe, il n'a plus le temps :

Drummer Mike Portnoy (ADRENALINE MOB, FLYING COLORS, THE WINERY DOGS, DREAM THEATER, AVENGED SEVENFOLD) has released the following statement:

"It saddens me to announce that the four upcoming shows in Latin America this month supporting HALESTORM will be my last with ADRENALINE MOB.

"Unfortunately, I have scheduling conflicts that prevent me from being able to fully commit to the band's future activities at the moment.

"As I cannot be in two places at the same time, I don't want to hold them back and have to wait for my schedule to re-open up to resume activity.

"I'm very proud of what we started together and the music we made over the past two years and I wish the guys all the best in the future."

**UPDATE**: In a post on his official forum, Portnoy added: "Although this inevitable scheduling situation has been brewing for a while with ADRENALINE AMOB, it was very important for me to make the announcement before playing these final four shows as I didn't want to mislead the fans at these shows into believing I was staying when I knew I wasn't going to be...

"My honesty with the fans is absolutely ALWAYS #1 priority with me.

"In any case, I will play these final four shows and I'm sure we will all have a great time!
It will be a nice final celebration to what was a fun chapter for all of us involved...

"And then life will go on...

"No need for drama...

"Sometimes things just don't work out as you had hoped...

"Inevitably, when you playing in 27 different bands, sometimes something has to give...

"Life's too short...let's all enjoy the music!"

Il s'agit de AJ Pero, le batteur de Twisted Sister.

ADRENALINE MOB's current lineup includes Russell Allen (vocals; also of SYMPHONY X), Mike Orlando (guitar), John Moyer (bass; also of DISTURBED), and the band's latest addition, drummer A.J. Pero (also of TWISTED SISTER).
