German power metal band MYSTIC PROPHECY entered Prophecy Studios on December 19, 2008 to begin recording its sixth album, entitled "Fireangel", for a May 22 release via Massacre Records. The follow-up to 2007's "Satanic Curses" will be mixed in Sweden under the direction of Fredrik Nordström (DIMMU BORGIR, ARCH ENEMY, IN FLAMES) and R.D. Liapakis (FIREWIND, CHASTAIN, ELDRITCH) and will be made available as a limited-edition digipack featuring bonus material. According to the band, the new CD "will be a step between 'Regressus' [2003] and 'Savage Souls' [2006]."

Greek/German heavy metallers MYSTIC PROPHECY will release their seventh album, "Ravenlord", on November 25 via Massacre Records. The CD was recorded at Prophecy Music Factory studios with singer/producer Roberto Dimitri Liapakis (MYSTIC PROPHECY, SUICIDAL ANGELS, VALLEY'S EVE, INSIDEAD) and was mixed by Fredrik Nordström (DIMMU BORGIR, ARCH ENEMY, IN FLAMES). The effort marks the recording debut of the band's new drummer, Claudio Sisto, who joined MYSTIC PROPHECY in June 2010. The artwork was created by Jonas Kawalek, who previously with the group on their fifth album, "Satanic Curses".

Greek/German heavy metallers MYSTIC PROPHECY will release their eighth album, "Killhammer", on September 27 via Massacre Records. The effort will be made available as a jewel case, limited-edition A5 digipak with a bonus live DVD, as well as limited vinyl LP in gatefold cover.

"Killhammer" was recorded at the Prophecy & Music Factory Studios with singer Roberto Dimitri Liapakis (SUICIDAL ANGELS, VALLEY'S EVE, INSIDEAD) once again sitting in the producer's chair. Fredrik Nordström (HAMMERFALL, IN FLAMES, ARCH ENEMY) was responsible for the mix at the Studio Fredman in Sweden. The album's cover artwork was created by Uwe Jarling and can be seen below.

Le nouvel album, "War Brigade", sortira en mars :

Mystic Prophecy will release their ninth studio album in March. The band around frontman and producer R.D. Liapakis has already finished the album recordings at the Music Factory & Prophecy Studio. R.D. Liapakis and Fredrik Nordström are currently adding finishing touches to the album at the Studio Fredman (In Flames, Sabaton, Arch Enemy).

Vocalist R.D. Liapakis comments:

"It's been the 6th time we're working with Fredrik. We go along well and respect his work. I can't wait to get feedback for the new album, because the expectations are high. I'm 100% sure that we won't disappoint any fan with WAR BRIGADE! Yes, the cat’s out of the bag, the new album's called War Brigade!”

The band also revealed that the cover artwork will once again be created by Uwe Jarling, who is also responsible for the artwork for KillHammer, the German’s last album.

War Brigade will be released on March 18 via Massacre Records.

Celui-là est plus écoutable, contrairement à "Metal Brigade" effectivement risible. Bon après les textes sont du même acabit, mais musicalement ça va encore, même si j'ai l'impression qu'ils n'évoluent toujours pas.

J'ai l'album et je le trouve très bon. Hyper catchy et efficace!

je ne sais pas, mon homme n´a que l´album Regressus que je n´aime pas du tout. Mais bon on les verra live en octobre, je verrai bien si j´accroche plus ou pas.

Le morceau est pas mal, à noter qu'il aborde exactement la même histoire antique que le dernier clip de Firewind, deux groupes hellènes bien sûr.

Mais la vidéo est encore plus stéréotypée ici je crois, en reprenant aveuglément la vision nationaliste, binaire et manichéenne des guerres médiques dépeinte dans le film 300, idéalisant les spartiates à l'excès pour servir une propagande caricaturale de héros "mythiques". Tout ça est à des années lumière de la réalité historique autrement plus complexe, d'autant que même les autres peuples grecs de cette guerre sont évidemment ignorés (pas assez pseudo-virils je présume). La bataille en question fut pourtant une défaite, devenue héroïque plus tard, mais sans doute pas pour les grecs de l'époque qui ont morflé!
Il est vrai que cette vision ultra romancée (pour ne pas employer un autre mot) de l'Histoire est d'une manière générale bien dans l'air du temps...

J'écoute régulièrement le dernier album depuis, simple mais efficace.

Je trouve que c´est chouette s´ils peuvent financièrement se permettre de faire ce que bon leur semble mais je ne risque pas de poser dessus en tout cas.
