Merci. Pour le son "roots", je parlais surtout de la demo 3 titres qu'on a sorti en avril et qu'on avait enregistre nous même dans le local de repet. Pour l'EP, on a eu un vrai inge son pour mixer/masteriser, mais bon c'est pas du Andy Sneap non plus.

La prod est juste parfaite pour le style. J'attends mon CD, l'EP est franchement bonard, il tape pile dans ce que j'aime. Très prometteur !

Petit post d'auto-promotion. On joue au Black Heart a Camden ce soir avec Celestial Sanctuary, Slimelord, Mortuary Spawn....groupes excellents de death metal UK, si vous connaissez pas. Le concert complet sera dispo en streaming gratuit, si jamais quelqu'un n'a rien de prevu pour ce soir.

Oui l'album sortira en physique sur 3 labels differents: Me Saco Un Ojo (vinyle), Dark Descent Records (CD) et le collegue FHED en cassette.

Greeting you along with the equally gloomy cover-art is an array of spectral and atmospheric Death Metal that is haunting beyond the nightmarish depths of the human mind. Perhaps owing to their fixation on the human psyche, or the equally inescapable reality their music conjures with contorting riffs, rock-solid drumming and bellowed vocals, opening chasms of atmosphere to pour ones own psyche into. Perhaps one of the most unique things about Vacuous is their ability to play such bludgeoning, heavy music while retaining a very anguishing emotional side, lending massively to the cataclysmic ambiance of their debut LP. The outcome of this is music that is socially punishing, that will shred your from the inside of your own being while demolishing the corporeal body with massive and malevolent Death Metal excellence spanning the entire record. From eerily dragging moments of graven doom through to the churning malice of sickeningly twisted fury, there is nothing but charnel brilliance on display here in a truly diverse platter of hostilities.
While you could wrongfully assume that there is only simplicity to be found in this style of music, Vacuous have an utterly unique, warped way of writing their songs that is alike no other. From the gloomier moments to the gut-wrenching hooks, there is always something slightly off-kilter here that is disquieting and unfamiliar. This feverish and unwelcoming side of the music is hard to shake, which gives the album a genuinely disturbing factor while the absolutely ferocious Death Metal core is never lost, nor anything short of thrust upon you. It would be an easy trap to pin them into the “old school” micro genre, but this would be doing a disservice as although the real Death Metal spirit of old is here, Vacuous are simply not derivative enough of any specific sound to be pigeon-holed so easily. Listen for yourself and discover this nightmarish tome, but be warned… “Dream of Dysphoria” is a truly prophetic title, as this record might cause psychiatric harm, claustrophobia, sleep-paralysis and all manner of bodily harm.
C’est le genre de liste qui fait bien plaisir aux parents (ca change des fanzines death metal aux noms bien gores ). En tout cas, on est très content de la réponse à l’album.

C´est sur ma liste d´achats à effectuer mais pour le moment, y´a pô d´sous...
Je viens de l´acheter (enfin!) ce soir et je l´écoute en ce moment même. Je suis conquise au-delà de mes espérances

Merci Chanoir! ça me fait plaisir. On sera en tournee en septembre avec Chaotian et je sais qu'il y aura au moins 3/4 concerts en Allemagne (je n'ai pas encore les dates precises par contre), en esperant que ca passe vers chez toi!
Sinon, il y a un petit article paru dans Time Out recemment sur la scene death metal au Royaume Uni, avec notamment quelques unes de mes interventions:

ce serait vraiment cool de te rencontrer en effet (je vais me faire faire un t-shirt ChaNoir pour qu´on me reconnaisse ). En septembre il va falloir faire de durs choix -comme en ce moment aussi d´ailleurs- il semblerait que les tournées de petits et moyens groupes aient sciemment choisi d´éviter la période des gros festivals OA de sorte que notre année de concerts se concentre apparemment de mars à mai pour l´instant avec des choix douloureux à faire tandis que les annonces pour septembre sont déjà légion, notamment nos amis d´Adversor
