Enfin je dirais!
18 ans apres son dernier album solo (Trouble Walkin) et 10 ans apres son apparition sur le Psycho Circus de Kiss, le SpaceMan s'apprete à enregistrer un nouvel album (on annonce 10 titres)qui paraît-il renouerait avec le Kiss de la grande époque.
On parle également d'une tournée.

New York radio personality and VH1 Classic VJ/host Eddie Trunk has posted the following message in his blog:

"Stopped by and visited my old friend Ace Frehley last night [Thursday, May 24] at the [New York City] studio where he is now mixing his upcoming CD. Ace is doing so well, is totally healthy and just in a great place now. I am very proud of him. Ace has recorded 10 new songs so far and is completing three to use as a demo for now. I can tell you there is some strong label interest so he will no doubt have several options to release it. I heard two of the three new songs that are being finalized and I must say I was really impressed with them. It is classic-sounding Ace singing and playing. One track had a vocal from Ace that almost had a BEATLES-type vibe, but still rockin'. You will also be happy to know that Ace plays all guitar and sings all vocals. The recordings were made with a trio of Ace, Anton Fig on drums and new bassist Anthony Esposito (LYNCH MOB). The touring band will be Ace, Anthony and other players [to be announced]. Ace also told me he wrote all the songs just before going into the studio, so this is all fresh stuff. I'm really excited by the two songs I heard. It is by far the most 'KISS-like' music from any past or present member of the band's respective solo albums. We hung out for a couple hours, talked about the old days and had some Japanese food. Really fun night and was great to see him as always."

J'ai fait un tour chez mon vieil ami Ace Frehley la nuit dernière [jeudi 24 mai] au studio [à New York] dans lequel il est en train de mixer son nouveau CD. Ace va vraiment très bien, est en pleine forme et est à sa place désormais. Je suis très fier de lui. Je peux vous dire qu'il y a un fort intérêt de la part des labels et qu'il n'aura que l'embarras du choix pour le sortir. J'ai entendu deux des trois nouvelles chansons qui sont en train d'être finalisées et je dois dire qu'elles m'ont vraiment impressionné. C'est du Ace pur jus au niveau du chant et du jeu. Un morceau comporte un passage chanté par Ace qui le fait presque ressembler à du BEATLES, tout en restant bien rock. Vous serez aussi heureux d'apprendre que Ace s'occupe de toutes les guitares et chante toutes les chansons. Les enregistrements ont été réalisés par un trio comprenant Ace, Anton Fig à la batterie et le nouveau bassiste Anthony Esposito (LYNCH MOB). Le groupe de tournée comprendra Ace, Anthony et d'autres musiciens [qui seront annoncés ultérieurement]. [One for All" is scheduled for release on July 24 on Silvercat Records, distributed by Sony/RED. The CD will be distributed day-and-date to fans across the globe.

An autobiographical collection of songs that Criss produced and recorded over the course of two years, "One for All" also includes several cover tunes that reflect his outlook on life at this point in his long-standing career.

The lead vocalist and co-writer of what to this day remains KISS' biggest Billboard hit, "Beth", which also went on to win a People's Choice Award, Criss goes back to his songwriting roots with this new CD. Says Criss: "The most important thing is that my fans and other people will get a whole new outlook on me with this CD. I'm reinventing myself at my own pace, and for me, it's now, more than ever, about being true.”

"One for All" is the first fully self-produced CD that Criss has recorded — in addition to arranging and writing the lyrics and melodies for most of the material on the CD.

Joined by longtime friends and acclaimed musicians — Grammy award-winning bandleader Paul Shaffer and bassist Will Lee, as well as guitarist Mike McLaughlin — "One for All" is a variously styled project, profoundly rich in ballads that touches on all aspects of Criss' life, and draws on his love of rock and R&B. The title track, recorded with the Church of Transfiguration Boys Choir, was written in the wake of 9/11 and sets the tone for the CD. Other songs include: "Doesn't Get Better Than This", "Last Night", "Faces in the Crowd", "Heart Behind the Hands", "Send in The Clowns", and even a tribute song to his longtime bandmate and friend Ace Frehley, titled "Space Ace".

Original KISS guitarist Ace Frehley has set "Pain in the Neck" as the title of his new solo album, tentatively due in the spring.

"I was all ready and set up to track a record when I was offered the KISS reunion," Frehley told The Akron Beacon Journal. "I got back with KISS and that kind of derailed me from 1996 to 2001 and it took me a while to get my wits back.''

Frehley said he is still putting the finishing touches on "Pain in the Neck", including some scheduled six-string contributions from VELVET REVOLVER/ex-GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Slash.

Though most of the tunes were written in the past several years, Frehley also looked to his own past for guidance.

"I've been listening to my first solo album with KISS, because everybody says that's their favorite record. I was trying to figure out what made it so special, so I'm trying to incorporate a lot of what that record had for this new CD," he said.

"It has a lot of different aspects and shows different musical sides of me and it's something I'm trying to recapture. I don't know if I can do it but I'm gonna take a shot at it."

He added, "The record to me is secondary to the fact that I needed to come back and let everybody know I'm alive and well. Some of my old band mates kind of dragged my name through the mud a little, so I figured that it was time for me to re-emerge and let everybody know I'm not dead

Season of Mist annonce la signature du guitariste ACE FREHLEY de KISS qui sortira son prochain album solo le 15 septembre prochain. Le disque intitulé "Anomaly" sortira chez Bronx Born Records aux Etats Unis et chez Season of Mist pour l'Europe.

In the interview, Ace reminisces about his relationship with the late "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott (PANTERA, DAMAGEPLAN). "We all miss him a great deal," says Ace. "He never had a bad word to say about anybody… a sweetheart of a guy." Ace also discusses UFO activity in New York's Hudson Valley and tells "Talking Metal", "I see UFOs all the time."

Ace Frehley sort une autobiographie avec l'aide du journaliste qui a aussi aidé Mustaine pour ses memoires.


According to Amazon.com, original KISS guitarist Ace Frehley will release "No Regrets", a look back at his "life of sex, drugs, and rock-and-roll" on April 26, 2011 via Gallery Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster. Gallery plans to publish the title under the VH1 Books imprint.

"No Regrets" is being co-written by New York Times journalist Joe Layden who also authored "The Last Great Fight" about what is considered by many to be the biggest upset in the history of boxing: James "Buster" Douglas' tenth-round knockout win over Mike Tyson in 1990.

Layden recently worked on MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine's autobiography, "Mustaine: A Heavy Metal Memoir".

Jennifer Bergstrom, Vice President, Editor-in-Chief of Gallery Books, said "'No Regrets' is sure to be the next must-read rock-and-roll memoir."

Commented Frehley: "I think Sinatra said it best… 'Regrets I've had a few, but then again, too few to mention.'"


"It's gonna be memoirs, you know," he told the Artisan News Service.

"I just turned 59, [so] I think it's about time I start getting the stuff out and writing it down on paper before I forget it.

"It's hard for me to remember a lot of the stuff, so what I've been doing is getting together with people I used to work with, and they usually have better memories of situations than myself. Getting together with old bodyguards... They have the best stories about me... stuff I don't remember."

Ce cher Ace, j'ai toujours aimé ses soli vrillés, il était vraiment "hype", et lorsqu'il chantait dans KISS "Shock Me !" j'étais aux anges. Well, il a eu sa descente aux enfers, et je suppose que cette biographie sera surtout axée là-dessus. C'est sûr qu'il vaut mieux qu'il demande à ses proches de lui raconter "ses" souvenirs...

Son nouvel album arrive :

Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductee ACE FREHLEY will release Space Invader, his first new solo album in five years, via Entertainment One Music (eOne Music) on June 24th. The album will include at least nine brand new original songs as well as a cover of THE STEVE MILLER BAND’s 'The Joker'. This album is the first release under Frehley's new universal deal on eOne Music.

J'avais acheté Anomaly et il ne m'a pas laissé un souvenir impérissable. Je ne l'ai écouté que 2 ou 3 fois d'une oreille distraite en bagnole. Celui là sera forcément pire.
