GHOST SHIP OCTAVIUS is a new band featuring guitarists Christopher Amott (ARMAGEDDON, ex-ARCH ENEMY) and Matt Wicklund (GOD FORBID, ex-HIMSA, WARREL DANE) and drummer Van Williams (ASHES OF ARES, PURE SWEET HELL, ex-NEVERMORE).

After first joining forces in the summer of 2012, the members of GHOST SHIP OCTAVIUS have combined their diverse-yet-complementary music styles to create a powerful and dynamic sound highlighted by soaring vocals, viturosic guitars and hooky-but-progressive arrangements. Vocals are performed by 17-year-old Adon Fanion, whose style, character and lyrics extend far beyond his years.

GHOST SHIP OCTAVIUS is seeking a suitable record company to release the band's debut album, for which 13 songs have already been written, including "Released", "Alive", "Successor", "Find The Light" and "Caged Love".

Guitarist Christopher Amott (ARMAGEDDON, ex-ARCH ENEMY) is no longer involved with GHOST SHIP OCTAVIUS, the new band featuring Matt Wicklund (guitar; GOD FORBID, ex-HIMSA, WARREL DANE) and Van Williams (drums; ASHES OF ARES, PURE SWEET HELL, ex-NEVERMORE). Amott says: "I'm focusing entirely on a new ARMAGEDDON album. We are in rehearsals at the moment. There's a lot of news to be announced, new members and so forth. We have almost completed writing the album."

Ghost Ship Octavius - which features Matt Wicklund and Van Williams - has launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund the release of a new album.

"We will be using all money raised to pay for production costs including: Hiring Grammy Award Winning Producer Neil Kernon to Produce, Engineer, Mix and Master the album, Studio Time at one of Seattle's best Studios for Drum and Vocal Production (Guitars, Bass and Keyboards will be done at Matt's Home GSO Studios), Manufacture and Shipment of all Perks including the Digital Album, the Physical CDs, Limited Edition Vinyl Records, Limited Edition GLOW IN THE DARK Graphic T-Shirts, GSO Crew Stickers and Autographed Posters. Artistic Design and layout will be handled by Adon and Van.

"Any funds raised above our goal will go into making the perks even more exciting, adding new perks or into extra studio time to take the album production over the top! Jeff Loomis (NEVERMORE, CONQUERING DYSTOPIA), Per Nilsson (SCAR SYMMETRY), Mattias "IA" Eklundh (FREAK KITCHEN), Rusty Cooley (OUTWORLD, DAY OF RECKONING) and Chris Caffery (SAVATAGE, TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA) will contribute guest guitar solos to the upcoming debut album from GHOST SHIP OCTAVIUS, the new progressive metal band formed by lead guitarist Matt Wicklund (GOD FORBID, HIMSA, WARREL DANE), drummer Van Williams (NEVERMORE, ASHES OF ARES, PURE SWEET HELL) and vocalist Adōn Fanion.
