Hi Friends,
we are happy to present you the first bands for our fourteenth HAMMER OF DOOM Festival 2019
And already the first confirmation is a little sensation. For many people, this band is one of the forefathers of Epic Doom and their album “Will Of Gods Is A Great Power” is a milestone of the genre. We are so happy to announce, that SCALD from Russia will play their first show outside of Russia with the four surviving original members. As many of you know, legendary singer Agyl died 1997 in a tragic accident and so the band and us discussed deeply, who shall perform these hymns live at Hammer Of Doom. The obvious choice was Felipe from PROCESSION, who covered “Nightsky” in a close to perfect way and he is such a huge fan of the band that he agreed to do it. Dreams come true sometimes and we all look forward now to this exclusive premiere at HAMMER OF DOOM.
Also we were able to book essential German Doom band MIRROR OF DECEPTION, who released an amazing new album last year.
The online presale has already started and we will sell hard tickets at METAL ASSAULT Festival and we hope we can also present a headliner right before it.

Mmmm oui et non je dirais. Sur le principe on est en effet très loin du doom, mais il faut se rappeler que le Scorpions du début des 70's est quand même bien psyché, un genre désormais représenté régulièrement au festival. A mon avis c'est ça qui fait le lien, aussi ténu soit-il.
Par exemple COVEN l'an dernier n'était pas spécialement doom traditionnel non plus, hormis les textes.

oui, tu as raison et ce d´autant plus qu´il jouera aussi des morceaux de son groupe Electric Sun. Ce dernier point étant peut-être la seule chose à mes yeux un peu accrocheuse dans cette annonce. Parce que bon, Coven c´est pas doom mais cela avait au moins le panache d´une annonce hors du commun: c´est pas un groupe qu´on peut voir facilement à tous les coins de rue. Uli Jon Roth, si.
Enfin quoi qu´il en soit, attendons de voir la suite...

je continue de me parler à moi toute seule avec les nouvelles annonces, et malheureusement pas de Conan dans le lot:

Je continue d´être assez tiède pour y aller cette fois-ci. AK sont évidemment super mais ce n´est pas une rareté scénique cette année...Khemmis à eux tous seuls font une motivation assez pauvre...bof bof bof...
