Yeah, we heard rumors. We did the noble thing and kept things quiet! But we'll give our buds at Metal Sludge all the credit here:

"Call us creepy. Call us scums. Tell us we suck! But...fact is...Ratt is about to come Back For More and go Round n' Round! With all (surviving) original members. This means frontman Stephen Pearcy (vocals) and original bassist Juan Croucier will be joining Warren DeMartini (guitar) and Bobby Blotzer (drums).

Mark these words bitches! The band is slated to play a final show in Mexico with the current line-up this weekend. Inside sources are reporting John Corabi will likely stay in the group and play rhythm guitar."

Mouais ... et ça changera quoi, sûrement pas un succès consequent comme à la bonne époque (on a déjà eu l'exemple d'un Poison ou Cinderella).

Ratt c'était deux albums excellents de hard "Out In The Cellar" et "Invasion Of Your Privacy" voire "Dancing Undercover" , après toujours avec le même line up c'est parti en vrille ...

Donc le line up originel (sans Robbin Crosby ) je ne pense pas que ça changera la face du monde, tout au plus une reformation nostalgie.

hmmmmm...nous sommes quelques uns a avoir adoré cet album qui bénéficiait d'une prod' énorme et d'un songwriting excellent.

si cette reformation débouche sur un album de ce standing ,je suis preneur !

Ca changera pas la face du monde du rock, c'est certain, mais avec cette reformation ils pourront continuer à tourner, devant plus de monde, et "headliner" des tournées nostalgiques qui jouent devant des milliers de personnes partout aux Etats-Unis chaque été. Un bon moyen en somme de reculer encore leur inscription à l'ANPE américaine.

Et accessoirement ça fera plaisir aux fans, qui de toutes façons se foutent totalement des nouveaux albums de ce genre de groupes (regardez Poison qui remplit toujours des grosses salles mais dont le dernier album s'est vendu à quelques milliers d'exemplaires aux US)

Juan Croucier, il avait même été bassiste chez DOKKEN avant que Jeff Pilson n'arrive.
Franchement, RATT à nouveau sur scène (sans Crosby) et après toutes leurs années d'abus,....je me demande ce que ça pourrait donner.
Moi, je les croyait déjà finis quand ils ont sorti leur best-of dans les 90's.
Et puis toutes ces réunions de vieilles tatas décrépies, ça fait trop peine....

Moi, je ne me suis toujours pas remis de mon dernier concert de DOKKEN en DVD (et pourtant, qu'est-ce que j'aime ce groupe)......avec un Don Dokken tout gros et en mauvaise forme qui bouge comme une patate et puis le George Lynch, il a pas l'air bien motivé....seul Jeff Pilson sauvait la mise.

RATT and POISON will join forces for a summer trek starting June 13 at the Bi Lo Center in Greenville, S.C., and wrapping Aug. 19 at the Coors Amphitheatre in Denver.

The tour, which brings RATT and POISON onstage together for the first time since 1999, will visit amphitheaters, festivals and fairs in such cities as Boston, Detroit, New York, New Jersey and Los Angeles, said Troy Blakely, who books POISON with the Agency for the Performing Arts.

"Generally we're going to play 50-60 dates," Blakely told Billboard.com. "I'd say 30-35 are sheds. The rest are various festivals, fairs and indoor shows."

Reunited '80s hard rockers RATT will enter the studio soon to begin recording their first studio album since 1999's self-titled effort. Singer Stephen Pearcy says, "The new music will surely kick you in the ass! We plan on pulling out all the stops on this one; a lot of motion in this ocean."

Nouveau deal pour les tatas !


Reactivated '80s rockers RATT have inked a deal with Loud & Proud Records, a Roadrunner Records imprint focusing on established artists. The band's new album, rumored to be titled "Ratt Comes Back" (although this has not yet been confirmed by the band), will be released later this year.

According to a posting on RATT singer Stephen Pearcy's MySpace page, he and RATT guitarist and Warren DeMartini have started writing material for the new CD and expect to hit the studio soon.

RATT drummer Bobby Blotzer last summer confirmed that former QUIET RIOT guitarist Carlos Cavazo has joined the group as the replacement for rhythm guitarist John Corabi (former MÖTLEY CRÜE singer).

Carlos played his first show with the band in Baton Rouge, Lousiana on August 27, 2008.

Reactivated California rockers RATT have issued the following update:

"Warren De Martini and Carlos Cavazo are back in Virginia to complete guitar tracks and solos for the new RATT release. It's been 10 years since the last RATT studio album and the band is back to its original way and format of RATT music circa 1983-1985.

"Stephen [Pearcy] will start on lead vocals most likely after the RATT/EXTREME shows for the 12 songs recorded."

Commented Pearcy: "This music is exactly what's expected, and a whole lot more! This is RATT music at its best. The band writing together without any outside writers, (the best RATT songs came from the band members) and this time RATT music will do the talking. It kicks fuckin' ass!"

RATT's new CD is being produced by Michael "Elvis" Baskette, whose credits include PUDDLE OF MUDD, CHEVELLE, SALIVA, LIMP BIZKIT, ALTER BRIDGE and THREE DAYS GRACE, to name a few. The recordings are taking place in Mathews, Virginia — the first time the band has steped outside of Los Angeles to track a new CD in 20-plus years. A late 2009 release via Loud & Proud/Roadrunner Records is expected.
