Putain énorme, ça fait ma journée. :bave:

:croise:
Four-fifths of the original lineup of PSYCHOTIC WALTZ, the cult early 1990s progressive metal band from El Cajon, California, has reunited.

PSYCHOTIC WALTZ 2010 is :

* Devon Graves (a.k.a. Buddy Lackey) - Vocals
* Brian McAlpin - Guitar
* Steve Cox - Guitar
* Ward Evans - Bass
* Norman Leggio - Drums

Original guitarist Dan Rock is not taking part in the reunion and is being replaced by Steve Cox, who previously played with PSYCHOTIC WALTZ on the band's 1996 tour.

PSYCHOTIC WALTZ's last studio album, "Bleeding", was released in 1996. Scott Burns engineered the effort, which was mixed by Dan Rock and Woody Barber.

In the years that followed PSYCHOTIC WALTZ's demise, Rock recorded two instrumental albums with his project DARKSTAR. In the meantime, Norm Leggio and Steve Cox created the band TEABAG, while Buddy Lackey launched his own group, DEADSOUL TRIBE, where he performs using his real name, Devon Graves.

:lol:

Guitarist Dan Rock has rejoined PSYCHOTIC WALTZ, the reunited cult early 1990s progressive metal band from El Cajon, California. The group, whose lineup now includes all five original members, will embark on a European tour as the support act for NEVERMORE and SYMPHONY X in February/March 2011.

:bave:
Huge news from American progressive metal veterans Psychotic Waltz! The band hasn't released a new album since Dark Millenium in 1999 but they have been working on a new record for a while. Psychotic Waltz reunited in 2010 but haven't released anything in 17 years now. According to their latest album update, they have 8 new songs, about 46 minutes of music, and 2 or 3 more songs to write.

While you wait, you can always revisit their previous albums. Stay tuned for more news on the next one.

Ça avance :
Legendary U.S. progressive metal band PSYCHOTIC WALTZ has signed to InsideOutMusic for the worldwide release of its first new studio album in 23 years.

PSYCHOTIC WALTZ's fifth full-length disc will be recorded with engineer Ulrich Wild and will be mixed by Jens Bogren (OPETH, FATES WARNING, ARCH ENEMY). An early 2020 release is expected. Re-releases of the entire PSYCHOTIC WALTZ catalog will follow through InsideOutMusic as well.

The band comments: "We could not be happier about joining the InsideOutMusic roster!

"We are very excited to soon be sharing our upcoming fifth album with everyone, and it's also great that we will be able to make our back catalog available once again.

"Thanks to all of the patient fans and to everyone at InsideOut for believing in us and giving us the opportunity to do this right."

PSYCHOTIC WALTZ will next appear at both the U.S. and European editions of ProgPower festival and has also added a few special club shows in Germany with support from GHOST SHIP OCTAVIUS.

PSYCHOTIC WALTZ reunited with its original lineup in 2010, hitting the road in Europe alongside NEVERMORE and SYMPHONY X on "The Power Of Metal" tour. At the same time, Century Media Records reissued the band's four albums on vinyl individually, as well as the career-spanning six-LP box set "The Architects Arise: The First Ten Years", which featured the four albums plus some rare demo recordings.

Sortie pour le 14 février :amour: :love:

US Progressive Metal pioneers and innovators Psychotic Waltz OFFICIAL return in their full original line-up with their highly anticipated 5th studio album and first new music in 23 years. Entitled “The God-Shaped Void”, the upcoming new album and InsideOutMusic debut will be released on February 14th, 2020.

The basic tracks for “The God-Shaped Void” were recorded with engineer Ulrich Wild in the band’s hometown of San Diego, then the rest of the recordings at Studio D in Austria and finally the material was mixed/mastered by Jens Bogren (Opeth, Devin Townsend, Fates Warning) at Fascination Street Studios in Sweden. Artwork, as to be seen above, was created by longtime visual partner Travis Smith (Katatonia, Riverside, Nevermore).

PSYCHOTIC WALTZ guitarist Dan Rock checked in to comment about the creation and recording process of “The God-Shaped Void” as follows:
“First we’d like to thank all the fans who have supported us over the years. The new album would probably not exist if it were not for the good times and fan support we had on our reunion tours of Europe in 2011/2012. It really sunk in how cool I would be to make new music again, instead of just continually playing the first four albums. With all of us living further apart, especially Devon, it was a much slower process than having all five of us in the same room like we used to. But times change, and the Internet helped quite a bit. Normally, Brian and I would come up with guitar parts at home, whether alone or together. Sometimes we would program a basic drum beat for Norm to latch onto the vibe that we were feeling, and some of those stayed, while others were greatly improved upon by his far superior drum skills. We took our time (obviously) and went one song at a time and rehearsed it and recorded it in the jam room until we were musically happy with it. Then I would upload the individual tracks for Devon to download in his home studio so that he could remix it, and really see what each guy was doing. He was able to add vocals, make edits and rearrange parts that made for sense for him as a singer, and then send it back to us to review, retrack or punch in if needed… we did all of our pre-production mixes that way.”

“I think Devon did a really great job considering the process, but we all wanted to bring in a professional set of outside ears with more experience. We were fortunate enough to have Ulrich Wild come down to San Diego and do all the basic tracking in a little-known local studio called Rarefied. Even better, Jens Bogren had an opening in his schedule at Fascination Street Studios and was able to mix and master it for us. And none of this would have been possible if InsideOutMusic didn’t have the faith in us that they did to release a new record after such a long time. Many thanks go out to everybody who made it possible after all these years. We hope you find it worth the wait!”

A first single and the pre-order for “The God-Shaped Void” in its various formats (Ltd. and Standard CD, 2LP on 180gr. black vinyl as well as limited coloured editions and also Digital Download) will be available as of December 13th, 2019, so stay tuned for more news soon…
