Un des très très rares groupes des 80's qui a conservé son line-up d'origine.
La nouvelle chanson est cool et sans surprise dans la lignée assez heavy des derniers albums.

In celebration of their 35 years as a touring and recording act, multi-platinum band, Winger, announce today the release of Seven on May 5. The 12-track album, produced by Kip Winger and recorded in Nashville, will be distributed worldwide by Frontiers Records.

Seven, the band's first new release since 2014's Better Days Comin', is now available for pre-order on CD/LP/Digital here.

Additionally, the album's first single, "Proud Desperado," is now available for streaming/download on all digital music platforms and a music video can be seen below.

Winger are one of the only bands formed during the late '80s that still features all original members - Kip Winger, Reb Beach, Rod Morgenstein, and Paul Taylor. Guitarist John Roth was added in 1992.

To support the new album, Winger will begin extensive touring beginning with a UK tour with Steel Panther in May, followed by a US tour with the Tom Keifer Band in June. Additionally, the band will do a number of headline shows throughout the summer.

c'est cool qu'ils continuent avec cette formation. Le titre est sympa même si comme tu le dis, c'est plus heavy qu'à leurs débuts.
Cela passe bien mais j'aimerais entendre autre chose de leur part. Un touche plus old school. La grosse prod' n'aide pas non plus...

Leur évolution me fait penser à celle d'Europe, avec par exemple cette très chouette chanson :

La chanson est un peu trop longue mais le refrain est imparable

L'album est sympa, varié, pas au niveau de l'excellent Karma et un peu trop long, mais supérieur à celui de 2014 (vu qu'ils n'en sortent plus qu'un par décennie).
