Le groupe est bien décidé à sortir un nouvel album l'année prochaine et prévoit des concerts pour célébrer les 30 ans de "Soldiers of the Night" :
Geoff Thorpe from Vicious Rumors has checked in with the following update about the band working on a new album:

"Brothers and sisters, 2014 was a great year for VR! The ball just keeps rolling with our first tour of South America coming up this December! Another new frontier for Vicious Rumors.

"As you know, 2015 marks the 30 year anniversary of 'Soldiers of the Night!' Festivals and special sets are being planed as we speak...the best is yet to come!!! Don't forget, we're doing this for YOU, the fans, our loyal VRazors.

"VR is not a nostalgia act, never was. 11 studio albums, 4 live albums and the recent 4 albums in 4 years are a proof of that, right?!

"That's exactly the reason why the band is in full song writing mode for next years studio album!!! The best VR line-up in 20 years is a guarantee for killer heavy metal! The new studio album is going to be out in 2015!!!

"Yes, It's classic VR, heavy, melodic, guitar driven riff monster, with our double bass thunderbolt brutality! This is going to be our 12th studio album and it will be KILLER, believe me! Our last two albums were some of our most successful albums ever with major world tours and countless amazing concerts, festivals, ship cruises and more! Those albums proved to people that Vicious Rumors is, after 35 years of playing heavy metal, still a group at the cutting edge of metal!
VR are 100% committed to pushing forward! Metal on!"
R.I.P Ronnie James Dio ! :(

'tain le même discours pré-écrit qui ressort à chaque nouvel album. :D

Désormais j'attends (naïvement) qu'ils recrutent le fils de Carl Albert, et LA, je m'enthousiasmerai à nouveau.

Le nouveau disque sortira fin août :
VICIOUS RUMORS announce new studio album details and reveal the title of the first single/video!

Legendary San Francisco Bay Area metallers VICIOUS RUMORS have set "CONCUSSION PROTOCOL" as the title of their 12th studio album, due at the end of August via SPV/Steamhammer from Germany.

The album features 11 brand new songs and tells a chilling story of an Armageddon by a global killer asteroid and how humanity unravels in the wake of the news. It's the first concept album for the band. The album was produced by Geoff Thorpe and longtime co-producer and engineer Juan Urteaga at the world famous Trident studios in Pacheco, California (Machine Head, Testament, Heathen, Exodus,Ted Nugent,...). A video for the first single "TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT'' has been filmed a couple of months ago and is coming soon!

Guest solos by VR brothers from the band`s rich history, BRAD GILLIS (Night Ranger, Ozzy Osbourne) and STEVE SMYTH (One Machine, Nevermore, Testament, Forbidden, VR 1995-1999) only add to the madness! Tour plans are in the works and shall be revealed soon!

Geoff Thorpe states: "The album is relentless and crushing in true, classic VR style but with many twists and turns. Believe me, you're in for a treat, VRazors!!! If you've ever been a fan of VR, Sabbath, Priest or Maiden and a little bay area style thrash thrown in for good measure, then this album is definitely for you !!! Everything you love about VICIOUS RUMORS is present throughout the whole album!!! ''
R.I.P Ronnie James Dio ! :(

San Francisco Bay Area metallers VICIOUS RUMORS have welcomed back lead singer Brian Allen. Brian sang on the VICIOUS RUMORS albums "Razorback Killers" (2011), "Live You To Death" (2012) and "Electric Punishment" (2013) before leaving the band for family reasons.

VICIOUS RUMORS guitarist Geoff Thorpe says: "We're so excited to have Brian back! Life really does have a funny way of coming full circle."

Singer Nick Holleman, who sang on VICIOUS RUMORS' twelfth studio album, 2016's "Concussion Protocol", left the band to pursue other projects. Thorpe says: "With no bad feelings at all, we wish Nick all the best and thank him for four great years of recording and touring."

VICIOUS RUMORS has also introduced a new lead guitarist — Gunnar DüGrey from Portland, Oregon. Only 18 years old, Gunnar is a world-class guitar player along the lines of virtuosos like Jeff Loomis, Vinnie Moore, Mark McGee etc. Thorpe comments: "His style, feel and general playing ability is out of this world."

In the summer of 2017, VICIOUS RUMORS will perform an exclusive German open-air concert at the prestigious Bang Your Head!!! festival in Balingen as well as club shows. VICIOUS RUMORS returns to the legendary Dynamo Club in Eindhoven (The Netherlands), Zoom Nightclub inFrankfurt (Germany) with fellow bay area legends DEATH ANGEL. The band will also perform German headline shows in Munich at the Backstage and in Marburg. The only North American appearance is scheduled at Bossanova Ballroom in Portland on June 24. A full European headline tour is being booked by the EAM booking agency for November (exact dates and support bands will be announced in July), with much more to be announced soon.

VICIOUS RUMORS 2017 lineup:

Brian Allen - Vocals
Geoff Thorpe - Guitar
Gunnar Dügrey - Guitar
Tilen Hudrap - Bass
Larry Howe - Drums

Elle sera avec leur 48ème chanteur :hum:
Le nouveau s'appelle Nick Courtney.
San Francisco Bay Area metallers VICIOUS RUMORS have announced the addition of vocalist Nick Courtney to the group's ranks. Courtney joins the veteran band for the upcoming 46-date "Digital Dictator 30th-Anniversary Tour" of North America and Canada, which will take place from August 31 to October 20.

Due to the massive size of the U.S. tour, the band will bring the "Digital Dictator" trek to Europe in April 2019, where one show is confirmed already: April 13 in Mannheim, Germany at the Delta Metal Meeting.

Nick adds power, style and dedication back to the band. Guitarist Geoff Thorpe says: "Nick has a real kick-ass aproach! We're ready to tear it up on tour with his powerful and melodic voice."

At 30 years old, Nick comes from Vancouver, Washington, bringing a new fire and energy to the VICIOUS RUMORS camp. He was am "American Idol" contestant who stood his ground singing JUDAS PRIEST and IRON MAIDEN at his audition... one of the very few metal singers to ever make the second round on the show!

Former singer Brian Allen recomended Nick to the band as schedule and direction conflicts led to his departure.
