ALICE COOPER's "The Nightmare Returns" will get an official DVD release on Tuesday, August 1 via Geffen Records (August 28 in Europe). This concert was captured live on MTV on Halloween night, 1986 in front of a sold-out audience of 20,000 at Detroit's Joe Louis Arena. This highly theatrical concert tour was in support of ALICE COOPER's 1986 MCA release, "Constrictor", and was said to be one of ALICE's biggest and bloodiest shows. The lineup of Kane Roberts and Devlin 7 on guitars, Kip Winger on bass, Ken Mary on drums, and Paul "Horrorvitz" Taylor on keyboards, along with additional theatrical performers, created an all-new show that included elements of the past while embracing the newer more metallic sound.

The godfather of shock-rock Alice Cooper completed his 2009 "Theatre of Death World Tour" by filming the final show at London, England's legendary Hammersmith Apollo. The concert features many of Cooper's massive hits, including "School's Out", "I'm Eighteen" and "Poison".

Et comme d'hab' rien de la période Kane Roberts mais plus étonnant aucun morceau de "the last temptation" et surtout "hey stoopid" (je ne vois pas "feed my frankenstein") . J'ai peur que ce nouveau DVD n'apporte rien de neuf aux nombreux produits sortis avant

Moi aussi beaucoup étonné de ne pas voir de titres de cette période dont certains sont excellents. Mais sinon à part ça la set-list est pas mal du tout et couvre toute sa carrière.
Oui, dommage qu'il n'assume pas plus ses derniers albums qui renferment pourtant pas mal de perles.
PS: en fait c'est exactement la même set list qu'au Hellfest et à Wacken (sauf qu'il a joué moins longtemps).

Pas vu en magasin c'est vrai. Perso je l'ai commandé chez EMP, avec en bonus un magnifique mousqueton/porte-clé Alice Cooper!
Sur Nuclear Blast c'est avec un EP qui brille dans le noir qu'est vendu ce cd/dvd...
Le concert est sympa, bien qu'un peu court... Et il n'y a aucun bonus. Filmé en Décembre 2009 à l'Hammersmith-Londres, superbe salle. Bon son, bien filmé, bonne setlist, un bon témoignage de cette tournée encore en cours que j'ai pu voir au Hellfest et à Lokeren cet été!

Petite précision : le disque est déjà disponible via Concert Live, le collectif très pro' qui propose régulièrement les enregistrements de concerts à la sortie même de la salle (c'était eux également dans la tente voisine de la Prog Stage au High Voltage).
En l'occurrence, les triples live (le 3ème disque ne contient que le ou les rappels selon la date, je vois pas trop l'intérêt étant donné que l'intégralité totalise 1h45 en gros) pour ce concert à l'Alexandra Palace, celui au N.I.C. de Birmingham le 27 Octobre, et celui au Zénith de Lille le 3 Novembre étaient vendus aux étalages de la tournée, pour 20€00 si je me souviens bien.
Comme d'habitude avec eux, la qualité est très bonne (du moins pour l'enregistrement de Lille, et les rappels de celui de London).
Et la version de "Fire" du légendaire Crazy World of Arthur Brown vaut le détour !

Le concert du 9 Avril '79 donné à San Diego au cours de la tournée "Madhouse Rock" en promotion de l'album "From The Inside", jusqu'alors disponible uniquement en V.H.S., a désormais été ré-édité en D.V.D., l'objet est vendu $17.98.
Alice Cooper a écrit :The Strange Case Of Alice Cooper is more than a concert film. It is the warped tale of one man's descent into madness, a theatrical rock 'n' roll spectacle that could only emerge from the twisted imagination of Alice Cooper.
Filmed during a stop on the Madhouse Rock Tour in 1979, Strange Case was inspired by Alice's stay in a New York sanitarium and the people he encountered there. Vincent Price introduces the proceedings as ghoulish doctors and transvestite nurses cross paths with dancing bottles of alcohol. All the while, Alice performs songs off his album From The Inside, as well as many of his most well-known and best-loved hits.
This is the DVD debut of the extremely rare film, taped on April 9, 1979, in San Diego, California, long sought after by fans. Only previous home video release was a quickly deleted and now very pricey VHS.
The DVD also contains a brand-new commentary track by Alice Cooper.

Super Duper Alice Cooper, a documentary by Banger Films, will be coming to theatres on June 3rd.
Super Duper Alice Cooper is the twisted tale of a teenage Dr. Jekyll whose rock n roll Mr. Hyde almost kills him. It is the story of Vincent Furnier, preacher’s son, who struck fear into the hearts of parents as ALICE COOPER, the ultimate rock star of the bizarre. From the advent of Alice as frontman for a group of Phoenix freaks in the '60s, to the hazy decadence of celebrity in the '70s, to his triumphant comeback as '80s glam metal godfather, we will watch as Alice and Vincent battle for each other’s’ souls. The film is the first ever ‘doc opera’ – a dizzying blend of documentary archive footage, animation and rock opera that will cement forever the legend of Alice Cooper.
Super Duper Alice Cooper is produced by Sam Dunn, known for his documentaries Metal: A Headbanger’s Journey, IRON MAIDEN: Flight 666, RUSH: Beyond The Lighted Stage and Metal Evolution, and also Scot McFadyen. Dunn and McFadyen also directed Super Duper Alice Cooper along with Reginald Harkea. Super Duper Alice Cooper will run for 97 minutes in length.

According to Ultimate Classic Rock, the surviving members of the ALICE COOPER group reunited in Texas earlier this week for the first time since their Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction in 2011. Bassist Dennis Dunaway was at Good Records in Dallas for an October 6 book signing event celebrating his new memoir, "Snakes! Guillotines! Electric Chairs!: My Adventures In The Alice Cooper Group". Guitarist Michael Bruce and drummer Neal Smith were already scheduled to join him, and then Alice Cooper himself arrived in town a day before he was set to play a gig with MÖTLEY CRÜE. A rare 8-song set followed. Ryan Roxie, who's worked with Cooper's solo band, sat in for the late ALICE COOPER group guitarist Glen Buxton.
