Je n'ai que le 1er album de ce groupe, du heavy classique pour l'époque, mais très efficace, j'ai une certaine affection pour cet album. Je connais rien du reste de leur carrière, ça vaut le coup?

voici ce que je viens de recevoir de la part du bassiste, visiblement très remonté contre l' ex chanteur Russ North!

C'est fort dommage de mettre sur un forum public un message à caractère privé (mais tu as peut-être son autorisation).

Vu la teneur du message; qu'y a-t-il de "compromettant"? Tu enlèves mon nom à la limite et le message n'est plus privé! C'est un message standard envoyé à tous les gars qui ont précommandé le EP; rien de plus. Une explication sur le retard pris, le comportement du chanteur... Et ça, ça concerne tous, tous les amateurs du groupe... Donc non je n'ai pas d' "autorisation" de copier/coller ce mail ici mais je suppose que son auteur ne m'en tient pas rigueur.
Par ailleurs, sur le site officiel du groupe, ce message est quasi publié dans son intégralité...

Y'a pas de mal!

C'est début Avril que les commandes devraient être livrées... Ils n'auront pas trainé tant que ça finalement pour réenregistrer les parties de chant.

Gros changements de line-up puisque les guitaristes et le batteur sont virés par le bassiste qui a repris Russ North (chant) temporairement. Beau bordel.

NWOBHM legends CLOVEN HOOF have issued the following update:

"Ben Read (lead guitar), Mick Powell (rhythm guitar) and Jon Brown (drums) no longer members of Cloven Hoof.

Ben Read and Mick Powell have walked out on the band with only 5 weeks to go before 2 prestigious gigs in Finland and Germany. They are letting down the fans, the promoters and the good name of Cloven Hoof.

It had been noticed for some time that their stage presence was nil and their musicianship was deteriorating by the day.

In order not to let the fans down they were still kept on board until the 2 dates had been honoured. As their sacking was inevitable, Mr Powell and Mr Read decided to do the maximum amount of damage possible and leave the band high and dry.

As a direct consequence of Ben and Mick's action, Cloven Hoof have taken the decision to dispense with the services of Jon Brown.

Lee Payne (bass) and stand-in vocalist Russ North are currently in negotiation with the promoters to see if they can still make an appearance at the 2 festivals out of loyalty to the fans.

Cloven Hoof have vowed to return stronger than ever with dedicated band members fit to be in the band."

Je pense que c'est officiel... je l'ai vu dans un bac au Swordbrothers et comme un benet je ne l'ai pas pris car j'espérais le trouver en CD.....

Great to hear from you and hope you are keeping well.

Thanks for bringing to our attention that there is Cloven Hoof Live at Headbangers Open Air , we weren't aware of any such release!

If you could find out more details on this we would be really grateful as the band was not aware that would be any release from this festival.

I am please to tell you that Cloven Hoof will be re-releasing Dominator with 4 bonus tracks later in the year and they will follow it by re-releasing A Sultans Ransom later in the year also with bonus tracks.

Lee and Russ are currently in the studio working on mastering a live album, taking from the bands European shows. They tell me it is sounding great!

They will be performing some live gigs next year and I will let you know as soon as they have been confirmed.

L'imitation de Mustaine fallait oser.
Non mais d'une manière générale quelle régression vocale! L'évolution ça peut avoir du bon, mais là ils n'en ont visiblement pas les moyens. Même le son est pourri.

Vocalist Russ North has rejoined the legendary NWOBHM act CLOVEN HOOF.

Commented Russ: "The fans and musicians in the group deserve nothing less than 100 percent commitment, and until I could give that, I had to take time out away from music. It was imperative that the band had to tick over until I could sort private matters out that made it at the time impossible to front CLOVEN HOOF. Lee [Payne, bass] was a really good friend whilst I was going through a difficult situation and gave me his full support as ever. He gave me space and time in the knowledge that I would return better than ever.

"I am now delighted to say that I am in it for the long haul and firing on all cylinders. Lee and I have promised each other another 10 years of making metal mayhem together.

"I would like to thank Ash Cooper for doing a terrific job on the vocals whilst I was away. He is a true professional and the band wish him well in all his future projects.
