Il semblerait que des ajustements sur la box ont été fait suite aux plaintes de Tom, qui approuve à présent le produit qui sera proposé:

Triptykon and Century Media Records/Prowling Death Records are proud to announce a special limited edition box set of the band's second album, Melana Chasmata, containing the album's main Mediabook CD edition as well as a selection of unique Triptykon paraphernalia. The Melana Chasmata Mediabook features a 32-page booklet and an additional 12-panel fold-out cross-booklet; the paraphernalia comprises a silver Triptykon-"T" necklace, 2 specially manufactured Triptykon candles, a Triptykon tote bag, a poster, and 3 postcards.

The box set will be limited to 2000 copies worldwide.

Tom Gabriel Warrior: "Some time ago, I voiced my personal disapproval regarding the original concept for the planned Triptykon Melana Chasmata box set as scheduled for release by our licensing partner, Century Media Records.

It is to Century Media Records' credit that they listened and subsequently approached me to address my misgivings and create a box set that represents the group's ideas and intentions far more comprehensively. I am grateful for such an open and creative collaboration, and I deeply respect Century Media Records for sparing neither effort nor expenditure to please Triptykon and the band's audience.

I wish record labels would have acted like this in the 1980s."

L'album a été classé second meilleur album Metal de l'année par Rolling Stone mag, juste en dessous de celui de YOB.

C'est mes deux favoris aussi cette année (enfin le Triptykon en tête par contre), pour une fois qu'ils disent pas de la merde.... enfin pour le dessus du panier quoi, ce qui vient après est pour la plupart de la grosse daube bien puante.

Interview bizarre où il parle de sa mauvaise expérience des festivals... suédois.

Speaking about how TRIPTYKON's dark and doomy music fits the "party vibe" of a festival atmosphere, Fischer said: "There's been occasions when the crowd at a festival was really in a party mood and we were probably a mismatched act on stage. That's happened, and that's fine. It's only natural. Our music is not really party music, is it? It's at times very melancholic, very gloomy, very dark. And that's the way it is; that's who we are, and we won't change. One hopes that the people who book the festivals take this into consideration when they approach the bands. Most of the times, it works perfectly — astonishingly good. At times, there's even such a connection between the crowd and us that it becomes almost like a mass, and I love that. But it's different from festival to festival, and also depending on the time when you're on the bill. We're lucky that we're [on stage] usually rather late. But, you know, it can be a touchy thing, yeah."

Asked if there has ever been a time when TRIPTYKON was received so poorly by a festival audience that he was on stage wondering what he was doing there, Fischer said: "It's happened in Sweden twice, yeah, which has made us very reluctant to accept another festival in Sweden. Because, for some reason, I guess the Swedish festival audience are not really prepared for TRIPTYKON, which is fine. I mean, it's their right; they can do whatever they damn well want. But in Sweden, yes, that's happened twice. In other countries, it's been exactly the opposite. I don't know why. I'm the last person to find an explanation for that… I guess there's not enough of an ABBA vibe in our music. Or maybe we should wear masks. Ah, no, that's not us."

Requiem (46:00 min.) is composed of three chapters:

- “Rex Irae” (06:34 min.) (First appeared on 1987’s “nto The Pandemonium album by Celtic Frost)
- “Grave Eternal” (32:28 min.) (Newly written middle part)
- “Winter” (06:54 min.) (First appeared on 2006’s Monotheist album by Celtic Frost)

Swiss avant-garde extreme metal act, Triptykon, have announced the release of their Requiem opus, on May 15 via Prowling Death Records / Century Media Records worldwide.

Requiem (Live At Roadburn 2019) marks the bombastic conclusion of a project over 30 years in the making: The legendary Celtic Frost/Triptykon Requiem performed for the first time in its entirety and with full classical orchestration by the Dutch Metropole Orkest.

Tom Gabriel Warrior: “We are truly, deeply delighted to be able to have been granted the opportunity to finish this unique project begun by Celtic Frost so many years ago, and to finally share the completed recording with the world. This album is the result of two years of passionate work, and it marks the conclusion of a musical idea first considered over three decades ago. Moreover, this "Requiem" also represents drummer Hannes Grossmann's first recording with Triptykon, and we are very proud to feature him in such an extraordinary context.

"It was an incredible honour to collaborate with the Metropole Orkest, conductor Jukka Iisakkila, guest vocalist Safa Heraghi, and the esteemed Roadburn festival. In fact, there couldn't have been a better partner for the Requiem project than Roadburn.

"We are releasing this Requiem album in memoriam of our deeply missed friends and collaborators Martin Eric Ain and HR Giger.”

Pas encore pris le temps de l'ecouter mais ca a l'air assez chiant d'apres les extraits et les retours que j'ai eu. A voir quand même. Les lives au Roadburn ont toujours un son excellent donc c'est déjà ca de pris.
