J'ai écouté l'extrait sans trop savoir à quoi m'attendre connaissant très mal le groupe, mais c'est pas vraiment du pagan au final ?

Plus une sorte de metal symphonique un peu extrême et folk ? En tout cas, j'ai trouvé ça un peu kitsch comme titre...

Le comble du kitsch avec Equilibrium c'est quand ils sortent le clavier de la pub Jacques Vabre :



Equilibrium c'est un peu le Finntroll du pauvre version germanique. Je trouve ça plutôt divertissant.

Moi je trouve que c'est plutôt une version germanique améliorée de Finntroll, qui tourne vraiment trop en rond à mon avis Mais plus kitsch, c'est sûr, et c'est divertissant quoi qu'il en soit

Ils ont recruté un nouveau guitariste :

German epic metal outfit Equilibrium have introduced a new lead guitarist. Dom R. Crey steps in to replace the recently departed guitarist Andreas Völkl.

The band states: “After the departure of Sandra and Andi we have started to look for musicians, to start the next chapter with us and also the upcoming concerts. At this point we want to thank everyone, for sending us applications - some of them were really good. As of today we can announce that Dom (Dom R. Crey), also known through Nothgard and Wolfchant, will be joining in on guitars from now on. We are absolutely proud that we have won our, partly long-term, friend as the latest member of the family! We are totally looking forward to the future with him as part of Equilibrium!”

Dom adds: "I am looking forward to the upcoming concerts and the next time, but also to listen to the new masterpiece of the Equi-guys. René has overdone himself with it, in my own opinion, which makes me even more euphoric towards the next gigs. This new and for some rather unusual constellation has no effect on my other bands. I am looking forward to hav all the fun in the world with Equilibrium, that have been friends of mine for a while now and also to share this fun with you, dear Equi-Fans."

C'est tant à la mode dans les groupes pagan de recrutés UNE membre...cela dit EQUILIBRIUM est actuellement avec un ARKONA le groupe qui me file le plus grand sourire en live dans cette scène (avec MOONSORROW qu'on voit trop peu malheureusement).

Here is some epic folk metal for you courtesy of Equilibrium. The German band will unleash Armageddon upon us this summer, their fifth studio album. Guitarist, composer and lyricist René Berthiaume spent almost two years working on this new opus and the result is rather dark, according to the label. But you can be the judge of that. Today, the band has released the lyric video of the brand new track "Prey" via YouTube. Check it out here.

"Prey" will be available as a digital single on July 1st, 2016. Armageddon will be released on August 12th, 2016 via Nuclear Blast Records. This time, the album was recorded, mixed and produced by René himself and was mastered by Maor Appelbaum (Los Angeles). The cover artwork was again created by Skadi Rosehurst.

Sympa ce titre. J'aurais juste aimé un ensemble synthés / grattes un poil plus équilibré en faveur de ces dernières, à certains moments c'est du 50/50, je préférerais du 40/60.
Et effectivement je vois pas trop de pagan là - dedans, plus du mélodique/folk comme le disait Mr Sandman plus haut.
Quant au kitsch est - ce que ça l'est plus qu'Amon Amarth si on va par là ?
