Lillian Axe - Sad Day On Planet Earth

Les ricains ont signé un nouveau contrat pour sortir cet album.

New Orleans, Louisiana-based rockers LILLIAN AXE have inked a four-album worldwide deal with the Swedish label Blistering Records.

Blistering's U.S. office is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and the label is distributed domestically by Ryko.

Commented the band: "While searching for a new label over the past year, LILLIAN AXE was looking for a label who wanted the band to be part of their present and future. Blistering Records proved to be the most aggressive suitors for LILLIAN AXE and that made our decision that much easier to make. Blistering Records wanted LILLIAN AXE and LILLIAN AXE wanted to be part of Blistering Records."

LILLIAN AXE's new CD, entitled "Sad Day On Planet Earth", is described in a press release as "by far [the band's] strongest album, musically speaking. There are so many different-sounding songs that all forms of radio: Active Rock, Mainstream Rock and Metal radio will embrace this album."

"Sad Day On Planet Earth" will contain 14 songs written by guitarist Steve Blaze.

The track listing is as follows:

01. Megaslowfade
02. Ignite
03. Divine
04. Down Below The Ocean
05. Jesus Wept
06. Within Your Reach
07. Sad Day On Planet Earth
08. Fire Blood The Earth & Sea
09. The Grand Scale Of Finality
10. Cold Day In Hell
11. Blood Raining Down On Her Wings
12. Hibernate
13. Kill Me Again
14. Nocturnal Symphony

All the album artwork is being created by Peter Tsakiris, who is a major force in the industry, having created album art for DIO, TWISTED SISTER, DEEP PURPLE, TED NUGENT, OVERKILL, JACKYL and WARRIOR SOUL, to name a few.

LILLIAN AXE will embark on a world tour in June in support of "Sad Day On Planet Earth", taking the band across the United States, Canada, Europe and Japan.

LILLIAN AXE is:

Derrick Lefevre - Vocals
Steve Blaze - Guitar/Vocals
Sam Poitevent - Guitar/Vocals
Eric Morris - Bass
Ken Koudelka - Drums

LILLIAN AXE is celebrating its new double live acoustic release, One Night In The Temple, by premiering the entire movie at Paragon Casino Resort on Saturday, April 26th at 11 p.m. on all three of the Paragon Cinema’s state of the art movie screens simultaneously.

One Night In The Temple was produced by Steve Blaze, and will be released on April 15th via CME Records/Sony Music (RED) in North America, and via Melodic Rock Records/Cargo Distribution for the world.

Performed acoustically in an intimate setting housed in a Masonic Temple in the Bayou, with their most diehard fans, One Night In The Temple, features all their hits including 'True Believer', 'Show A Little Love', 'Crucified', 'Misery Loves Company', 'Ghost Of Winter', 'The Great Divide', 'Bow Your Head', 'Waters Rising' and the crowd favorite 'Nobody Knows'.

Lillian Axe founder Steve Blaze reflects: "When I first had the idea of putting this show together, it was originally going to be a private 20 person show with acoustic guitars, vocals and no production, however, it took on a life of its own."

One Night In The Temple will be released as three-disc set (2CDs/1DVD and 2CDs/1Blu-Ray), housed in an elaborate digipack. Filmed in high definition, the Blu-Ray and DVD will contain the acoustic performance, fan question and answer session, videos for the songs Caged In and Death Comes Tomorrow, live concert footage from their July 4th, 2013 performance at the Paragon Casino and behind the scenes footage.

10 ans plus tard, c'est reparti. Extrait très sympa, gros travail de composition en tout cas.
Louisiana Music Hall Of Fame inductees Lillian Axe have been releasing top quality hard rock albums since bursting onto the scene back in 1988 with their debut album on MCA Records.

2022 sees the band back in top form, with a recent anthology release. Psalms For Eternity, live festival dates Stateside, along with an upcoming UK headlining tour, Lillian Axe are in for one of their biggest years in some time.

Their new album, From Womb To Tomb, released August 19th on Global Rock Records, is sure to please both long-time fans and newcomers with its superb songcraft and first-rate musicianship.

Guitarist and songwriter Steve Blaze commented: "I believe the basic idea behind the creation of From Womb To Tomb has been in my head for many years. The time just needed to be right to express it. This album is a different type of concept record, whereas it does not contain a story-based theme. Rather, it is a timeline from the birth of a child to the ascension of the soul, with each song emphasizing a specific time of one's life and the lessons learned therein."

"These observations are based on my life and the witnessing of the growth and development of the human condition through my eyes. The wonderful part is that these life experiences seem to exist in each and every one of us, even though the paths and events may greatly differ. This is the most emotional and powerful music I have ever written, and by the reactions of the few people close to me who I have played it for, it will hit a deep and resounding chord with all those who hear it."

"I ask one thing: listen from the start to finish in solitude, with no distractions, as if you are reading a book or watching a movie. It is not a collection of 16 individual, nonrelated pieces. But instead, it is a complete work of highs and lows, colors and shades, and emotional fluctuations. It will take you through the light of our greatness and the darkness of our failures. The band performed with beautiful power and grace, and I feel it is our best achievement to date."
