Le groupe vient de quitter Transmission Records. Du coup, leur désormais ex-label va sortir une compilation
AFTER FOREVER's former record label, Transmission Records, has announced plans to release a compilation album containing the best songs from the band's first ten years of existence and four "entirely new tracks." The company's official press release regarding the matter reads as follows:
"After working together for six years the Dutch metal band AFTER FOREVER and the record company Transmission Records will end their cooperation. Although this was officially planned in September Transmission Records has decided to accelerate the end of the cooperation to as early as 6th June.
"Transmission Records will be the first to introduce a new innovating business model. With this business model Transmission Records will aim to make the band part-owner of the company and create a fair-deal situation. While Transmission Records is bringing their company to a new level, AFTER FOREVER prefers to keep working with the normal business models.
"In respect to AFTER FOREVER's opinion, Transmission Records has accelerated the end of the cooperation to give AFTER FOREVER more time and space to search for a new record label. Also Transmission Records would like to emphasize that the cooperation was more than pleasant and that it wishes AFTER FOREVER the best of luck with finding a new record label.
"During the six years of cooperation, Transmission Records has released four albums and one mini-album by AFTER FOREVER. Amongst these albums are the debut album 'Prison of Desire' and last year released 'Remagine'. Next to these albums AFTER FOREVER has done several tours around the world and even performed at [the] Pinkpop [festival].
"Today AFTER FOREVER has existed for ten years already. In relation to this ten year anniversary, Transmission Records will release a compilation album with the best songs of ten years AFTER FOREVER and four entirely new tracks."

AFTER FOREVER's former record label, Transmission Records, has announced plans to release a two-disc compilation album containing the best songs from the band's first ten years of existence, plus previously unreleased material, non-album tracks, alternate takes, rarities and previously unreleased remixed versions. Included you will find collaborations with such guest musicians as Sharon den Adel (WITHIN TEMPTATION), Arjen Lucassen and Damian Wilson (AYREON) and Marco Hietala (NIGHTWISH).
Entitled "Mea Culpa", the double-album has been divided into two chapters. The first chapter covers the period with guitarist/composer/lyricist Mark Jansen (now in EPICA), while Chapter 2 contains songs which the group recorded after Jansen's departure; a period during which AFTER FOREVER masterfully spread their wings and proved themselves to be one of the most interesting and powerful female-fronted metal bands in the world.
AFTER FOREVER's fourth full-length album, "Remagine", was released last
year on Transmission. The follow-up to 2004's "Invisible Circles" was
recorded at Excess studio in Rotterdam, Holland and was mixed by Sascha
Paeth and Philip Colodetti at the Gate studio in Wolfsburg, Germany.

There have been a lot of rumours already, now it's finally official: Another superb band has found its way to the realms of Nuclear Blast – AFTER FOREVER! The dutch act around front amazon Floor Jansen (also known from various guest appearances for projects of Arjen Lucassen / AYREON) is specialized in thrilling Melodic / Gothic Metal and ranks among the "big ones" of the scene in their home country. The band already toured with NIGHTWISH and WITHIN TEMPTATION and had appearances at EVERY important festival BeNeLux-wide (such as Lowlands, Pinkpop, Graspop, Dynamo Open Air, Fields Of Rock), not to forget a steadily growing fan base in South America, France, Spain and Germany!
Guitarist Sander Gommans about the signing: "AFTER FOREVER has grown a lot the past years, we´ve done more and more shows and festivals worldwide and also experienced a lot of improvement musically. I feel that AFTER FOREVER is stronger than ever, as a group but also musically, this is the right time to choose for a label that can help us realising our dreams! Because the core of the AFTER FOREVER songs is metal orientated, it´s a very natural decision for us to choose for Nuclear Blast!"
AFTER FOREVER have almost finished the recordings for their new, yet untitled album, which is going to be released in Spring 2007. Produced by Gordon Groothedde (Dutch studio luminary), the record not only contains great new songs but also an overwhelming session with the Prague Symphonic Orchestra! A tour afterwards is already planned as well…
