Tu m'étonnes ! enfin c'est surtout en live que ça doit poser un problème, parce qu'en studio y'a des techniques pour plus trop se fatiguer... enfin le jour ou elle arretera ils pourrons rappeler Livia qui est un excellent chanteur de death...

Q: Let us [bring up] a subject which astonished many people: Your departure from ARCH ENEMY. Could you explain us what justified your choice?

Christopher: "I wasn't feeling creative musically. I wasn't having fun anymore. ARCH ENEMY is a hard-working band and touring is great. But if you're not enjoying the shows it's no fun. I just wasn't into it anymore."

Q: Do you regret your decision?

Christopher: "No!"

Q: When you're looking at the past, what do you think about "Doomsday Machine"?

Christopher: "I haven't listened to it that much. It's a solid metal album with good songs and good production. I think ARCH ENEMY is one of the top 5 metalbands in the world and I'm proud to have been a part of this band. Everyone in the band is an amazing player and performer and Angela [Gossow] is fantastic growler and born to front a band.

"I drifted away from this kind of music, and I think it's better for everyone that I do my own thing."

Q: The day you send message to Mike [Amott] [that you were quitting] the band it [was] maybe a hard day for you. Do you speak with the band or just Mike? Which was the reaction of your brother Mike and the band?

Christopher: "It was a hard time, I felt like I was letting them down a bit and leaving them without a guitar player just before the Ozzfest. They were surprised but not entirely. Life goes on, we are still friends but we don't see each other that often. Everybody's busy with their own lifes."

Q: Which are your projects for the future?

Christopher: "I don't know. Playing in a band and being a rockstar is pretty far down on my list right now...I just want to develop as a musician and a person. Maybe I'll never do another album, I can't say right now. I'd love to do a solo album just the way I want it, mixing all kinds of styles and influences but I'm not hell-bent on succeding in the musicbusiness — I've seen how much work it takes and how most people in the business are sharks who wanna rip you off. I'm not very business-minded that way.

"If i do some kind of record it won't be metal anyway. I don't care if it sells....I know I will be starting from zero doing another style of music but it will be much more satisfying musically.

"If a make an album completely free artistically, just the way I want it and it only sells 500 copies, it don't matter, because I would be doing it for myself."

En résumé, il aimerait bien sortir un album solo, mais qui soit pas en rapport avec le metal. Et pourquoi pas!

C'est dommage, c'est l'une des rares chansons de l'album que j'apprécie le moins, à part le passage tranquille au milieu.

6 mois après : bah en fait il est bien terrible cet album

Je me le passe encore régulièrement dans les esgourdes alors que les autres albums de Arch Enemy, même si j'ai toujours accroché dès la première écoute, j'avais tendance à les laisser de côté relativement rapidement.

Sinon my apocalypse moi j'aime bien! Je trouve qu'elle s'enchaine bien avec le titre précédent, c'est une sorte d'acalmie avec ce côté un peu malsain dans le son

oauis les clips de Arch Enemy sont un peu tous les même avec le groupe filmé en train de jouer. Par contre la photographie est toujours pas mal.

tous les albmus de arch enemy(ainsi que sentenced, iced earth, nocturnal rites, children of bodom, lacuna coil ,slipknot, et NEVERMORE, aerosmith, etc...)) sont à 9 euros en ce moment dans les fnacs et chez gilbert!

Ajouter à cela tous les SYL, dream evil, le dernier the haunted, NIN, le dernier Soulfly, les Dark Tranquility après "haven" compris....

a propos des albums à 9€ je suis pas certain que ça soit sur TOUS les albums des groupes que tu cites metal militia ^^

Je suis allé faire un tour à la FNAC et les promos sont sur des albums tres ciblés (pour arch enemy j'ai trouvé que "doomsday machine" en promo, pour children y'avait que "Are you dead yet", donc les derniers. ^^ (idem pour nocturnal rites, j'ai trouvé que "Grand Illusion")).

En fait, ça dépend des endroits! J'a itrouvé des cd à 9€ dans une fnac, alors que dans une autre il était encore au prix fort! J'ai ainsi eu le bonheur de pouvoir acheté le live d'Iced Earth qui me rebutait de par son prix pour 8€99

Christopher Amott est officiellement de retour dans le groupe :

Swedish/German extreme metallers ARCH ENEMY have announced that original guitarist Christopher Amott is rejoining the band with immediate effect. The group, having finished an intense 18-month touring cycle all over the world promoting the "Doomsday Machine" album and "Live Apocalypse" DVD, is currently busy working on songs for their new studio album.

Christopher surprised many by departing ARCH ENEMY at the end of the "Doomsday Machine" recording sessions in 2005, having been in the band for 10 years (starting with ARCH ENEMY at age 18). Christopher followed his urge to see the outside world and find what else is out there apart from music. Having done that, the time is right for him to return to the fold with a newly injected bite and focus and to resume his career.

Commenting on the re-grouping announcement he states: "This is very exciting for me, returning to ARCH ENEMY as a full-time member! Right now we are working on our forthcoming album and I'm very pleased about the way it's turning out. The new songs are fast and furious with lots of melody! To all the people who sent me kind messages while I was out of the band, thank you for your support, it helped me a lot. After this (much needed) two-year break, I'm looking forward to getting back on the road. I hope to see you all later this year!"

ARCH ENEMY mastermind Michael Amott complements his younger brother Christopher perfectly in style and chemistry and together they have become one of the most infamous and ripping guitar teams in extreme metal.

Comments Michael: "So, we are back with my brother Christopher on guitar — it's a huge rush to have him back playing in his signature style! He's jumped in at the end of the songwriting process for the new album and added some of his unique spice! I feel Christopher's playing has matured and is more precise and even faster than before! Guitar fans are going to freak on the stuff we are getting up to on the new album!"

The last two years have been the busiest and most successful touring campaign of ARCH ENEMY's entire career, so the many fans both old and especially new can now look forward to witnessing Christopher's return to the stages of the world.

En plus je crois qu'AE prépare déjà le prochain album et qu'ils avaient 6/7 titres mais je sais plus j'ai vu sa quand ! Sa date un peu
