It's been quite a while since we updated this website. As you probably know, Powervice started recording a full-length album last winter. During those recording sessions we ran into some major problems in the studio. As a result we have a record with no vocals and the band got disbanded. Some say we collapsed due to high expectations and the pressure that comes along with recording a dubut record while your band is buzzing around the underground scene. Well, this might be true, we probably worked a bit too hard and didn't have the luck to complete the whole thing before we were about to take our spring break earlier this year. As I stated earlier on this website, we weren't expecting any positive news on this situation and at that point we forced disband the group. To my suprise, things cleared up alot earlier than I expected and during the summer, most of us were back on speaking terms. Soon we started to get things organised again. But unfortunately, one thing has to be accepted. And that is that Rogier Stockbroeks will no longer be part of the band. He is now playing with another band from the Netherlands called Engine of Pain and we wish him all the best in the future!
This brings us to the next step. How to find ourselves a new singer. As we talked to numorous singers over the last few months we decided to start looking for a new singer through open auditions. So we are looking for a guy who is willing to join our band for recording and touring and be a part of our future. This means NO SESION SINGERS, unless your name is Ronnie James Dio or alike....
Powervice is know in the scene for their hard work and dedication to it's band and music, and we want to be back with a bang! If you think you are our new "David Coverdale" and you can imagine yourself rocking out in our myspace picture section, please get in touch with us through info@powervice.com
ue to me getting sick of listening to crap singers in dito bands please read this:
We're looking for a singer with a wide vocal range. Must also have a good stage presence. We are not looking for a clone of the old singer, nor are we looking for a clone of any other singer. So before you mail me the phone number of your "manager" and send me mails with links to your crap bands ask yourself if you can actually do this. That means listen! Then look at the picture section and wonder if you'd fit in with your kaki-pants and your haircut that certainly wouldn't pass the Metal Inquisition! Therefore: we sentence you to death... by guillotine!
So far, I'm shocked by the state heavy metal is in!
Yours truly,
Richard
I'm the lost one chasing colors to the sun
Colors bleed but never fade
