Tout pareil. Le groupe vient de repartir 10 ans en arrière...

A noter qu'il s'agit là d'une démo pour le moment! Cependant pareil, je trouve qu'ils font un retour en arrière bien loin de la qualité des derniers albums.

Copier-coller de chaque réflexion avant la sortie d'un album d'un artiste Nuclear Blast : il ne faut pas se fier aux singles, attendons la sortie de l'album

Enfin un titre qui ne fait pas plus de 5 minutes! Cela dit, j'ai écouté le titre trois fois et je n'en ai pratiquement rien retenu. On dirait un titre bonus moisi des 2 derniers albums. Je pense avoir carrément décroché avec ce groupe. Dommage, j'étais pourtant fan il fut un temps.

Sinon, personne n'a posté la reprise d'Ignite, assez anecdotique finalement:

Machine Head have officially announced their new album “Bloodstone & Diamonds“.

The bands own Robb Flynn handled the production duties alongside Juan Urteaga (Cattle Decapitation, Testament), while Colin Richardson (Slipknot, Behemoth) again primarily handled the mix. Flynn said of the title:

“Without getting too philosophical on ya, bloodstone and diamonds represent two of the hardest materials on earth, it is also a lyric from the opening track of the album “Now We Die“. In many cultures the bloodstone has been used as an amulet to protect against evil, and is the symbol of justice. Diamonds are the hardest natural material on earth (which is how we feel about our music), and it also represents the diamond logo I drew 22 years ago (in my wife’s apartment on Dover St. in Oakland) that has become the symbol for the band.”

The track listing and cover art for the album have been revealed and can be found below:

Flynn further stated of the outing:
“10 songs, an interlude, and an instrumental with an audio collage of spoken word snippets (think “Real Eyes, Realize, Real Lies“) by Dr. Bruce Lipton and Steve Bhaerman, taken from their (incredibly inspiring) audiobook “Spontaneous Evolution“.
It was once again produced by your truly The General and Juan Urteaga, and like the last 7 out of 8 albums masterfully mixed by Colin Richardson. Additional tracking, editing, and mixing was done with heavy metal legend Andy Sneap and Steve Lagudi.
Guest musicians include 2 different string quartets featuring the original Quartet Rouge that appeared on our last album “Unto The Locust“. And a new all-male quartet which we featured on the song “In Comes The Flood“.

String arrangements for 2 of the songs “Now We Die” and “Sail Into The Black” came courtesy of myself and Rhys Fulber who has worked with everyone from Sarah McLachlan, to Fear Factory, and the string arrangement for “In Comes The Flood” came courtesy of myself and ex-Worship and current-Bring Me The Horizon keyboardist Jordan Fish, who is a producer in his own right.
We worked with several artists to complete the 28 page (!) “standard” CD booklet, as well as the 48 page (!) hardcover leather-bound Media-book that will serve as the special edition, including Rafal Wechterowicz, Marcelo Vasco, and long-time Machine Head art-collaborator Strephon Taylor. The theme was to have both CD and hardcover Mediabook look like an old Alchemy book from the 1800′s, with weathered edges, sepia toned pages, and magic / masonic / alchemy themed woodcarvings throughout.
It turned out fucking amazing!!

All album photos were done with our friend Travis Shinn who took some mind-bogglingly awesome photos, that again, were set to match the theme of the book with an old 1800′s / alchemy feel to them.”

An official release date for the effort on Nuclear Blast Entertainment remains pending.

Je préfère ce titre que Killers & Kings en tout cas. Mais derrière ça reste peu inspiré je trouve comparé aux 2 précédents albums, enfin attendons l'album entier.

Il faut vraiment que ce groupe arrête avec les titres aussi longs.. Certes il y a quelques bons passages mais la longueur dilue le truc et on finit par s'enmmerder. Et puis le côté épique/symphonique ne colle vraiment pas au groupe. C'est tellement kitsch.

J'ai "reçu" le vinyle qui est malheureusement coincé à la poste jusqu'à vendredi, mais le CD devrait arriver aujourd'hui! On verra ce soir ce que ça donne, mais j'avoue que c'est l'écoute que j'appréhende le plus ces derniers temps.
Au départ les singles j'ai pas trop accroché, mais depuis le live je m'en suis fait une autre idée, et maintenant je les écoutent facilement. Maintenant reste à voir l'ensemble de l'album qui à visiblement l'air d'être bien varié.

Écouté 2 fois. C'est long, très long... et Robb en fait trop entre les samples grandiloquents et le chant clair partout. Assez déçu pour le moment d'autant que c'est pas très inspiré niveau riffs...

Tout à fait d'accord ! Il en fait beaucoup trop, il s'est probablement senti obligé d'essayer de sortir un album "énorme" alors qu'un peu de simplicité n'aurait pas fait de mal !

J'ai cru à une blague au départ comme ce titre ne devait sortir que vendredi. Mais bon, si c'est bien l'officiel, ce single va vite partir aux oubliettes!
