Finally we can announce the first of out two KEEP IT TRUE 16 headliners. We are proud to present the mighty LIEGE LORD. Joe Comeau (vocals), Tony Truglio (guitars) and Matt Vinci (bass) will perform their classic “Master Control” album plus all highlights from the first two albums “Freedom’s Rise” And “Burn To My Touch”. We hope you will enjoy this rare gig of an absolute cultband as much as we do.

LIEGE LORD

C'est cool comme annonce, surtout avec Joe Comeau, en espérant qu'il puisse encore chanter comme à l'époque.
En revanche mettre Liege Lord tête d'affiche ça me paraît quand même exagéré, malgré tout le bien que je pense de Master Control. Mais bon c'est kvlt.

pas trop d'accord,même si le groupe n'a que trois albums a son actif,cela permettra de pratiquement tout jouer (les deux premiers albums atteingnant a peine 1h a eux deux).de plus n'etant plus du tout actif leur venue est assez evenementielle (toutes proportions gardés).
et si comme tout le monde l'espere Warlord fait la deuxieme tete d'affiche

eux n'ont que 2 vrais albums.
MAIS ON S'EN FOUT,C'EST PAS CA QUI COMPTE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

bah je prefere liege lord a psychotic waltz de l'an dernier qui m'a franchement gravé !

Idem, j'avais l'impression qu'ils n'étaient pas tête d'affiche mais plutôt "groupe de fin" un peu plus calme pour que les gens repartent l'esprit reposé...

bah avec les conneries je me suis fait tellement chier a leur set que je suis reparti l'esprit bourré

D'accord sur le côté évènementiel et le fait qu'ils puissent jouer un set avantageux. Tant mieux.

En revanche, comparé à Warlord justement, ou même à Psychotic Waltz, deux groupes influents dans leur sphère musicale respective, objectivement on ne peut pas dire que Liege Lord ont autant marqué l'histoire du metal US. L'importance de Liege Lord sur la scène est même bien moindre que celle d'un Helstar ou d'un Manilla Road, têtes d'affiche "classiques" du festival. D'où mon sentiment sur leur place à l'affiche.
M'enfin, l'important c'est de voir du neuf (ou du vieux en l'occurrence).

je suis d'accord. le fait que liege lord n'est influencé personne, on s'en fout un peu... moi je vais me faire un plaisir de les voir... parce-que ça j'ai jamais encore vu.... et que j'aime bien.... et qu'ils ont fait quelques bon morçeaux... et que ça devrait péter... a l'origine, le KIT n'est pas un festival où l'on voit des groupes majeurs mais justement où l'on pouvait enfin voir des "seconds couteaux" que l'on avait jamais eu (ou rarement) l’occasion de voir... donc pour moi des groupes comme liege lorde ont donc toutes leur place en haut d'une affiche de KIT...

dans les groupes reformés mais y a longtemps c'est quand même bien sympa ce groupe! pis comme ça on pourra réentendre Kill the King

Tres bonne tete d'affiche, en tous cas Liege Lord dans les années 80 je connaissais alors que Psychotic Waltz ou Warlord et même Helstar, pas vraiment. Ils avaient une vraie notoriété à l'époque et méritent amplement cette place en haut de l'affiche.
En tous cas si la seconde tete d'affiche est Warlord je peux déjà réserver ma place sur les gradins pour pioncer, j'ai jamais accroché.

sur facebook William tsamis viens d'annoncer la venue du groupe en europe pour 2013,donc nous pouvons faire des pronostics assez certains.
sauf si entre temps sa maladie le rattrape...

... du coup je les ai déjà vu, mais il y a prescription....

Finally we are able to announce our big Saturday headliner. We tried the band since KIT 1 and now it becomes reality: Legendary WARLORD with William J Tsamis and Mark Zonder will headline the KEEP IT TRUE Saturday. This will be the first show of WARLORD since the two shows in 2002 in Wacken and Itzehoe. There will also be a brand new album released in 2013. So be prepared for the mighty return of WARLORD. “Warlord is very happy to be coming to the Keep It True festival this April 2013. As you may know, there was a lot of tension whether Warlord should play Keep It True or Headbangers Open Air. I have great respect for the promoters of HOA and I have great respect for Oliver Weinsheimer, the promoter of Keep It True. In the end, however, our decision was based on one simple factor - and that was "the fans." Apart from researching the venues and corroborating with our peers from other respected metal bands, it all came down to what the fans were saying. Our intelligence sources followed numerous discussions on the internet, and it was clear that the fans at Keep It True seemed to want Warlord more than the fans of Headbangers Open Air. l'affiche déchire vraiment.....pour moi, sur le papier, c'est le meilleur KIT....

Encore faut il qu'il n'y ait pas une avalanche d'annulation aussi...
