Accept want to create one huge show consisting of three different parts to reflect their entire creativity! But what is going to happen exactly?

The first act: Accept will present some songs from their new album The Rise Of Chaos exclusively at Wacken!

One day after the live premier in Wacken, the album will be released all over the world – on August 4th. It’s the fourth Accept album to be released by Nuclear Blast and it is going continue the feats from its three predecessors Blood Of The Nations, Stalingrad and Blind Rage.

This first part of the Wacken show will be more than just the live premier, but a classical Accept Metal show with both old and new hits!

The second part is another premier! Wolf Hoffmann and the Czech National Symphony Orchestra will perform songs from Wolf’s solo album Headbangers Symphony together. The album was already released in 2016, but this will be the live premier! The album adapts some of the greatest works of the classical music, like Beethoven's Symphony no. 9 for the metal world.

The closing third part combines everything for the grand finale: Accept will rock the stage together with the big Orchestra, framed by a complex multimedia show. Needless to say, that this is another huge premier for the band.

We are preparing some small and some big changes for the upcoming Wacken Open Air! The construction work from last autumn were only the first step of our investments and improvements.

Today's news is about the big stages and the sound in our infield. More news will follow soon!

The stage names:
Last year we asked you to submit suggestions to rename the Party Stage. More than 1000 suggestions reached us and they covered a huge range of ideas. Thank you for your ideas and your support!

Some of the ideas were amazing! But still, none of them felt right for us. After many, many discussions, we came to the, at least for us, right idea: We need to understand our three big open air stages as one unit.

The solution suddenly was obvious: Our most important slogan is Faster Harder Louder! Three words that perfectly describe both the festival and the metal scene. And we have three really big stages.

The Black Stage becomes Faster. The True Stage is Harder. And the former Party Stage will be known under the name Louder.

The sound:
We always aim to deliver the best metal sound that is possible! To improve the situation once more, we will upgrade all three main stages together with the experts from Crystal Sound.

The area in front of the twin stage Faster and Harder gets an additional third row of speakers that improves the sound for the rear areas. If you like to watch the concerts from a little distance, you will get great sound from this second delay line.

The Louder stage gets an upgrade too! Until now we only installed a few delay speakers at the rear of the FoH-tower. Now we will install a real delay row for this stage, too! The goal is the same: More sound for the crowd, especially in the back of the area.

The new stage house:
Important parts of our Party Stage aren't available this year. Due to this, the Louder stage not only gets a new name and more speakers but also a new design!

The stage will become a tremendous round arch stage! This new stage offers the bands as much space as the old one and still outdoes many other festival stages all around the world.

We continue to work on the infield! After the announcement of the new stage names and the additional speakers and the enormous building operations from last autumn, we now continued with more groundwork.

Starting from two hubs, we installed huge empty conduits below the ground. We lay fiber optic cables and power supply lines through these pipes, to reach several points in front of the stages. And we also install a beer pipeline!

You read it right, the beer stalls in front of the main stages will be provided with fresh beer from our new underground beer pipeline. Both fresh and waste water will run through these pipes too. Of course we will control the hygiene of the tubes all the time.

Until this year, we always had to move dozens of barrels through the infield. We had to bring in full barrels before and during the shows and afterwards we had to remove the empty ones. This caused a lot of avoidable traffic. The new pipeline helps us to protect the floor! And we also get rid of bottlenecks at the bar, you will not have to wait for the new barrel to be on tap anymore.

The installation of the pipes and the enlarged drainage is a lasting investment in the infrastructure of Wacken. We pave the way for many more years of Heavy Metal at Wacken Open Air!
