Pendant ce temps John Bush et Joey Vera redonnent vie à Armored Saint pour quelques concerts en première partie de Scorpions

Mais malheureusement ils ont dit que ce n'était que temporaire...

The SCORPIONS needed an opening band for their show at the Dodge Theater in Phoenix, July 30th, and a promoter/manager type who happened to be an old friend, gave (vocalist) John Bush a call and asked if ARMORED SAINT would do it.

After thinking it over, the band said "why not?" They're gonna do a couple of rehearsals and then do the show.

Bush says Saint have been offered to reunite time and time again but it's just not in the works right now. Everyone has their own thing going and John is enjoying his time with his family and daughter.

Bush stressed, this is a ONE TIME ONLY deal.

According to Metal-Rules.com, Universal Music Canada have confirmed details for the upcoming ANTHRAX CD/DVD release "Anthralogy: The Best Of Anthrax (1985-1991)".

Putain ça part en "live" Anthrax...
J'espère que Scott Ian va bientôt reprendre les choses en mains...

Ils ont pas non plus 40 compiles à leur actif. Si ils se retrouve on peut comprendre qu'ils marquent le coup. Bon, c'est toujours un best-of de merde, mais je veux dire... ça s'excuse, non ?

Allez, en étant généreux, on peut dire qu'il y a un DVD dans ce best-of, donc que ça a un intérêt.
Mais ils ont déjà sorti 4 ou 5 best-of ces dernières années, certains sans leur accord sans doute, certes...

Au best-of cité plus haut, il faut maintenant ajouer un nouvel album live.......

Perso, je l'ai déjà dit, j'adore ARMORED SAINT, et je trouve que John BUSH me plaît mieux dans ce groupe que dans ANTHRAX ( je n'ai pas du tout aimé le tournant musical d'ANTHRAX après "Among the Living", que j'adore...
Sinon, j'aime bien les 2 compil' d'Anthrax : "Return of the Killer A's + B's"
et puis je veux DES SOLI de gratte !!! Donc, j'espère que si reformation initiale il y aura, cela va cartonner !

Et cette fois il semble que c'est bel et bien terminé pour John Bush, car dans une nouvelle interview on sent qu'il est dégoûté par ce cirque et qu'il n'a pas envie de revenir :

"At one time, I had been willing to tour with Joey, but now everything is different," Bush says. "It just wasn't in my heart. I figured I had been in this band 12 and a half years, and we felt positive about what we had done, and we all thought our last album, 'We've Come for You All', was the best record we'd made together. So I just wanted to move forward and do another album."

"The idea of this reunion tour was to generate a bunch of enthusiasm for the band. But if they get people excited, they're going to want a new record, so they're going to follow up with a new album with Joey," Bush says. "So for me, I look at it as it's over. The last thing I want to do is say, 'Hey, I'll be here if you want me.'"

Ben on pouvait s'en douter depuis le début...
'tain, je suis super déçu par l'attitude de Ian etr Benante... J'aime pas Anthax avec Bush, mais j'avais énormément de respect pour le groupe...
Et paradoxalement, là, je suis dégouté alors que c'est le line-up que j'adule...

D'ailleurs sur Metal-Archive et BNR Metal Pages, le line-up officiel est :

Les autres sont dans les "former members". A la rigueur, que Bello revienne, ça me choque pas, il était pas parti depuis longtemps... Que Belladonna soit là, ça me fait chier pour Bush, et je trouve ça bizarre (même si j'adore son chant dans Anthrax), mais Spitz... Après tout ce qu'il a vomi sur le metal... D'ailleurs c'était bien marrant de le voir avec un t-shirt avec un pentacle sur scène...
Le coup des t-shirts, ça montrait bien que Bello, Belladonna et Spitz revenaient pour s'ajouter à "l'équipe", mais pas qu'ils prenaient la place des autres... mais je vois pas comment c'était possible de gérer les deux line-up...

Scott Ian répond sur leur site, mais c'est assez pathétique...
Il fait passer John Bush pour le problème dans Anthrax en fait, comme si à cause de lui le groupe ne pouvait plus être en activité...

Mais si on lit entre les lignes, il dit juste qu'ils se sont reformés avec Belladonna car ils vendaient de moins en moins avec Bush...

"Nothing has changed because of an interview that we all participated in four months ago. What it doesn't say is that without this reunion tour, the band is over. No new record, nothing. It would've been impossible for us to continue as ANTHRAX. This tour is a bridge to the future of this band. Don't bother speculating on it. It's all going to come down to the music. We'll start writing and see where it takes us just like we've always done."

Franchement c'est du grand n'importe quoi...

moi je n'ai connu anthrax qu'avec john bush, dont je trouvais la presence scénique hallucinante de concentré de patate. j'ai rien de personnel contre Belladonna, mais n'ayant pas dans le passé de lien affectif pour le line-up le comprenant, j'ai trouvé la prestation du monsieur assez pathétique au graspop cette année.
pour moi donc, anthrax sans bush c'est plus vraiment le anthrax que j'aime . dommage, car ce groupe ne m'avait jamais déçu en 4 ou 5 concerts.

C'est le genre de truc qui fait qu'un groupe se décrédibilise..et reste à jamais un groupe de seconde zone...

Anthrax a tout gaché.

ça fait un peu carte de la dernière chance... si ça ne marche pas comme attendu ils seront dans la merde.

Et le dernier cd de réenregistrements avec Bush ils vont le renier maintenant?

Finalement ils se sont décidés, ils ont trouvé que ça collerait mieux avec le nom du groupe :

J'en...e Belladonna et Spitz . Je suis un fan ultime d'Anthrax mais la c'est la deception . Va vraiment falloir qu'ils sortent un putain d'album pour me convaincre que c'etait le bon choix .
Et de toute façon , sceniquement y'a pas photo : Bush plie largement Belladonna . En plus de ca on aura plus l'occasion d'entendre des titres comme "Only" ou "Inside Out" , fais vraiment chier.....

Ouais, Belladonna et Spitz on leur a proposé de revenir, ils auraient eu tort de refuser... pas la peine de les insulter pour ça.
Par contre Ian et Benante ont clairement menti aux fans...

Il est clair que les véreux dans cette histoire ce sont Ian et Benante....

Maintenant la dernière histoire c'est que la mort de Dimebag aurait fini de convaincre Charlie Benante de reformer l'ancien line-up..... Bientôt ça sera en raison de la mort du pape...

“To be honest with you, a lot of writers ask [about that], but they always get it wrong," explained Benante. "I got to take you back to about November last year. I saw Dime about two weeks prior to his death — we talked about so much different shit that night and I told him about the possibility of doing a reunion. He said that he thought it was a great idea and went on and on about it, and really made me feel good about the idea. I took [what he said] in mind and it really took me along, and when he was shot, different emotions came out, but it really made me think about everybody else. Will everybody be here or be able to do this tour in five or ten years? That's what pushed me to do this."
