”Grand Gesture of Defiance” is a conceptual album about an imaginary, totalitarian religious group called “The Vultures” that through cryptocratic gatherings and decision-making processes is trying to attain world domination. A “nice” little conspiracy theory depicting the leaders of the world as figureheads, serving merely as puppets for an influential secretive elite, and who despite holding significant titles wields little to no influence at all.

At the present moment, everything apart from the vocals and some additional guitar solos has been nailed, and we hope to have the album recorded, mixed and mastered in April/May 2010.

ATLANTEAN KODEX signs with Cruz del Sur

German Epic Metal band Atlantean Kodex and Italian label Cruz Del Sur Music announce to have signed a deal for the worldwide release of Atlantean Kodex’s upcoming debut album „The Golden Bough“.
Atlantean Kodex are one of the most acclaimed newer bands in the European underground metal scene. Rooted deeply in the sound of old Manowar, Viking-era Bathory and classic 1980s-metal, their „Pnakotic Demos“ EP has sold close to 2000 copies and has been praised by critics as one of the best Epic Metal releases ever. With festival appearances at renowned events like Keep it True XII, Up the Hammers or Hammer of Doom, Atlantean Kodex have also made themselves a name as an intense live band who never fails to deliver the steel.
Says guitar-player Manuel Trummer about the deal: „I couldn‘t have imagined anyone else than Cruz del Sur to release ,The golden bough‘. We‘re highly impressed by the work label-owner Enrico did in the past and we‘re honoured to be on the same label like some of our favorite bands such as While Heaven Wept, Slough Feg, Twisted Tower Dire or Battleroar.“
On behalf of Cruz Del Sur Music, label owner Enrico Leccese states: “I am very glad we have the opportunity of working together with Atlantean Kodex. I am definitely impressed by the enthusiasm, the strength and motivation these guys have shown so far; that’s exactly what we’re looking for in a band. And the music contained in “The Golden Bough” is simply fantastic!”

„The Golden Bough“ is scheduled for a release on Cruz del Sur in September 2010. A deluxe vinyl edition will be released by renowned German high-quality vinyl label Iron Kodex.

Ah la vache, je viens de tomber sur la toute nouvelle zique des doomeux de HOODED PRIEST, et nom de dieu que c'est excellent! Encore meilleur que tout ce qu'ils ont pu srtir jusqu'à présent. Leur prochain album sortira le 13 mai 2010 sur EMANES METAL, en plein LONG LIVE METAL!!! Classe!

En octobre devrait sortir un EP de Wotan. Hate d'avoir au moins un titre sur leur myspace !

J'aime beaucoup les deux premiers albums de ce groupe de metal épique que j'ai beaucoup écouté, jusqu'à ce que je les vois sur scène (PLAY IT LOUD). Je m'étais imaginé un concert mémorable et j'ai été pas mal déçu.... Trop mou... Le côté épique de leurs titres tombant complètement à l'eau... Dommage...
Par contre je testerais quand même cet EP, ça me fait chier d'être resté sur une mauvaise impression avec ce groupe.

en tres bon doom il y avait la demo de lamented souls, groupe composé des gars d aura noir. J'ai vu qu'un cd etait sorti dans l'indifférence totale en 2004 mais je le n'ai pas ecouté

AGE OF TAURUS je connais déjà, leur démo est une tuerie. Le meilleur truc que j'aie écouté en ce début d'année.
