Dehmanizer pour moi n'a rien à envier à Heaven and Hell ou Mob Rules, un album gigantesque qui mérite de figurer au panthéon du heavy metal.
Et les nouveaux morceaux de Iommi et Dio sont pas mal du tout, en tous cas à des années lumière de la soupe que nous fait Ozzy aujourd'hui en solo.

Le dernier Ozzy est la pire daube que j'ai jamais entendu , digne de la star academy (à la différence des albums solo de Dio toujours très réussis). Donc je suis bien content que Black Sabbath version Dio peut refaire un album, c'est cette formation du groupe que je préfère.

Q: There has been talk of maybe a new studio album from Heaven & Hell next year. Is that something that could happen?

Dio: Yes, we have decided to do that. When it would be, I couldn’t tell you. This is the last part of the tour after about 9 months on the road. It’s time for us to take a little breather. When the time is right we will get together and start writing for the next album, but as far as the release date goes it will probably be later next year.

Artisan News Service has posted a short video interview with legendary heavy metal drummer Vinny Appice (HEAVEN AND HELL, DIO, BLACK SABBATH) in which he confirms that the songwriting sessions for the new album from HEAVEN AND HELL — the band featuring Appice alongside vocalist Ronnie James Dio, bassist Geezer Butler and guitarist Tony Iommi — will begin in April 2008. Watch the footage in three parts at this location.

"We're doing another HEAVEN AND HELL, we're going to do a CD album, so we're going to start writing in April-May and I also have a little thing going on with my original band DERRINGER, the first band I played with in 1976. We're doing a little reunion tour. We got all these great offers and we thought we'd do it. So, it'll be a busy year."

Vinny even went on to say that the initial songwriting with HEAVEN AND HELL is going smooth as well.

"It was cool," he said. "Actually it's been over a year now. I went over there, to England in November and we got together and did three songs and it was great. After like five minutes it was like nothing, we were never apart after that, you know. It just went smooth as silk."

So what's it like playing with the legendary guitarist Tony Iommi on one side and the legendary bassist Geezer Butler on the other side?

"Those guys are, like, I mean it doesn't get much heavier than playing with Tony and Geezer," he said. "Tony on this side and Geezer on this side, it's just a wall of sound. And then you got Dio, who manages to sing over all that, it's just totally incredible. I'm in heaven...and hell."

Désolé, mais je ne suis pas dutout d'accord avec toi!

Dio n'a quazi pas vieilli vocalement, ce n'est pas le cas de Ozzy qui lui n'a peut être pas sa carriere de morte (bien que son dernier bon album etait "no more tears" qui date de 91) mais le gars en question est mort pour moi, quand on devient aussi ridicule que lui, on prend sa retraite, et vite!!!
Dio a lui en 20 ans, au moins le merite d'avoir sorti des albums corrects (je pense a Magica et Killing the dragon par exemple).
Serieusement! Je respecte le bonhomme pour ce qu'il a fait avant mais là??? Ozzy n'a plus rien a apporter, qu'il s'en aillle avant d'être totalement humillié!
Il a fait un bon concert a je ne sais plus quel festival?
Et alors ça ratrappe le nombre de concerts qu'il a foiré?
Dio est selon les gens qu'ils l'ont vu ses dernieres années, la presse ect ect, toujours a un niveau plus que correct.

tout à fait d'accord avec toi RG, je dirai même que DIO malgré son age reste un des plus grand chanteur de metal encore aujourd'hui.

As previously reported, HEAVEN AND HELL - the band featuring legendary BLACK SABBATH members Ronnie James Dio (vocals), Tony Iommi (guitar), Geezer Butler (bass) and Vinny Appice (drums) - has entered Rockfield studios in Wales to begin recording its new album, the group's first since the band's Dehumanizer (which was also recorded at Rockfield) in 1992.

Appice has issued the following update: "Well the new Heaven And Hell album is going very well with almost 3/4 of the songs recorded. It sounds amazing and it's very heavy. The untitled CD will be released sometime in March-April 2009 (via Rhino Records)."

Putain, pour un mec, lessivé, il fait de sacrément bons albums et des concerts merveilleux avec une voix magnifique et une attitude fantastique envers ses fans.

J'aimerais bien être lessivé comme ça.

même si j'ai du mal avec la voix vieillissante de Dio

Legendary heavy metal vocalist Ronnie James Dio recently spoke to Revolver magazine about the upcoming album from HEAVEN AND HELL — the band featuring BLACK SABBATH members Dio, Tony Iommi (guitar), Geezer Butler (bass) and Vinny Appice (drums). The group's first LP since SABBATH's "Dehumanizer" (1992) is being recorded at Rockfield studios in Wales, England (where "Dehumanizer" was also tracked).

"It sounds great," Ronnie said of the self-produced set which he co-wrote with Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler during sessions in Los Angeles and England. "It's a real cross-section of everything we've done, from 'Heaven and Hell' through 'Mob Rules' and 'Dehumanizer'. I think there's a lot of 'Dehumanizer' in it, but a lot of other things, too, a real good blend of what this band has represented."



Two years ago, Dio, Iommi, Butler and Appice reunited to record a trio of new songs for Rhino's "Black Sabbath: The Dio Years" before launching a highly anticipated and greatly acclaimed world tour under their new moniker HEAVEN AND HELL. Revitalized by the reunion, the lineup is back in the studio now recording the first-ever full-length studio album from HEAVEN AND HELL. To whet the fans' appetites for the new album, HEAVEN AND HELL returned to the road this past summer for a short stint on the Metal Masters Tour, a month-long North American trek with JUDAS PRIEST, MOTÖRHEAD, and TESTAMENT.

Regarding the band's decision to continue to operate as HEAVEN AND HELL rather than BLACK SABBATH, Iommi told Billboard.com earlier this year, "It really is BLACK SABBATH, whatever we do. We just choose to go out as HEAVEN AND HELL so everyone knows what they're getting [and] so people won't expect to hear 'Iron Man' and all those songs. We've done them for so many years, it's nice to do just all the stuff with did with Ronnie again."

Ouais c'est de la promo, mais les inédits du best of étaient déjà dans la veine de Dehumanizer, donc ça m'étonnerait que ce soit effectivement le cas pour l'album.

Quelques titres ont filtrés: "Bible Black", "Rock & Roll Angel", "Breaking Into Heaven", "Atom & Evil" et "Eating the Cannibals". LOS ANGELES --Ronnie James Dio, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Vinny Appice returned to the stage after 15 years in 2007, launching a triumphant world tour as Heaven & Hell. Revitalized and inspired by its time on the road, the quartet recently returned to the studio, recording the band's first album since 1992's Dehumanizer. The highly anticipated album, THE DEVIL YOU KNOW, will be available from Rhino on April 28.

"Everyone had so much fun playing together that we didn't want it to end," says the group. "We started writing together and the songs started flowing like we never stopped. We wound up writing and recording an album that stands up to anything we've ever done. We're really proud of the music and excited for people to hear it."

The dark tone heard on THE DEVIL YOU KNOW is clear from several of the album's song titles, such as "Bible Black," "Rock & Roll Angel," "Breaking Into Heaven," "Atom & Evil" and "Eating The Cannibals."

The seeds of the new album were planted in 2006, when Dio, Iommi, Butler and Appice returned to the studio to record a trio of new songs for Black Sabbath: The Dio Years, a recent compilation of essential tracks taken from the quartet's four albums together. Soon after, the band launched a run of sold-out shows around the world, electrifying audiences with its malevolent metal fury.
