White Wizzard : un peu de fraîcheur dans ce monde de "death" et de "black" ! Rien de bien original, mais ça a la pêche, et ça passe bien avec leurs clips, que je trouve réussis et plein d'humour. Pour faire une parenthèse (cela me rappelle un peu la démarche d'un groupe que j'aime bien : WOLF : que devienne-t-ils depuis "Evil Star" ?).

Wolf ont sorti deux très bons albums depuis, tu trouveras les topics ici :

J'ai acheté l'album et en effet, c'est très frais et heavy/rock'n roll. Un bon petit album quoi (mais pas du tout la baffe, hein)

Encore un changement de chanteur :

Vocalist Peter Ellis (pictured at left) has parted ways with THE MORE I SEE to join L.A.-based rockers WHITE WIZZARD.

The More I See guitarist Gizz Butt had this to say on Peter’s departure: "Peter’s the right guy for the job. I’m 100% behind this move and will support him all the way. He’d be crazy not to accept such an opportunity!"

Original vocalist Chad Sunderland will join The More I See for their remaining shows of 2010. Stay tuned for a statement from White Wizzard.

Le groupe a enregistré une nouvelle chanson en hommage à Dio :

Un hommage tout à fait honorable, un Heavy-Rock très bien joué...Par contre, leur musique n'est pas très originale, et dans ce registre, il est dur d'innover.

Ouais c'est toujours assez sympatoche, comme le morceau de Jorn Lande, même si pour l'instant ma chanson hommage préférée reste celle de Mike Tramp.

Il est pas resté longtemps le Peter Ellis, il quitte le groupe et c'est l'ex chanteur Wyatt Anderson qui revient.
Le nouvel album est prévu chez Earache pour cet été.
J'espere que le line up tiendra au moins jusqu'au HOA

Apparemment le bassiste est vraiment un dictateur et veut absolument rester dans le heavy traditionnel sans la moindre influence thrash ou quoi que ce soit.

Pas étonnant que tous ses zicos le lachent, la plupart ont d'ailleurs formé le groupe Holy Grail que je trouve vraiment sympa.

Los Angeles traditional heavy metal act WHITE WIZZARD will release its new album, "Flying Tigers", on September 19 via Earache Records. The CD features twelve new tracks and expands on the band's traditional heavy metal blueprint, with songs ranging from fist-pumping NWOBHM-style anthems, through the arena rock power of "Starchild", to a six-track epic concept piece featuring science-fiction and philosophical elements tied together with a progressive vibe.

"Flying Tigers" features the core WHITE WIZZARD lineup of bassist, songwriter and founding member Jon Leon, drummer Giovanni Durst and studio vocalist Wyatt Anderson, who featured on the band's debut album, "Over The Top". The album was once again recorded with producer Ralph Patlan in Phoenix, Arizona.
