Concernant Obituary, si tu ne connais pas, prend toi Slowly We Rot , leur 1er album, et de tres loin leur meilleur; n'ecoute surtout pas ceux qui te disent que le meilleur c'est le 2eme, Cause of Death: c'est totalement faux. Il y a certes de tres bonnes chansons dessus(quoique moins bonnes que sur Slowly We Rot), mais les jolis solos de guitare toute en finesse de James Murphy sont assez hors sujet dans cette partouze entre zombies que reste la musique des floridiens(et ça doit être encore plus le cas des derniers albums avec Ralph Santolla; c'est pour ça que j'ai arreté d'acheter leurs albums recents).

Quelques commentaires sur ce classement du mois d'août:

- Victoire surprise d'Amon Amrth avec son album sorti il y a presque un an! Belle perf, vraiment qui montre que cet album est bien costaud dans son genre Il devrait d'ailleurs regagner quelques places au classement général global
- La nouveauté du mois qui s'en sort bien, c'est le dernier Behemoth, avec un album apparemment très bon. Le score est cependant modeste, cet album n'étant pas encore dans toutes les chaumières métalliques
- Judas complète le podium avec son live pas tant attendu que ça (le groupe en a déjà sorti quelques uns, même si pas autant que Maiden ).
- autre (demi surprise) avec le retour du dernier Candlemass en 4ème. Pour un album sorti il y a environ 5 mois, c'est joli

A noter ce mois -ci que les scores sont quand même modestes. A part le Amon Amarth qui a glané 16 points, ça se traîne un peu derrière. Alors forcément, c'est serré et c'est surtout la variété qui a primé ce mois-ci, ce qui ma foi est aussi une très bonne chose.

A mon avis;, ça se décantera plus en septembre où il y aura beaucoup de belles sorties qui devraient rallier plein de suffrages (Megadeth, Nightmare, 3inches of Blood, Axxis, et j'en oublie des plus grosses encore, je le sais ).

Côté stats, la participation des defenders fut encore excellente avec 23 votants, et le top de ce mois comporte 108 albums différents. La classe!
