Un peu tôt pour qu'une tournée soit annoncée. Attendons que l'album fasse parler de lui et que des tourneurs et/ou gros groupes se montrent interessés

Rappel, l'album sort donc en 2 éditions :

L'édition normale, en boitier cristal, contient 10 titres + 1 videoclip
L'édition limitée, en digipack, contient 11 titres + 1 videoclip

Saturn (anciennement Planète Saturn), à Sainte Geneviève des Bois (91). Ils ont un bon rayon métal et ont l'avantage d'être ouverts le dimanche

Histoire que tu ne perdes pas ton temps : la seule fnac qui l'a commandé sur la région parisienne (et donc qui l'aura peut-être le 5) est la Fnac Saint Lazare. Et il y a une semaine, les Virgin ne l'avaient pas dans leur base de données, donc je serai étonné qu'ils l'aient en temps et en heure. La meilleure option est internet

Alors, Ghost, il est bon cet album ou pas? Il ressemble au précédent ou bien marque -t-il un changement notable?

Les autrichiens annoncent un album au concept historique.

Austrian symphonic melodic metallers SERENITY have set "Death & Legacy" as the title of their new CD, tentatively due before the end of the year. Vocalist Georg Neuhauser states, "We're working on a historical concept for the whole album. Nine songs are nearly finished now so there are only two more songs left to write for the limited editions (one for Europe/USA and one for Japan)."

He adds, "The songs so far are really fantastic! Bombastic, speedy and there's a great ballad as well. There will be some interludes and we're just working on the concept for the video clip. There'll also be an online single in advance but I can't tell you exactly when!

"The album will be finished in summer but we have got no influence on the release date!

"The promo pics are keeping us busy too and within the next weeks we'll have a big photo shooting and I can promise you the pictures will be something really special and new — no boring pics showing five musicians standing in front of a wall..."

Bassist Simon Holzknecht has left Austrian symphonic melodic metallers SERENITY due to personal reasons.

Commented the band: "Within the last couple of years Simon was a constant and important part within the band and his bass playing completed our releases (2007's 'Words Untold & Dreams Unlived', 2008's 'Fallen Sanctuary') as well as our live performances.

"We have a lot of great memories to share from our weeks and weeks on tour, in studio, rehearsing or simply having fun with each other.

"We know how much effort and idealism is needed for a band such as SERENITY and so we fully understand and back up his decision. Of course, we wish him the best for his future career — no matter in which direction it may lead.

"Simon stated that he will not join another band immediately — what the future holds... we will see (or better hear)."

Added SERENITY: "Be assured that this will have absolutely no effect on our upcoming release or our live gigs! Bass guitars for our upcoming release, 'Death & Legacy', were already recorded by Tom Buchberger (guitar, songwriting).

"And here are the good news! Fabio D'Amore (PATHOSRAY, FAIRYLAND) will join SERENITY for all future live performances starting with our ProgPower Europe gig on the 1st of October 2010.

"Fabio plays in several bands and runs his own studio in Verona, Italy. The fact that his other bands only perform some single shows a year made it quite easy to get him on board our battleship cruiser. He is fully addicted to music and we are looking forward to a whole lot of new touring experiences as well as gorgeous 'Austrian-English-Italian-translations' (this will be pain in the ass )!

"If Fabio will become a full SERENITY member is a decision to be made by all of us in the future to come."

SERENITY's new album, "Death & Legacy", is currently being mixed for a late 201 release.

The band last fall supported U.K. progressive metallers THRESHOLD on their European tour.

J'avais bien aimé Words Untold & Dreams Unlived, mais le suivant m'a bien refroidi. Faudrait un p'tit miracle pour me convaincre d'écouter celui-là (bon, d'un autre côté, c'est déjà un petit miracle que je me souvienne encore d'eux...).

ça fait longtemps qu'il est sorti, hein! Je l'ai depuis le printemps je crois. Malheureusement, il ressemble plus au deuxième album qu'au premier, donc j'ai été un peu déçu, même si ça reste correct. Bref, rien de transcendant et encore moins de surprenant dans ce troisième disque. Il faudra que je le réécoute quand même pour me forger une opinion plus définitive.

Notre amie française Clementine (ex-Whyzdom) devient la chanteuse officielle du groupe :

Since their second album, Serenity did add female voices to its songs, had different guests to perform them live and among them was Clementine Delauney. Going on tour together, the band realized her voice, personality and stage performance was bringing something special to the band’s universe and thought she should be present on the new record. The idea evolved with time… why not have a permanent female voice in the band? And it seems they had found the perfect one both on professional and personal levels. So it came up somehow naturally that Clementine should not be considered “guest” anymore.

After a year of composing, writing, producing, designing and recording, Austrian symphonic melodic metallers SERENITY have revealed the first details of their fourth full-length album, "War Of Ages", due out on March 22 in Europe and March/April in the USA and Asia via Napalm Records. The follow-up to 2011's "Death & Legacy" was once again mixed and mastered by Jan Vacik at Dreamsound Studios in Munich, Germany. The cover artwork was created by Seth Siro Anton, who previously worked with SERENITY on their debut album. The band states: "It likely is his best work to date and the whole cover figurine is just as impressive as the limited-edition closeup." SERENITY also collaborated again with Oliver Philipps on arrangements and orchestration.

Leonardo Da Vinci is the center of attention here, but lovers of conspiracy theories, Illuminati and so forth will also rejoice when mastermind Georg Neuhauser gives free rein to his compositional genius. This album is full of monumental, movie score-ish orchestral arrangements mean riffing and lush melodies. The album will be released on January 29th via Napalm Records.

The band commented: “After three months of hard work, 150 unhealthy McDonalds meals and 200 bottles of Jägermeister, we're done - Opus finitum est - our 5th fulll length album Codex Atlanticus is ready to conquer the universe!
