Tout pareil que Samizo pour ma part.Je peux les comprendre, c'est vrai que s'il ne veut faire aucun concert, ça ne risque pas d'aider le groupe à évoluer commercialement parlant.SCAR SYMMETRY parts ways with vocalist
Dear friends.
A few months ago we decided to part ways with Christian. The reasons are mainly the cliched "business and creative differences" and lack of interpersonal chemistry. We came to a point where the band's existence was in jeopardy because of these differences, and the only way for us to continue with an inspired state of mind was to go through with this change in the line-up.
This should come as a total surprise to most of you, though you might have wondered why no gigs/tours have been announced since the release of "Holographic Universe". The truth is, we have been offered several tours and one-off shows that everyone in the band wanted to do except for Christian. In a situation like that you get a lot of frustration and it was in everyone's best interest to go separate ways.
We started Scar Symmetry just for the fun of it, never with the idea of becoming hugely successful or whatever. Now, three albums into our career, we've toured both Europe and North America, our latest CD made it to Billboard's Top Heatseekers' chart and we've enjoyed success way beyond our expectations. Needless to say, the situation for us as a band has changed since we started playing together in 2004 and the band is bigger than ever. We had the choice to either take a step back with Christian in the band or a step forward without him... We choose to go forward.
There comes a time to let go and move on, and that time is now. Scar Symmetry wishes Christian the best of luck with his future endeavors and salutes the good times we had with him in the band. We will announce the identity of Christian's replacement shortly.
La pochette:2011-02-25 - Swedish progressive melodic death metallers SCAR SYMMETRY just revealed the cover artwork for the bands upcoming album „The Unseen Empire“. Furthermore, drummer Henrik Ohlsson stated the following about the album: ”The Unseen Empire” seeks to expose the hidden hand of the elite that pull the strings of mankind in order to fullfill their agenda of global domination. The album concept goes from theories of shadow governments to secret ancient bloodlines and even further into speculations of malevolent influence from metaphysical reptilian-based intelligences. Mankind`s only hope to survive seems to be an internal awakening where the influence of the the unseen empire that rules in secrecy is washed away from the minds of the masses. They want us to stay within the framework of their agenda, hypnotizing us with things that draw attention but has no value. It`s time to step outside the framework and make „The Unseen Empire“ visible!“ „The Unseen Empire“ is set to be released on April 15, 2011 via Nuclear Blast!
At the beginning of the year, Scar Symmetry announced the concept of their upcoming trilogy of albums. At the time, the melodic death metal band shared what we now know will be the album cover for the first part of the trilogy. The Swedes are set to release their new album and successor to 2011's The Unseen Empire this fall. The new creation called The Singularity (Phase 1 - Neohumanity) will be out on October 3rd (Europe), October 6th (UK & France) and October 14th (US) 2014 via Nuclear Blast.
Guitarist Per Nilsson says: "FINALLY the first installment of The Singularity will see the light of day - writing and recording this album took much longer than I had anticipated, but I'm pretty sure you'll find it to be well worth the wait as in my opinion, this album contains some of Scar Symmetry's most epic moments ever!"
Nine years since the first instalment of The Singularity Trilogy, virtuosic progressive metallers Scar Symmetry, who recently re-signed to Nuclear Blast Records, have announced The Singularity (Phase II - Xenotaph) which will be released on June 9.
To coincide with the announcement, the band have also released the video for the album's first single, "Scorched Quadrant". Watch the video below, and stream the song on all services, here.
In the wake of the announcement, band mastermind Per Nilsson comments "It brings us the utmost pleasure and pride to announce the long-awaited and much-teased 'Phase II' to the world along with its first single! It's been a long time coming but I'm glad that we went the extra mile to make everything as perfect as we felt it needed to be.
The world is a different place in 2023 than it was in 2014 when Neohumanity was released... We see the rise of AI before our very eyes and while we all look in awe at the wonders it can create it is easy to think of some very disturbing scenarios. In our new album, we once again explore these themes of neohumanity, artificial intelligence and the technological singularity from a dystopian point of view.
The AI-enhanced neo-humans are waging war upon the unmodified majority of mankind who don't stand a chance against their technologically superior oppressors, until one day, a glimmer of salvation appears in the night sky. Almost impossible to first take in; as an utterly alien mirage, seemingly out of nowhere mysterious, giant spacecrafts silently emerge from the heavens. Travellers both intergalactic and inter-dimensional, these ultra-terrestrial beings who have been watching mankind for millennia seem to have decided to not sit idle while the technocalyptic cybergeddon is ravaging our planet.
