Due to complications from Tony Moore's emergency oral surgery, RIOT is disappointed to announce that they will not be able to appear with HAMMERFALL as previously scheduled.

A routine dental checkup discovered a deeply infected root canal, and the infection had spread to the jaw and surrounding teeth. The only option was immediate surgery to remove the tooth, as well as a portion of the infected bone tissue, and to perform a large graft with healthy bone from the surrounding area.

Says Tony: "During the initial examination, my doctor gave me a puzzled look and then asked the question that put fear in my heart: 'Are you in a lot of pain?' I was then informed that I would be if this procedure was not performed ASAP. After the surgery, I was made aware of the extent of the bone graft, and the risk of dislodging fragments of implanted bone should I resume normal activity too soon. I was put on a liquid diet and limited to bed rest for several days, then informed that because of the location of the surgery, singing was out of the question for four weeks. As I write this I still have stitches in my mouth and have to limit my physical activity. The recovery period essentially wiped out any hope of sufficient practice time for a Riot setlist, and full recovery takes four months before the tooth can be replaced. We discussed all the options we could think of, the last of which was to perform the final 10 dates of the engagement with minimal practice on my part. In then end, though, everyone agreed that going out with my voice at any less than 100% would have compromised a show for which some fans have been waiting many years. With heavy hearts we made the only viable decision; to withdraw from the tour."

After the cancellation of RIOT, the legendary VICIOUS RUMORS are now confirmed for the whole 7-week tour as special guest on HAMMERFALL's European Outbreak - Tour 2011 .

After the release of the highly acclaimed CD, Razorback Killers, on Steamhammer/SPV this year, Vicious Rumors has performed over 60 shows Including Summer Breeze Festival, Rock Hard Festival , Metalfest and many others. Hot from months of touring, Vicious Rumors will now join Hammerfall for 32 dates all over Europe from October 26th to December 10th.

Guitarist Geoff Thorpe comments: "We were happy to play 12 shows with Hammerfall but I can't tell you how excited we are to do the whole 7-week tour!! Its an honer for us to be invited. Every night will be a night to remember!!"

Mais Vicious Rumors en ce moment ça le fait comme remplacement

Je pense (espère) quand même que Riot sera de retour en europe en 2012.
Je passais sur le topic pour me décider pour Stuttgart Paris ou Pratteln selon les dates...
Sans Riot ca n'a plus de sens.

Ben du coup je regrette beaaaaaaaucoup moins de rater la date parisienne.

Aller hop, c'est partit

Death destruction (c'te nom ) un groupe de death core......je me suis fait chier comme un rat mort. Le seul truc que j'ai retenu c'est que le chanteur à demandé au public de faire un circle pit mais personne n'a bronché..... Curieusement, le groupe était plutôt composé de trentenaires/quarantenaires et pas de jeunots. C'était carré mais ce n'es vraiment pas ma tasse de sang.

Amaranthe : speed mélos ympho avec 3 chanteurs (un growleur, une chanteuse lyrique et un chanteur typique de speed mélo des 00'). plutôt une bonne surprise car les mélodies étaient bien trouvées et que c'était relativement entrainant et entêtant. Sympa mais sans plus.

Vicious Rumors : remplaçant de Riot au pieds levé, on sent que les les américains on envie d'en découdre! Les titres de la setlist,sont issus de l'éponyme, spiritual dictator, soldiers of the night, welcome to the ball et du petit dernier. Le groupe est carré de chez carré et le nouveau chanteur (Brian Allen) aux yeux révulsés fait vocalement penser au Halford de Painkiller en plus rugueux. Geoff Thorpe maltraite sa gratte à merveille. Petit bémol : le son un peu brouillon....dommage

j'ai réussi à choper Brian et Larry après le concert pour un moment déconnade/photo. Moment épique quand une de mes amis dit à Brian à plusieurs reprise "you're Handsome" au lieu de 'you're awesome" J'ai bien cru qu'elle allait y passer

Hammerfall : Franchement, je ne m'attendais pas à un tel accueil du public!! Assez incroyable. Le groupe en grande forme (un Joachim Cans impérial (au passage, le son est devenu miraculeusement bon...) Le groupe à pioché dans tout ses albums (hormis treshold) et met, bien entendu, en valeur le fort réussi "Infected". La setlist fait la part belle au gros classique (Hearts on fire, let the hammer fall, Blood bound, heading the call,any means necessery, steel meets steel) mais également au titres plus rare (glory to the brave, templar of the flame, dragon lies bleeding)

Bref, un excellent concert des templier malgré la chaleur étouffante du Bataclan.
