Oui, d'une part, mais à la limite ce serait pas le premier à ravaler sa fierté. Une occasion de prendre un peu d'argent est toujours bonne à prendre quand on a une carrière qui ne va pas fort. Mais ce n'est pas le cas de Friedman. Non seulement a priori ça ne l'intéresse pas, mais il a son petit business peinard au Japon, donc il a pas spécialement du pognon de Megadeth (surtout que niveau thunes, ce ne serait pas vraiment la même chose que s'il devait remplacer Kirk Hammett). Donc j'y crois pas non plus. Mais j'espère vivement avoir complètement tort

Lombardo serait prêt à rejoindre Mustaine si ce dernier l'appelle

A BLABBERMOUTH.NET vistor by the name of Philip L. has filed the following report:

"I have just returned from [former SLAYER and current PHILM drummer Dave] Lombardo's clinic in Geneva, Switzerland (on November 26), which was very impressive.

"During the autograph session, Dave made it clear that he was open to the possibility of joining MEGADETH if the invitation were extended to him.

"As Dave was signing my copy of FANTÔMAS' 'The Director's Cut', I mentioned that MEGADETH are in need of a new drummer as of yesterday. Lombardo looked up with a big smile and said, before a number of other fans (verbatim): 'I know. I just heard. Dave [Mustaine] has my number, so I'm waiting.' He looked up at us, grinned, and moved on to sign the next fan's item. He might have made this reply in jest, but if nothing more, this indicates that Lombardo is open to the possibility of replacing MEGADETH's Shawn Drover. He appeared genuinely interested in the opportunity.

"Lombardo stated during the clinic that he has touring plans with his new project, PHILM, in the immediate future, but he didn't mention this in his reply to me concerning the MEGADETH slot.

"If Dave Mustaine is interested and were to reach out to him, there are strong chances that Dave Lombardo would consider collaborating with MEGADETH, especially now that he is no longer a member of SLAYER.

Il revend du matos aux enchères. La dernière fois qu'il a fait ça il y a plus de 10 ans, il a mis fin au groupe.
Ça sent pas bon je trouve.

Pitrelli il est bien peinard avec TSO, donc ca m'etonnerait.

ça sent le roussi pour le rouquin...
En même temps, quand on ecoute/assiste aux derniers lives, on se dit que c'etait en pente douce....
Pour moi le dernier live fabuleux c'etait en 2009 à Milan. Ca commence à remonter.

Vu en 2009 a paris il on carrément mis une raclé a judas priest pourtant en TA ...

Je ne sais pas si vous avez lu dans les news mais le corps de la belle-mère de Mustaine a été retrouvé morte il y a quelques jours.
Elle était atteint d'Alzheimer.

According to CBS8.com, authorities have found the body of MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine's mother-in-law, 76-year-old Sally Estabrook, who was last seen at a campground near Julian, California on October 4.

Sheriff's deputies say someone called 911 after they discovered a female body in some heavy brush in Julian around 3:20 p.m. Wednesday, November 26.

Authorities say the clothing resembles what Estabrook was wearing when she went missing.

The remains were found at 200 block of Coulter Ridge Road, which is a half a mile from the Pinezanita Campground where she was last seen.

Sheriff's deputies say it doesn't appear there was any foul play.

Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an autopsy to try to determine the cause and manner of death.

Search-and-rescue teams from four counties and the U.S. Border Patrol and more than 300 volunteers took part in the search for Estabrook.

Speaking to the 101 KGB radio station in San Diego, Mustaine previously said about his mother-in-law's disappearance: "We live in Tennesse, and we have our house in California too, so we had just moved back to Tennessee and then we get this phone call [about Estabrook being missing]. And it's, like, 'Well, is she in the campsite and you're gonna find her in an hour?' 'Is she at a girlfriend's camper or something, or is she gone?' And she's just plain gone. They had bloodhounds, they had cadaver dogs, they had helicopters, motorcycles, ATVs… everybody."

He continued: "The other thing, too, is even the most terrible of convicts still has a mother, and when they're driving down the road and they see this old woman, the person could have pulled over and helped her and have a criminal past and they can't say anything. It could be somebody of Latino descent that is here without documentation and is afraid that they're gonna get deported. It could be a number of different things. We don't care what the situation is. Just help us find my wife's mom."

Asked if he was happy with the job that the search-and-rescue teams and law enforcement were doing, Mustaine said: "I am, actually. They have gone on longer than they were supposed to. They held off on the cadaver dogs and switching from rescue to recovery longer than they should have. Even the pilots that were flying the helicopters, they've got a routine that they have to do over the city, and they were all flying back out to the site. They covered 60 square miles with the helicopter. There is no way she went that far."

Mustaine said that Estabrook was in the "severe" stage of Alzheimer's disease and "couldn't put three words together." He added: "That's the thing that is of comfort to us, because we do know that at some point she's gonna go in Heaven, but we don't want it to happen now, for Christ's sakes."

Estabrook is 5 feet 4 inches tall, about 145 pounds with shoulder-length, blond hair. She was last seen wearing a teal top and white, Capri pants.

Bah, c'est juste un journaliste qui lui a posé la question et il a dit que si Mustaine l’appelez il irait. Mais pour l'instant rien du coté de Mustaine, qui a d'autre soucis en ce moment (voir la news au sujet du décès de sa belle mère)...

A part Broderick, personne passait correctement le solo de tornado Of Souls, et ce n'est qu'un exemple parmi tant d'autres pour les line-up post-RIP.

Oui depuis le Youthanasia tour de 95, et plusieurs fois pour chaque formation depuis. D'où ma remarque precedente insinuant qu'il faut pas trop raconter de conneries

En passant l'emission Rock Express de 95, avec justement des extraits de ce concert fantabuleux au Zenith. Son pas top mais l'ambiance, mes amis, l'ambiance...

Non, ce n'était pas un journaliste, c'était un fan pendant une séance de dédicaces, et Lombardo AURAIT dit (et on ne sait pas sur quel ton !) "Dave Mustaine a mon numéro, j'attends". Voilà comment à partir de rien on fabrique une rumeur

Et pas seulement sur scène....
Je veux dire, le line up RIP est le line up des meilleurs albums studios.
Sans la trilogie, Megadeth serait tout au plus un groupe de thrash de troisième zone.
Alors ouais on peut me raconter que Peace sells est au dessus que n'importe quel Metallica, que ça vaut pas la reformation de Attacker à je sais pas quel festival ....il n'empêche que voilà.
A partir des albums suivants, Mustaine a repris le navire tout seul persuadé que Megadeth c'est "lui tout seul".
Sauf que voilà, niveau inspiration c'est quand même bien moisi. Y a bien eu des trucs ça et là de correct mais voilà.
Le grand Megadeth c'est Mustaine Freedman Ellefson et Menza.
Après c'est Mustaine qui "joue du Megadeth" avec d'autres très bons musiciens.
Mais pour moi, le groupe, c'est mort depuis bien longtemps.
