Imagines le retour de Pete, de Richard et de... A non, pas possible, il vient d'être viré. En vrai j'ai tellement la flemme de parler de Morbid là... Quoi qu'il en soit, je les verrais sûrement pour la prochaine tournée, pour la 5 eme fois en 10 ans (espérons). Ça ça ne change pas.

Ouais mais le problème c'est que Pete ayant "trouvé Dieu" refuse de jouer tout un temps de chanson de Morbid donc c'est pas franchement envisageable

Non bien sur je dis ça.... Morbid Angel à changé ma vie. Point. Après tous les trucs. Je préfère m'en foutre. Et puis voila, les albums sont là. Dans le fond Tucker j'en m'en bat les couilles aussi. Mais voilà. Trop de bordel médiatique pour si peu...

Comme pour beaucoup de groupes de Metal, les jours de gloire sont passés.

je pensais que dans morbid il ne restait plus que David Vincent ? Vu que TIm yeung est parti, destrusctor est parti et qu'enfin je crois que Trey est parti aussi mais sa devient tellement compliqué leur histoire qu'on y comprend pu rien.

Oh putain! N'empêche qu'il s'en sort pas trop mal au final. Il a toujours la classe sur scène même si ça fait bizzare de le voir dans ce contexte là, sans sa grosse basse.
Je suis vraiment deçu que cette reformation avec MA n'ait pas porté ses fruits. Il y avait sûrement de quoi sortir un bel album...
Au moins, j'aurais eu l'occasion de les voir sur scène à plusieurs reprises (dont une fois avec Covenant en entier )

Sinon, plus trop de nouvelles de la part de Trey et Tucker, je suis curieux de savoir qui ils vont recruter comme batteur et deuxième guitariste. (Peut-être un retour d'Erik Rutan?? )

Le batteur de ANNIHILATED joue sur le nouvel album, mais rien ne dit s'il est intégré officiellement au groupe.

Death metal veterans MORBID ANGEL have recruited Scott Fuller (ANNIHILATED) to play drums on their new album. The disc is currently being recorded at Mana Recording in St. Petersburg, Florida with producer — and former MORBID ANGEL guitarist — Erik Rutan for a mid-2017 release via UDR Music.

MORBID ANGEL guitarist Trey Azagthoth (pictured) wrote on Facebook: "We have all the drums recorded for the new record, and will soon start on the guitars, vocals and bass.

"It has been awesome working with Erik Rutan and Mana Studios.

"We have a really cool collection of new material. There are also lots of touring plans for this new year so we hope to see you all on the road!!!!"

Sur leur tournée US qui va commencer dans quelques jours, le groupe ne jouera aucun titre de l'époque David Vincent. Il n'y aura donc que des morceaux de Formulas Fatal to the Flesh, Gateways to Annihilation et Heretic, ainsi qu'un ou deux nouveaux morceaux du prochain album.

The setlist for MORBID ANGEL's upcoming tour will not include any material from the David Vincent era of the band, it has been revealed. Speaking to Orlando Weekly, MORBID ANGEL's current frontman, Steve Tucker, who is back for his third spell with the group, was asked if the trek — which kicks off on May 23 in Orlando, Florida — will see the band performing any songs from its recently completed new studio album. "Probably one or two new songs; the album's almost done, but we don't want to put out too much with YouTube putting it up the next day," Tucker explained. "The setlist will be different, too — in the past, we've covered all of MORBID ANGEL's discography, but this time we went with the discography between Trey [Azagthoth, guitar] and I. I'm really excited about the fact that every song we play is a song I was a part of. There are some MORBID ANGEL classics that aren't there, but we made our own classics."

MORBID ANGEL's new disc was recorded at Mana Recording in St. Petersburg, Florida with producer — and former MORBID ANGEL guitarist — Erik Rutan. Tentatively due in the fall via UDR Music, the LP will mark the band's first release with drummer Scott Fuller (ANNIHILATED, ex-ABYSMAL DAWN) who joined MORBID ANGEL last year following the departure of Tim Yeung. It will also be MORBID ANGEL's first album to feature Tucker since 2003's "Heretic".

Tucker told "The Metal Magdalene With Jet" show about MORBID ANGEL's approach on the upcoming album: "It was really just about writing music — it was just about writing a MORBID ANGEL album. Nobody said, 'Hey, we wanna go in this direction,' nobody said anything. I mean, there's obvious things there. I've said it before — I'm a death metal guy, so, for me, it's gonna be a death metal album; if I'm on it, it's death metal. So it was just about making a MORBID ANGEL album. It was really about coming in with something new, something fresh, but yet it still being MORBID ANGEL. Really, honestly, we didn't approach this any differently than any of the other albums I was involved in except for maybe [1998's] 'Formulas Fatal To The Flesh', which 'Formulas', Trey wrote all the music, all the lyrics and things like that. But this was done more similar to maybe [2000's] 'Gateways To Annihilation', where everybody had their contribution. Trey wrote a bunch of songs, I wrote songs, Scotty contributed some ideas. There was a lot of back-and-forth. In the end, it has to become a MORBID ANGEL song. And at this point, I feel that it's very much a MORBID ANGEL album."

MORBID ANGEL in January announced the addition of Dan Vadim Von (guitarist/frontman of the American death metal band VADIMVON) to the band's lineup on second guitar. He joined the group as the replacement for Norwegian guitarist Destructhor (a.k.a. Thor Anders Myhren), who left the band a year and a half ago.

MORBID ANGEL's first U.S. tour of 2017 will feature support from SUFFOCATION, REVOCATION and WITHERED.

The tour will commence in Orlando at the Beachum and continue around the country until June 27, in New Orleans at the House Of Blues.

Former MORBID ANGEL frontman David Vincent recently joined forces with several other musicians — including Yeung (drums) — to perform classic MORBID ANGEL songs under the I AM MORBID banner.

MORBID ANGEL's controversial 2011 album, "Illud Divinum Insanus", marked the group's first CD to feature Vincent since "Domination".

C'est une initiative interessante mais peut-être un peu trop poussee a l'extreme a mon goût. C'est une tres bonne idee d'exhumer les titres de l'ere Tucker qui ont ete negliges pendant les dernieres tournees mais de la a tirer une croix sur les 4 premiers albums

Je pense a Maiden en 2010 qui avait fait un set base essentiellement sur les albums post 2000, mais même eux avaient reussi a trouver un compromis en balancant quelques classiques ici et la.

Pfff ouais là c'est un peu 'too much' quand-même. Après on verra le résultat, mais le risque d'avoir un goût de trop peu en raison de l'absence de grands classiques est quand-même bien là

Peut-être que l'inevitable comparaison entre MA et le projet de David Vincent les a pousse a partir sur autre chose. M'enfin bon, le groupe ne s'est pas produit en live depuis 2014 et les revirement de line up donc, au contraire,je pense qu'ils devraient peut être essaye de rassurer les fans qu'ils arrivent encore a tout demonter en balancant quelques classiques. Mais ce n'est que mon avis.

j'aime bien F et G mais bon ca manque de classique c'est un peu comme UDO qui a la fin de la tournee accept ne devra plus jouer d'Accept après.

Perso, c'est sa grosse voix charismatique quand entre les morceaux il tient ce genre de phrases "on est tous des frères de metal de le brotherhood of metal", ça me fait des guiliguili dans le slip.
