je vais passé pour un fou mais j'ai hate de ce prochain album ou je suis persuadé qu'il vont faire voir qu'il sont encore Metallica et pour ma part j'ai jamais etait déçu du groupe

Je reste persuadé que METALLICA est encore capable de faire un bon album. St Anger était sur la bonne voie. après tout est question de goût.

New METALLICA Album Pushed Back To September? - Jan. 22, 2008

Stereo Warning reports that the release of METALLICA's new album has been delayed again, according to the band's record label. The band's ninth studio CD is now expected to hit the stores in September. Originally METALLICA drummer Lars Ulrich said it would be out in February, then the release was pushed back to April.

Ulrich recently spoke with Revolver magazine about the band's upcoming LP, which will be its first all-new effort since 2003's "St. Anger". Ulrich told the magazine that the group's new material "is certainly a lot more dynamic and a lot more varied than the last couple of go-rounds," adding, "There's a lot of light and shade in these songs. There's heavy, fast, nutty stuff, and then there's some slowdowns and musical interludes." Ulrich also said that the album has more in common with some of the group's '80s releases than more recent offerings like "St. Anger" and "Load".

Ulrich wouldn't agree that the yet-to-be-titled disc is a full-blown return to the past, saying, "I hate to be that specific, because six months from now people are gonna go, 'What the fuck? Lars lied to us!' But it feels that way to me."

The drummer also revealed that producer Rick Rubin, working with the band for the first time, wanted METALLICA to use classic efforts like "Ride the Lightning" and "Master of Puppets" as "reference points" for its new songs

non je ne pense pas, saint anger avait son coté retour au source

Question de point de vue, moi je trouve au contraire que c'était du grand n'importe quoi, cet album n'a rien d'un retour au speed thrash metal qu'ils pratiquaient au début, c'est un album poubelle composé et enregistré dans un garage en deux semaines, et l'histoire du son cru c'était pour faire style on revient en arrière, la louze quand on sait les moyens qu'ils ont pour faire un vrai son, tout ca histoire de récupérer de la thune pour picoler. Une vraie honte. J'espère que Rubin va leur foutre des coups de pied au cul pour qu'ils sortent un vrai skeud, mais j'ai peu d'espoir.

Non pas du tout. Personnellement je pense que ST ANGER est un bon album mais que cet avis n'engage que moi. Chacun est libre de penser ce qu'il veut.

ST.Anger est un bon album. Pas un album extraordinaire mais on sent le travail sur les riffs de guitares. Le gros problèmes de cet album sont la longueur des titres, la production étrange et aussi le fait que le groupe n'était plus vraiment un groupe à cette période.

C'est encourageant pour l'avenir maintenant qu'ils sont 4 et que la joie est revenue. Le prochain sera meilleur car il sera plus cohérent mais St.Anger étant encourageant aussi selon moi.

Difficile d'expliquer mais St.Anger n'est pas un cas de 1/5 pour moi

bah c'est une chanson déja connu d'une manière pour ceux qui possèdent des boots, je tiens a précisé qu'elle ne fera pas partie du futur album mais le prochain s'en inspire

Ce morceau date de 2006 et ils ont clairement dit que "The new song" et "The other new song" ne feront pas parti de l'album.

C'est clair que mettre un truc aussi mauvais sur galette ça serait du gâchis

Etant donné que Lars parle d'un album retour aux sources on peut déjà imaginer le titre :

Load and Re-load your St anger to Kill and Ride the Black Master of Justice and SM in the Garage.

En fait "the other new song" s'appelle "vulturus" et ils disent ici que ce serait un nom possible pour le prochain album
