What can fans expect from Judas Priest in 2009, a similar show to the one they have been touring with around the world this year?
“It’ll be more or less the same,” says Glenn. “We’ll probably change a couple of numbers but it’ll be more or less the same, because this is quite a different set for us. We’ve brought a couple of ‘new old songs’ back like 'Devil’s Child', 'Hell Patrol', 'Dissident Aggressor' and 'The Sinner' and we’ve still got a lot of the classic songs such as 'Painkiller' and 'Hell Bent For Leather'. We’ve also injected some Nostradamus in there. We open with 'Dawn Of Creation' which is the intro tape and we play Prophesy and we do a track called Death, so we’re introducing people to Nostradamus slowly and that’s the way we’ve always done it when we have a new album. Three tracks is enough while we wait for people to really get to know it.”
There has been talk that Priest might at some point perform the whole two hours-plus of Nostradamus in concert.
“We’d like to do that,” says Glenn. “Our intention right from day one when we started to compose it was at some point in the future to play it in its entirety in special venues around the world and that’s something we’ve still got in mind, something we really want to do. It’ll either be late 2009 or 2010.”
Where did the tour name Priest Feast came from?
“We just thought it had got a nice ring to it,” he says. “We’d just done the Metal Masters tour in the States and we had Heaven and Hell on the go with us and Motorhead and Testament and we just felt it’s great to get a classic metal bill and the audience is united and unified. It really worked in the States so we thought we’d do the same in Europe.”

Help us give Glen Drover a very warm welcome!!!
------
Bay Area thrash legends TESTAMENT have recruited guitarist Glen Drover (ex-MEGADETH, KING DIAMOND) to fill in for Alex Skolnick on their upcoming Mexican tour dates with JUDAS PRIEST.
Due to Alex's prior commitment to the TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA, the band sought out Glen Drover to fill in. The band rehearsed together all week and sounds sharper than ever!
Glen says, "I am really looking forward to playing these four upcoming shows in Mexico with my buddies in TESTAMENT, along with JUDAS PRIEST. We are totally going to crush!"
Alex Skolnick commented on his (temporary) replacement: "I regret that I'll be unable to perform at TESTAMENT's upcoming shows in Mexico this month. As many know, I've been touring with TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA since 2000, and it's been a blessing to be a part of both projects since reuniting with TESTAMENT in '05. I respect the TESTAMENT guys' decision to accept some gigs during this period, and I'm super happy to have Glen Drover filling in for me. I recommended him personally, respect his playing and know he'll do a great job. I apologize to any TESTAMENT fans for not being able to make it this time around but we have a lot of shows lined up in 2009 so far, all of which I'm on. Thanks for understanding, and I look forward to seeing everyone all over the world with TESTAMENT in 2009!"
Guitarist Eric Peterson commented: "I've known Glen since he played with KING DIAMOND, and if anyone can jump in, Glen can. Plus, Alex is happy with our choice."
TESTAMENT will be traveling to Mexico this week to play a string of dates with JUDAS PRIEST. See below for tour dates. The band is coming off a successful headlining run with SOILENT GREEN, to support their first studio album in nine years, "The Formation of Damnation".
L'intérêt est pour les 3!! J'adore les 3 groupes ... putain quand j'y pense quand même : Priest, Megadeth et Testament sur une même affiche!Chacal a écrit :![]()
