Bon je veux pas être méchant parce que c'est improvisé et dans le cadre d'un hommage.
Mais quand même je me demande si Hetfield est capable une fois dans sa vie de chanter autre chose que du Metallica ...

J'aime bien aussi quand Kirk Hammet chante (enfin essaie ) "Heaven and Hell" Notamment quand Kirk oublie le mot "taker" dans "you're a taker", regarde les autres et le remplace finalement par "baker" (boulanger)
Mais c'est bon esprit c'est clair.

Allez un autre, un artiste finlandais apparemment très connu là-bas, qui fait une version acoustique sympa de "Holy Diver" :

N'empêche... quand on voit le niveau... bah ça me fait décomplexer A MORT sur mes premiers essais en groupe où justement on tentait de reprendre du metallica... Et ces mecs là ont presque 30 ans de carrière et ont vendu des millions de disque?


Pauvre Dio... enfin, c'est l'intention qui compte.

Hetfield, à l'instar de Mustaine, n'a jamais été un grand chanteur, et certainement pas un chanteur à voix. Et dans le style ca m'a toujours convenu

Ozzy Osbourne has expressed his sadness over the death of Ronnie James Dio, the man that replaced him in BLACK SABBATH in 1980.

On Monday (May 17), Osbourne released the following statement:

"I was very saddened to hear of the passing of Ronnie James Dio. Metal has truly lost one of its greatest voices. My heart goes out to his family and to his many fans."

Vocalist Blade of the Swedish hard rock band FATAL SMILE has issued the following update:

"Two days ago Y [guitar] sent me a piano ballad he wrote while saddaned by the horrile tradegy of Ronnie's [James Dio] passing due to cancer. That night I wrote the lyrics and melody to the song 'For The Last In Line'.

"We decided to have it recorded and released in the name of Ronnie's new fund, Ronnie James Dio Stand Up And Shout Cancer Fund. In the morning we recorded it and today it was mastered and released. iTunes and all other sites will follow.

"We have decided not to release the full version on Spotify, but it can be heard on YouTube as of tonight!

"I guess it's some kind of record, getting a song released a day after it's written...

"Ronnie James Dio Stand Up And Shout Cancer Fund is registered as owner of this song, and gets 100% of all sales!

"Buy it to support his cause, the fight against cancer."

"Dio has always been my favorite heavy-metal vocalist. Not just for his musical chops but also for the passion he poured into every performance. His use of beautifully haunting melodies leading to volcanic eruptions of raw rock power led to some of the great anthems of the genre.

When Dio, who died May 16 at 67, performed live, he would stalk the stage like a dragon slayer. His commitment and theatricality were spellbinding. As a teenager I was profoundly moved by the life-affirming fire of his songs. They were filled with glory. They made me want to climb mountains and battle demons.

To listen to Dio is to be transported to an ancient time of mystery and joy. His songs were an escape for millions of kids looking for release from the usual bull found on the FM dial.

I had a chance to work with him, and he was about as cool a person as you could hope to meet. He was generous and soft-spoken, humble and serene, and had a tremendous sense of humor.

rien a voir, mais j'ai decouvert Y&T au raismesfest , et j avais pris une bonne claque

Il faut savoir que cette chanson a été écrite avant même que Dio soit atteint par la maladie (ou ne l'apprenne en tout cas). Je pense que c'est un bel hommage, la chanson est sympa, le début en clair est vibrant.

2 concerts hommage (Londres et Los Angeles) pourraient avoir lieu avec les membres de Black Sabbath / Heaven & Hell, certaines rumeurs disent qu'Halford serait pressenti pour les accompagner. J'espère que d'autres proches de Dio et toute la clique de Sabbath et Rainbow seront de la partie, histoire de faire un digne évènement comme ce fut le cas après la mort de Freddie Mercury.

A suivre donc, pour l'instant ce n'est qu'au stade de la rumeur.

According to U.K.'s Classic Rock magazine, two major concerts are being planned to celebrate the life of the late Ronnie James Dio.

The gigs — dubbed Ronnie James Dio "Stand Up And Shout" Memorial Concerts — will take place in London and Los Angeles in the fall.

Although no official details have yet been revealed, there is speculation that the shows will feature the surviving members of HEAVEN & HELL — Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Vinny Appice — with JUDAS PRIEST's Rob Halford filling in for Dio on vocals. However, it should be stressed that this information has not yet been corroborated by an official source and should be treated as a rumor only.

Bon comme prévu, ces fanatiques écervelés était de la partie. Heureusement, ils n'étaient pas très nombreux.


Par contre, ce que je trouve assez marrant c'est que plusieurs métalleux se sont foutus de leurs gueules en organisant une ''counter protest''.
