The Russian ENSIFERUM fan club has given the band a gift of astronomical proportions, as on their request the Russian International Star Catalogue Space Earth has denominated a star in the Ursa Major constellation after the Finnish metal band.

The star is located in:

Ascension [RA] 16 00 19.14
Declination [Dec] +66 52 06.1

It was denominated ENSIFERUM on March 19, 2007 by pilot-cosmonaut Gerrman Titov.

Sinon oui le nouveau single donne à danser. Le concert de Londres était énorme, mon report est présent dans la partie "Hell On Stage" (photos à l'appui).

Leur 4ème album devrait sortir le 09/09/2009.

Finnish folk metallers ENSIFERUM have issued the following update:

"As you might know, ENSIFERUM started recording [our] fourth album on April 13. Album is recorded/produced by Tero Kinnunen (NIGHTWISH, AMORPHIS) and Janne Joutsenniemi ('Victory Songs' producer). Album will be mixed by Hiili Hiilesmaa (HIM, SENTENCED, AMORPHIS).

"As usual, there will be lot of session folk musicians but there will also be some surprises. We will update track list later but we can reveal that there will be seven songs plus intro and a cover song featuring a very special guest. Album will be released 9.9.09 [September 9, 2009] and after that band will start tour which will reach lands near, far and beyond."

Ecouté sur Deezer. La vache, ils ont mis le paquet sur les orchestrations

Dans l'ensemble j'accroche bien, j'ai un ou deux refrains en tête, genre celui de "stone cold metal", je suis pas un spécialiste du groupe mais je pense que cet album est largement à la hauteur des espérances

bon bah, il est pas mal du tout cet album, il s'écoute avec plaisir. Seul reproche, il a quelques longueurs (surtout le dernier titre de 12 min.)
