Ozzy Osbourne wasn't in Hollywood last night (Monday, August 22) for the premiere and special MusiCares screening of his movie, "God Bless Ozzy Osbourne", which was filmed and produced by his son Jack. His absence was conspicuous and lends credence to the rumors that Ozzy is in England working on material for a new BLACK SABBATH album with other members of the band's original lineup.

Artisan News asked Ozzy's daughter Kelly at last night's event where her dad was and she sort of let the cat out of the bag while her brother was better able to keep the secret.

"My dad is… I don't know if I'm allowed to tell you," Kelly said. "But he's doing something that is very, very exciting. He's just finished a tour. But he's doing something very exciting. I'm not allowed to talk about it, though."

When asked if there is any truth to the reports that Ozzy is in England working on a new SABBATH album, Jack replied, "I can neither confirm nor deny who he is with or where he is."

"At the moment we're in talks about it. But what's going to happen with it, I don't know. There's no definite decision on anything at the moment, but at least it's going. We're talking, we're all talking to each other. We've met up, had a play [rehearsal], and it was great."

Iommi adds: "We haven't announced anything yet, because nothing's definite. We're taking it steady, because these things have a tendency to backfire. 'Oh, you said you were getting back together, but you haven't.' So I don't know. We'll have to see. It would be nice to think we could, and I think we would all like to do it, but it's a bit more involved than that."

Q: I remember reading earlier this year that the original Black Sabbath lin-up was reuniting for a new album and tour. What's the status?

A: "I remember reading that, as well [laughs]. There is no status at the moment. That's something that always can happen. We just get on with it and see what happens."

Q: Are all the original Sabbath members on good terms?

A: "Yes, I think so. I talk to Ozzy a lot – we've always been in contact. And I talk to Bill occasionally. Geez, I played with him until Ronnie [James Dio] passed away. We still stay in contact. Geezer is not one for being on the phone, we normally email. We all get on well – I don't think there's any bad vibes or anything."

Q: When was the last time all four original Sabbath members were in the same room?

A: "A long time ago."

Q: If Sabbath were to work on a new album, do you think the new material could measure up to the group's early classics?

A: "I don't know – that's always the question, isn’t it? But I don't know if you'd try and match it up. We've moved on since then. I don't know quite what we'd be doing. It would be a Black Sabbath thing, but I don't know to what extent. Until that's written and done, I wouldn't know."

Q: What would it take then for the original Sabbath to reunite?

A: "The band can decide to do something, but there are a lot of people involved, and everybody's got individual managers. It's not as easy as like it was in the old days – us all going in one room and it all works. I mean, we can certainly do that, but it's a bit more involved than that."

Quand je vois le massacre avec The Devil you Know alors que merde, y avait de quoi pondre une tuerie, et les derniers albums d'OZZY, je préfère économiser mes sous pour une éventuelle date par chez nous

THE DEVIL YOU KNOW est certainement un des tout meilleur album de dark heavy Metal de toutes ces dernieres années ! Du pur BLACK SABBATH à la sauce Dio ! toute la quintescence de ce que ces 4 la savaient faire entre eux... c'est une tuerie cet opus !
Trop ... elitiste pour les newbies non ?
