Ah ouais sympa!

C'est vrai qu'ils ont l'habitude de faire 1h15-1h20 max normalement à part sur une tournée en 2010 il me semble (celle avec Hatebreed), la seule vraie tournée en tête d'affiche pour The Blackening, où ils avaient déjà un set à rallonge avec la setlist qui tournaient chaque soir. Ça m'avait permis de "Block" en live, malheureusement trop souvent absente de la majorité des concerts récents.

Par contre, ils sont courageux de jouer "From This Day".

Un bel effort !

Vu hier à Pratteln. 2h30 de show, une setlist qui varie d'un concert à l'autre (hier par exemple "a farewell to arms" plus joué depuis 2010). Gros show !

2h30 ! Ah ouais quand-même. J'espère qu'ils continueront avec d'autres dates l'année prochaine...

MACHINE HEAD ANNOUNCE EUROPEAN HEADLINE TOUR

Bay Area Metal Titans MACHINE HEAD will headline an exclusive tour starting this February, billed as “An Evening With MACHINE HEAD” spanning across mainland Europe and the U.K! No support bands, no locals, just 2 hours of bone-crunching metal anthems, deep album cuts, sing-a-longs, haunting atmospheric pieces, and pure fucking MACHINE HEAD!!!

"We’re doing ‘An Evening With’ MACHINE HEAD. Meaning: it’ll just be us, folks,”commented guitarist/vocalist Robb Flynn. “We are really excited about playing longer sets, throwing in some deep cuts, and just having it be our own world. We did this in the U.S. and eastern Europe recently and it’s done amazingly well. Fans seem to really love the "Evening With…" format for a band like us who has a long-standing and diverse catalog. While the sets vary from night to night, there were a couple nights on the last run where we reached the 2 hour and 40 minute mark. It was crazy! We could have played all night, the crowd was so insane!!”

In regards to the band’s decision to only headline their own shows throughout the Bloodstone & Diamonds touring cycle, as well as no longer play festival slots, Flynn elaborates: "We’re not trying to have a good time with a bunch of people who don’t know who we are. If MACHINE HEAD throws a party, big or small, we don’t want a bunch of ‘strangers’ there. This is about us and you guys, the die-hards, the Head Cases, The Fucking Undesirables! We don’t care about the others out there. We’re here and we’re not going anywhere. If those people want to be a part of this, they know where to find us. So for the time being, and maybe ‘forever’, we’re done reaching out for them."

Tickets and VIP packages go on sale at 10am CEST this Friday October 16th.

Du coup peut être que j'irai cette fois-ci. ça fait très longtemps ...

1000 places vendu en 3h pour Lille sur les 2000 places que peut contenir la salle !

Perso, j'aurais un petit peu honte d'être lillois.

Et pourquoi donc ?

Je vais peut-être éviter d'être redondant,et de dire tout ce que je pense de Machine Head(et de la majorité de ses fans), car je l'ai déjà fait maintes et maintes fois par le passé.

Toutefois, si tu es vraiment très curieux, sache que je n'en pense pas QUE du bien. Très loin de là, même.

Finalement avec cette tournée je l'ai aurai vu plus que si ils avaient fait les festivals, car mardi soir ce sera pour la 4ème fois sur cette tournée uniquement.
En tout cas ça fait plaisir de les voir dans des petites salles, avant qu'ils repartent en tête d'affiche de tous les festivals européens.

Je vais peut-être faire Bordeaux pour la St-Valentin

L'année dernière (le 14/02/2015) j'ai récupéré la setlist de Crowbar qui jouait en TA du Ieper Winterfest. Il y avait des petits coeurs et un gros bisou de la nana de Kirk dessus

je me suis fait peur aujourd'hui. Les différents réseau de billetterie indiquait complet à bordeaux, heureusement il reste quelque place sur france billet.

J'aurai pas cru que ça finirait complet.
D'un autre coté tant mieux que les concerts de metal attirent autant de monde en ce moment.
Va falloir anticiper et ne plus attendre la dernière minute pour les prochains

"For me, I don’t get any enjoyment out of going to multi-multi-band gig or festival. I don’t want to watch bands play for 25 minutes in a fucking parking lot with the sun shining right in their faces. Even the presentation is questionable. The band is playing on some crummy stage with a Hot Topic logo bigger than the bands backdrop all the while the fucking wind blows the sound on that terribly under-powered PA everywhere.

But I’m the type of guy that doesn’t like going to the Chinese buffet either, for the same reason. A bunch of "ok” for cheap, ain’t for me.

And how did it get to that? That THAT is what we want for metal? Are we so conditioned to it now it seems normal? Have you heard about the new Forum in LA? It has a state of the art sound system, cutting edge light system and was built specifically for modern music concerts. It’s supposed to be the best live experience you’ll ever have, and that’s what metal bands should be striving for!! Not parking lots, and Jägermeister stages in the sun! "

Je reste persuadé qu'un jour (même si lointain) un fest leur proposera un paquet de pognon pour une date exclu et que Flynn reviendra sur ses propos...
