Twisted Sister vont sortir un disque... de chansons de Noël

Y'a mieux pour cloturer une discographie, m'enfin...
TWISTED SISTER manager Daniel Stanton of Coallier Entertainment has sent the following statement to BLABBERMOUTH.NET:
"TWISTED SISTER has signed with American record label Razor & Tie for the purpose of releasing a final CD. The CD will be a Christmas album of standards done in an all-heavy metal format. Due to release date commitments, the band had to cancel several shows this summer, including two in England on June 27th [London Hammersmith Apollo] and 28th [Nottingham Rock City] and turn down four high-profile festivals in Europe. The planned release date will be in mid-October. The title, track listing and support dates will be announced by the end of the summer."

moi je dis bide en vue ouaip, ça va rien vendre ce truc, c'est un produit typique US et comme ils sont plus grand chose là bas...
tiens d'ailleurs Twisted a annulé son concert à Londres (Faute de prévente d'après les rumeurs)

C'est terrible, j'adore. Brian Setzer a fait deux disques chants de noels version rockabilly (Santa Drives a Hot-rod est d'enfer) et je salive d'avance à l'idée d'entendre ces classiques vertueux laissés sans dessus dessous par les guignols de TS. Je ne dis pas que j'achèterai ça les yeux fermés, mais je ne manquerai pas de l'écouter avec la franche envie de m'éclater.

ça me rappelle un cd sorti "X Mas project" il y environ 18 ans avec des membres de Rage, Living death, Mekong delta... ou étaient joué des chants de noel a la sauce speed / thrash.

Du moment que Sonata caca et Lucas fait pipi ne nous font un album de chant de noel a la sauce bontempi

Excellent album d'ailleurs ! Je ne sais pas qui mieux que Onkel Tom pouvait aussi bien réussir à retranscrire l'esprit de Noël !

A MAIDEN version of 'White Christmas', THIN LIZZY, a JUDAS PRIEST 'I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus'. It rocks. Me and Lita Ford did a duet, power ballad-style, on 'I'll Be Home On Christmas'; it came out incredible and the record's gonna be coming out in October [via Razor & Tie Records] — it'll be in stores."

Ouais ya aussi Blackmore's Night qui a fait des chants de Noël, avec Black-tronchard !!!
Boudiou, j'espère qu'ils vont pas tous s'y mettre !! Imaginez que le prochain album de W.A.S.P. ce soit que des reprises de chants de Noël à la sauce Blackie !!! "Chainsaw Santa Claus" !!

Et un album avec des nouvelles compos ? ca serait pas une bonne idée ? Il me semble qu'avec les morceaux bonus qui figurent sur "still hungry" aurait pu proposer un nouvel album sympathique.
Je veux mon concert a Paris, je suis sûr que TS remplirais l'Elysée montmartre sans problème ou même un petit bataclan ou voir une cigale.

Si vous voulez entendre leur version de "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus"...
J'ai écouté la chanson et ça donne vraiment le goût de l'acheter. Pendant que tout ces Québecois vont se faire chier à écouter les chansons de Noël à la radio pendant 3 mois, moi je vais me faire aller la tête sur Twisted Sister

Dee Snider déclare qu'il veut raccrocher l'an prochain :
Having regrouped in 2001 after a 14-year hiatus, TWISTED SISTER's ongoing existence is unclear, according to Snider.
"I've told the guys that I'm done [after 2006]," he says. "I've got a lot of things plaguing me. I really resented the older bands that would not know when to get off the f*ckin' stage. I want to get out of the way and let [younger bands] have their chance in the spotlight. Am I saying I'll never do anything ever again? No. But am I serious that I want it to end? Yes. Not because anything's wrong, but because everything's right, so I want it to end while everything's right."

Finalement Snider a changé d'avis (ou la maison de disque l'a aidé dans ce sens ) et ça ne devrait pas être la dernière sortie des SMFs :
In conversation with BW&BK today (October 28), TWISTED SISTER frontman Dee Snider EXCLUSIVELY revealed that Twisted Christmas (out now via Razor & Tie Records) will NOT be the farewell album for the band. That was the original plan, but the band has changed it's mind and there will be more new albums and there are thoughts about making Twisted Christmas II for next year. As well, he mentioned that a DVD of all their videos will be out in 2007 and a live show DVD from the '80's will also come out next year. Watch for BW&BK's chat with Dee Snider online soon and in BW&BK #101, out in late November!

l'album est pas mal, un peu poussif mais bon bien festif.
A quand un vrai album avec des nouvelles compo genre bonus sur Still Hungry la ca dechirais.
J'ai pas trouvé la voix de Lita ford exceptionnelle par contre

Décus egalement au debut.
ça va mieux maintenant. A noter que cette "reprise" qui sonne comme we aint gonna take it n'est pas representative : sur les autres titres la ressemblance avec des chansons de metal est moins flagrante et donc moins genante.
Quand au vrai inedit de l'album, "heavy metal christmas" (chanson de twisted de 2006) elle est tres marrante (la liste de noel du metalleux de base... )
