According to a flyer that was handed out at HEAVEN AND HELL's concert at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Sunday night (March 11), a HEAVEN AND HELL live CD/DVD is being planned for release in the fall. No further details are currently available.
HEAVEN AND HELL — which is made up of BLACK SABBATH guitarist Tony Iommi and bassist Geezer Butler, singer Ronnie James Dio, and drummer Vinny Appice (BLACK SABBATH, DIO) — will wrap its Canadian tour on March 28 in Ottawa, featuring opening acts MEGADETH and DOWN. A U.S. trek with support from MEGADETH and MACHINE HEAD will launch April 22 in Phoenix, Arizona.

According to the flyer that came with the BLACK SABBATH "Live At Hammersmith Odeon" limited-edition CD which is currently being shipped via Rhino Handmade (the official release date is May 1), Rhino has set an August 28 release date for the HEAVEN AND HELL "Live from Radio City Music Hall" DVD and two-CD set. [View the flyer at this location.] As the title implies, both the DVD and CD packages will include HEAVEN AND HELL's (the band featuring BLACK SABBATH guitarist Tony Iommi and bassist Geezer Butler, singer Ronnie James Dio, and drummer Vinny Appice) performance on March 30, 2007 at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City. LOS ANGELES — Fans lucky enough to score tickets to Heaven And Hell’s Radio City Music Hall performance on March 30—the concert sold out in a matter of minutes—were fortunate witnesses to the glorious return of Ronnie James Dio, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Vinny Appice. Onstage in the U.S. for the first time in 15 years, the group let loose an onslaught of iconic metal spotlighting Dio’s memorable tenure with Black Sabbath. Rhino relives every bone-crushing riff and thunderous howl from the evening with a trio of releases available August 28. HEAVEN AND HELL LIVE FROM RADIO CITY MUSIC HALL will be available at regular retail outlets both as a two-disc CD set and as a DVD for a suggested list price of $19.98 and $19.99 respectively.
Available exclusively from http://www.rhino.com, the concert will also be released as a deluxe three-disc set (2CD/DVD) for a suggested list price of $49.98. The special set features tour memorabilia including a tour program, backstage laminate, glossy photos of the band and other tour items.
LIVE FROM RADIO CITY MUSIC HALL captures the band bashing its way through some of the Dio era’s best including “Mob Rules,” “Die Young,” “Neon Knights,” “Children Of The Sea” and an epic 15-minute-plus version of “Heaven And Hell.” The quartet also performed a pair of new songs—the hit single “The Devil Cried” and “Shadow Of The Wind.” Both songs debuted earlier this year on Black Sabbath: The Dio Years (Rhino/Warner Bros. Records), the first comprehensive introduction to the Dio era’s legacy. The DVD will include the entire show shot in breathtaking HD as well as a tour documentary and other bonus footage.
Following this spring’s successful U.S. tour, Heaven And Hell is scheduled to spend the summer playing concerts and festivals around the world. In early September, the group will return to the U.S. for another round of shows. Look for dates and a full lineup to be announced soon.
Together for a short but memorable time—a trio of studio albums, a classic live album and a couple of tours—the second coming of Black Sabbath began in 1979 when founding members Iommi and Butler were joined by Dio. The former singer of Elf (and later Rainbow and Dio) added his fiery, demonic howl to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame group’s unmistakable sound. The Dio-led lineup disbanded in 1983 and reunited in 1992 to record Dehumanizer and tour before again going on hiatus.

en tou cas le nouveau titre "Shadow Of The Wind" est purement dans l'esprit du 'Sab, même si le riff n'est pas aussi percutant que ceux qu'ont peut trouver dans Children Of The Sea ou autre.

Rah, ça fait plaisir, d'autant plus que le groupe a vraiment la patate pendant ce concert (hormis Vinnie Appice qui me semble peiner pas mal de fois, notamment lors de son solo de batterie)

Pour une fois je pensais pas a ma pomme, je me disais que j'allais pas laisser ma Femme avec les amis qui nous hebergeaient en plein NY, etpuis les places etaient vraiment pas données, enfin bref j'ai plein d'excuses moisies pour dire qu j'ai raté un grand concert dans une salle mythique

J'ai ce dvd depuis 4 jours (édition simple)
Tout simplement excellent. Dio a une voix énorme et une pêche d'enfer.
Je n'ai pas d'équipement 5.1, mais une HiFi stéreo.
En 2.0, le son est très bon.
C'est bien filmé et le décor est superbe. On sent toute fois que les caméras ont quelques difficultés dans les moment sombres, avec les protagonistes habillés en noir. Seul Dio s'en sort au début avec sa chemise blanche.
Les bonus de l'édition simple sont dispensables.

Ca doit être les mêmes que pour l'édition DVD+2CD. Quatre petits films pour une durée totale de 20 minutes, à tout casser, avec les traditionnels "ça fait du bien de rejouer ces morceaux", "Black Sabbath est le meilleur groupe du monde de tous les temps", etc...
Je ne m'attendais pas à grand-chose de ce point de vue mais ça aurait été sympa de mettre des images d'archives, de parler des albums de la période Dio, de diffuser des clips (il a bien dû y en avoir)... Ce line-up n'a pas duré des lustres, je pense que le peu d'archives qui doit exister aurait pu être mis sur ce DVD...

J'ai eu de la chance que mon père m'ait offert le billet pour le show de Québec, car sinon, moi aussi j'aurais manqué (ça coûtait la peau des fesses ) la tournée. En plus il y avait Megadeth.

héhé je l'ai acheté a la fnac a sainté (juste après t'avoir croisé avec ton vélo), et maintenant a forum et a la fnac il n y a que la version simple! Le coffret cd dvd est magnifique!!
Tu viendrais avec nous hellia a Londres voir Heaven and Hell? (tu les as déjà vu je crois aux gods)
