This is a statement Angus-Drummer William Lawson sent us yesterday!
Hi Volker,
I have some disturbing news for you and all our fans.
It seems I can not play drums (or do anything else for that matter) in the comming 6/9 months or maybe even longer due to a recent spinal injury for which I´am analysed right now at the hospital. I´ve had a period with much pain and immobility. I´am still on medication and using painkillers and muscleweakeners and cannot do my job properly aswell. After diagnose it could be.
I need surgery, but in any case I need rest and have to reintegrate using fysiotherapy for a long time. This means I will not be able to play drums at this time or any other time in the future for the periode mentioned and ANGUS can not make it to Swordbrothers in December. This is for my personally a hard dicision to make and accept the reality of my poor backcondition. But, after reality sank in, I had to face the facts. It?s with many regrets I´am writing you these words.
I hope that you and all our fans will understand my medical situation. I'm very sorry my friend. We have to cancel more concerts as we had some really nice gigs planned. What can I say..., live can be a pain in the ass and plays some tricks on me at the moment. I told the guys of the band they could go on with another drummer, but they wouldn´t hear of it. I´am touched by their support as I hope you and our fans will do either.

The real reason is that the promoter didn't take his responsabilities and was not able to fullfill his commitments.
That was totally beyond our control : the promoter decided himself before finding an amicable agreement to replace Nightmare at the festival.
The band regrets a lot this situation but it will definitely come to Germany in 2008 in much better conditions.
