Hell-O SUMMER BREEZE community!

As you haven’t heard from us for quite some time already it is about time to update you on what is going on.

The arrangement of the Newcomer Stage 2008 (http://www.newcomer-stage.de) is constantly in process. Tons of band applications have arrived during the last months. And like it was last year there are quite some unpolished diamonds among them. It’s going to be as hard to make a choice as it was last time. The final competition will again be in the party tent. A renowned jury consisting of media people and record company representatives will join you making a difficult decision of who will be the one to open up the SUMMER BREEZE on one of the big stages the day after.

So in case you and your band still being without a record deal living in Germany, Austria or Switzerland please send your demo material with contact information and some band info to:

Your application has to be with us by March, 31st the latest to make sure you being considered.

But also regarding the billing we are getting somewhere. Nearly 80 of the planned 90 bands are confirmed to blow your minds from the 13th to the 16th of August.

Tickets are still available on our homepage (http://www.summer-breeze.de). For 60,- EURO including parking, camping and bus shuttle you can already get hold of tickets for the SUMMER BREEZE 2008.

There will be some changes at the site. The sluice you have to go through entering the site by car will be relocated to avoid a possible traffic jam. Also the party tent will be moved closer to the two main stages this time. So running back and forth is no longer necessary. But it’s still too soon for details. So stay tuned.

A hot advice to open up the festival season properly: The 6th SUNDOWN Festival will take place on Friday, May 2nd 2008 for the first time at the Kochertalmetropole (former SUMMER BREEZE site) in Abtsgmuend. More info to be found at http://www.sundownfestival.de! As always expect a high class billing. Headlining slots will be filled by SODOM and PAIN a.o.!

A last advice we would like you to take. Oliver Barth to most of you better known as “Bomber” is good friend and confidant not just of the SUMMER BREEZE. He can often be seen behind a camera catching the best pictures and the most exciting impressions. On our My Space site (http://www.myspace.com/summerbreezeopenair) the latest results of his artistic talent can be seen. A very well done trailer for the anniversary-BREEZE 2007. But in a slightly different style. Not only pictures of the bands and fans are shown but also some impressios of what is going on back stage have been caught as far as time allowed to. We think it’s a splendid and well turned out little movie which you should not miss!
