White lion, "Return of the pride"

Frontiers Records is pleased to announce all the details surrounding the highly anticipated come back studio album from White Lion entitled Return of The Pride.
All the trademarks of the White Lion classic sound can be found again in the new album which offers a musical variety that covers the entire musical spectrum the band is well know for. Return Of The Pride kicks off with Sangre de Cristo, a thunderous epic that ventures into lyrical and musical territories best heard, than described. Battle At Little Big Horn is the album's other soaring epic, a musical re-enactment of one of Native America's most significant historical event's: Custer's Last Stand. Hook laden rockers such as Dream, Live Your Life and Finally See The Light maintain a positive musical and lyrical vibe throughout the album, whereas Gonna Do It My Way and Let Me Be Me are the modern day Living On The Edge songs of rebellion.
Return of The Pride will include the following songs: Sangre de Cristo; Dream; Live Your Life; Set Me Free; I Will; Battle at Little Big Horn; Never Let You Go; Gonna Do It My Way; Finally See The Light; Let Me Be Me; Take Me Home (European Bonus Track).
The album was produced by singer Mike Tramp and bassist Claus Langeskov and recorded during 2007 in both Australia and Copenhagen, Denmark, in between touring commitments.
White Lion is set to appear live in the summer 2008 with the plan to storm the European audiences. Get ready for the Return of the Pride to be released on Frontiers Records on March 14 with a release in Japan scheduled on King Records.

Cool, oui j'espere que ca sonnera plus comme du white lion que comme du Tramp en solo. En tout cas, leurs concerts etaient bein dans cet esprit, même si n'est pas Vito Bratta qui veut...
Sympa le titre a double sens, "le retour de la meute (je crois que lon dit comme ça en français pour les lions ? )" et "fier a nouveau"...

Il a une voix quand même le bonhomme,mais ça fait longtemps que je n'ai plus rien écouté d'eux,depuis Mane attraction en fait.
Je vois qu'ils ont sorti un DVD : WHITE LION - CONCERT ANTHOLOGY 1987-1991.
Qui a déjà vu cette galette ?

Ya plus Vito Bratta ??? Mais alors c'est plus White Lion ! En plus, il était aussi compositeur des chansons, non ? Et un super gratteux !!
En tout cas, White Lion, c'est bien en album, mais en live, "pleurnichou", le chanteur (Mike Tramp), il salope les chansons !!

Meilleur album du Lion Blanc : "Mane attraction". Je n'ai jamais compris que ce skeud ait été un flop complet.

Perso je préfère assez nettement les 2 premiers, l'excellent et trop méconnu "Fight to survive" et le sublime "Pride". Quant au 3è, "Big game", c'est un bon disque, mais il est complètement plombé par sa prod.
Comme vous, un nouvel album de White Lion sans Bratta, ça ne ma fait pas grand chose.

Même si j'aime la disco compléte j'ai un gros faible pour cet album testament qui se termine par Farewell To You...
Quand au futur nouvel album, ce n'est plus White Lion mais Tramp qui veut faire de la money sous ce nom, that's all...

c'est clair que "main attraction" est vraiment top de chez top , par contre le White Lion post Vito Bratta ne m'inspire que très moyennement . En tout cas j'ai un respect total envers la démarche de Mike Tramp qui continues à faire de la zik dans un quasi anonymat (dans la même démarche retourner dans les clubs avec freak of nature c'était courageux).Le mec fait ça par passion et c'est juste bien cool

Heu.... en même temps, si Bratta était revenu ils auraient pas pris le Stade de France pour autant.

Assez déçu par ce dernier album ... de bonne choses mais un ensemble un peu mou et un chant un peu trop bonjovien (actuel)

Un DVD de leur prestation au Bang Your Head va sortir en décembre, bizarrement ce n'est pas leur show de 2008 mais celui de 2005 :
Frontiers Records recently announced the release of WHITE LION - Bang Your Head Festival 2005 DVD, on December 5th, 2008. The DVD artwork has since been revealed (pictured on the left, click to enlarge).
"White Lion left its musical mark in the late 80s with a series of albums including Mane Attraction, Big Game and the million seller Pride, which spawned such hits as 'Wait' and 'When The Children Cry'. The band was also recognized for its signature album tracks that transcended socio-political themes such as 'Lady Of The Valley', 'Cry For Freedom', 'Lights N Thunder' and 'Warsong'.
White Lion originally disbanded in 1991 and it wasn’t until 2005 when singer Mike Tramp decided to handpick a handful of musicians (including Jamie Law on guitar, Troy Patrick Farrell on drums, Henning Wanner on keyboards and Claus Langeskov on bass) to carry again the flag of White Lion in a long European tour that culminated in a successful apparition at the Bang Your Head Festival.
In Tramp’s own words, “this concert was the definitive turning point and event that finally convinced me that it was worth going on with the next chapter of White Lion and that rock fans had not forgotten and still appreciated the music of White Lion.”
And indeed this DVD reflects the magic of an unforgettable night with amazing renditions of all the band’s hits and signature songs. A testament of what was and a statement for the future who brought the successful studio return album Return Of he Pride, released in March 2008.
DVD contents include:

Pas si bizzare quand on y réfléchit, puisque Wait tiré de ce show figurait sur le DVD Best Of Bang Your head......

cool j'y etais et ça va faire un chouette souvenir !
Par contre c'est un peu maigrichon comme contenu quand on voit certains double ou triple dvds bourrés jusqu'a la gueule de nos jours...
M'enfin en venant sur ce topic je pensais que Mike avait annoncé pour la 18eme fois que suite au manque d'intérêt du public il avait décidé de saborder White Lion !
