The original lineup of the highly influential New York-based group BIOHAZARD, whose intense fusion of the aggression of hardcore, punk and thrash metal with the socio-critical commentary and authenticity of hip-hop earned the band extensive international acclaim will reunite for a series of performances in the summer of 2008 to commemorate the band's 20th anniversary. A new group photo can be viewed at this location. Bassist/vocalist Evan Seinfeld, guitarist/vocalist Billy Graziadei, drummer Danny Schuler and guitarist Bobby Hambel have not performed together publicly since 1995, when Hambel left the group at the end of the touring cycle for BIOHAZARD's third album and major-label debut, "State Of The World Address".

Like its predecessor, the landmark "Urban Discipline" (1992), "State Of The World Address" sold more than 1 million copies worldwide and capped the band's evolution from a Brooklyn local favorite into an international success. In recent years, Schuler kept busy by playing drums for the band Bloodclot and occasionally mixing music for other artists, frequently in collaboration with Graziadei. In addition to his success with his new band SUICIDE CITY (currently working on the second release) Graziadei also stays active producing and recording bands in his studio; Underground Sound Studios. Seinfeld, meanwhile, remained in the public eye via high-profile appearances on HBO (five seasons on the critically acclaimed prison drama "Oz") and VH1 ("SuperGroup"), as well as a column in Stuff magazine. Additionally, he shot photos for such publications as Playboy, Penthouse and FHM and voiced characters in the video games Manhunt, The Warriors and the forthcoming Grand Theft Auto IV, and as CEO of Teravision, he currently manages the career of his wife, leading adult film star Tera Patrick, whom he has directed and performed with under the name Spyder Jonez. He also recently launched a new band, THE SPYDERZ.

Seinfeld admits that none of these extracurricular activities would have been possible without the success of BIOHAZARD, and looks forward to returning to his roots. "BIOHAZARD was the single most important chapter in our lives," he says. "Our music brought us together and helped us rise up out of the streets of Brooklyn. Our journey has been an amazing one, and for me, it's all about my brothers Billy, Bobby and Danny, and of course the fans, whose undying support has never given up on the hopes of a reunion of the original band. I'm proud to announce that the four of us have decided to bring our special brand of hardcore tribal ceremony better known as a BIOHAZARD live show to select venues across the globe. Here comes the pain, and see you in the pit, motherfuckers!" Adds Hambel, "We owe it to ourselves and to everyone who wants to see the original band reunite. We've lost a lot of great friends and musicians over the years, but we're still here — and it's time to set the record straight!"

In early January, the original BIOHAZARD members met and rehearsed together for the first time in a dozen years. "To be in the same room with old friends again fuckin' rocked," says Graziadei. "We created something unique back in the day and I'm psyched we can all hang together and recapture that vibe. It's like time stood still and we're all 19 again!" "I'm extremely happy that we're all friends again," Schuler adds. "Life is too short, and all the fights, rumors and beefs don't matter anymore. What matters is the four of us being friends and getting up on stage again together. I can't wait to do this."

"State of the world address" c'était la classe quand même.

J'en ai 4 (State of the World Address, Mata Leao, le live et Uncivilization).

The members of seminal NYC Platinum hardcore/metal band BIOHAZARD have announced that bassist/co-vocalist Evan Seinfeld has left the lineup.

"We have a long history together, but it's time for a change," said guitarist/co-founder Bobby Hambel. "We wish Evan well."

Ca doit être le titre " how it is " feat Sean Dog de CYPRESS HILL.

Metalshrine: Well, the obvious question first. Why did [bassist/vocalist Evan Seinfeld] leave?

Billy: It dropped like a bombshell. It kind of came up from left field. We finished tracking the [new BIOHAZARD] record in late February and really didn't have much contact with him that much. Everything was through management and I was working on the mix with [producer] Toby [Wright] and some additional overdubs and different ideas and some piano and keyboard stuff. Then a couple of weeks ago he calls up and says, "I can't do it anymore!" He's got a bunch of personal stuff and it's mostly secret. But it's personal between… it's what's going on in his life, but he made a decision and we weren't happy about it, but we made our decision to continue and keep going. It would be great if he was here and I know he's proud of the record and as happy as it came out as we are. We were all there and made it together and focused equally on it, but rather to let it die out, we said, "You know what? Fuck it! We're all psyched and happy and even though things are different it doesn't mean much has changed!" The heart and soul of the band is still intact and we're gonna continue.

Metalshrine: How's Scott [Roberts, who played on the band's 2005 "Means To An End" album] working out?

Billy: He's great! He was the guy [that joined BIOHAZARD] after Bobby [Hambel left]. It took us a long time to find him, but we knew him and he filled in for us at the last minute, but he stepped up and did it. It was a tough obstacle to overcome but we did it. We played Download [festival in England], which was cool and the next day we played the Metal Hammer boat and that was a phenomenal show! All the kids were like, "Wow!" and even the editors of the magazine were like… and they've been doing this for ten years and in the past three of four years with ANTHRAX and HELLYEAH and they were like, "Nobody's rocked the boat like you guys did!" It was cool! What happens in the future when I go home, we'll sort that out, but right now I'm just here to talk about the record.

Metalshrine: As I understand it, Scott is not gonna be a permanent member and you're gonna find someone else.

Billy: We don't know what we're gonna do right now. Yes, the answer was that Scott was just temporary, but who knows? He did a great job and the feedback from everybody was like, "Wow!" He looks a little like [Evan] and he sounds a little like him, but we're not looking at this as a replacement, it's more like a change. Something different, you know, but it's still BIOHAZARD. There's opportunity to bring something new to the table and we'll see. Right now it's just playing and doing a lot of press. I haven't had one second to have a crap by myself, let alone anything else. (laughs)

Et le nouvel album dans la foulée :

http://www.facebook.com/nuclearblasteur ... 8091127385
Seminal New York City hardcore/metal band BIOHAZARD has set "Reborn In Defiance" as the title of its tenth studio album, due in Europe on September 26 (three days earlier in Germany) via Nuclear Blast Records.

The band's first new studio CD in six years and the first with the original lineup — Evan Seinfeld (vocals, bass), Billy Graziadei (guitar, vocals), Danny Schuler (drums) and Bobby Hambel (guitar) — since 1994's "State of The World Address" was produced by Toby Wright, who has previously worked with KORN, SLAYER, MÖTLEY CRÜE, KISS, FEAR FACTORY, IN FLAMES, STONE SOUR and OZZY OSBOURNE, among others.

Seinfeld left BIOHAZARD in June after the new CD was completed and was temporarily replaced by Scott Roberts, who played on the band's 2005 "Means To An End" album and has been part of the BIOHAZARD extended family since.

Commented guitarist/vocalist Billy Graziadei: "When we got back together in 2008, we erased the last memory of BIOHAZARD in people's heads and replaced it with a new kick-ass memory of what BIOHAZARD was all about back in the day.

"People heard we used to fuck shit up, but being back together again as the original BIOHAZARD gave us a chance to re-write history. Now we're doing it once again with a brand new album.

"Our new album, 'Reborn In Defiance', is everything I love about BIOHAZARD but more....in 2011! 100% ass-kicking in every way.... See you in the pit!"
