Le 26 mai PARADISE LOST sortira un double DVD "The Anatomy Of Melancholy" qui sera également disponible dans une édition très limitée en format 2DVD+2CD et 2LP!

Achat prévu pour moi. Pour les fans je conseille également le DVD docu qui est sorti il y a quelques mois "Over the madness"

très bel objet je confirme mais je suis un peu déçu par la vidéo ...

j'ai ecouté plusieurs fois ce double live , il est pas mal . Le choix des morceaux est sympa, le son est bien dynamique mais je n'arrive pas à me faire à la voix !
ça manque de punch et souvent nick holmes manque de puissance et apparaît comme assez limité , c'est dommage.

Je mets ça-là, le batteur quitte le groupe et les dates sud-américaines sont annulées:
UK gothic metal pioneers PARADISE LOST have issued the following update:
"It is with regret that we have to announce the cancellation of our South American tour. Sincere apologies to all the fans and promoters involved but this decision follows the announcement of the departure of our drummer Jeff Singer. We are committed to doing the 20th anniversary 'Unholy Trinity' dates in Europe with a stand-in drummer but it will be impossible to find and appoint a new drummer in time for the shows in South America. We hope to reschedule a South American tour next year."

On m'a offert ce magnifique coffret ce week-end. Déjà, je pensais pas qu'il était sorti, donc v'là la surprise.
Et puis après visionnage du DVD, houaou !
Il est bien mieux filmé que le précédent. Je me suis rappelé la tournée ... La set-list touche tous les albums, même Host, et surtout le son est parfaitement mixé. On entend juste ce qu'il faut le public.
Des morceaux bien plus puissants en version live.
Pas encore écouté le double CD, mais bon, mon impression ne changera pas.
Bref, je le conseille à tout fan, même modéré, de Paradise Lost.

Superbe objet je ne m'en lasse pas...C'est vrai que Holmes et un peu juste sur certains morceaux,une impression etrange...m'enfin le live reste quand même d'un tres bon niveau que ce soit l'image,le son et la setlist.Pour le depart du nouveau batteur c'est etonnant ce problème qu'a Paradise Lost à trouver le bon membre (ohhhh!!!!) pour integrer le groupe derriere les futs...

Nick Holmes veut faire du prochain album le plus "extrême" du groupe...
Suite 101: Last year's "In Requiem" was probably the heaviest album you've done in years. Was that the end of a process that started with "Symbol Of Life"?
Nick: "Possibly, but a lot of the time it's not down to the songwriting, it's more down to production. The last few albums up to 'In Requiem', it's been very vocally orientated. The vocals have been high in the mix and we've kind of kept the drums and guitars down lower. With the last one we wanted to make a point of bringing the guitars and the drums up again, which is kinda what metal productions are — really loud drums and guitars. We really made a point of doing that this time and as a result it instantly sounds heavier. We'll probably do even moreso on the next one because we're still in that mindset. Each album you try and better your last one and that's what everybody does. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't but we want to take it even more extreme and probably make the most extreme album we've ever done."
Suite 101: More extreme as in heavier?
Nick: "Well, we've always been about writing songs. We'll hopefully be writing good and melodic songs but hopefully yeah, with a bit more heaviness in there too."
Suite 101: So how far are you with the 12th album?
Nick: "We're actually working on it right now. We're working on the material and we're looking at going into the studio round about January."
